Prayer Tips
What If I Don’t Know How to Pray?
If you don’t know how to pray, trust that the Holy Spirit will help you in prayer. Although it is a flesh activity it converts into a spiritual activity when you call on the Name of Jesus. Simply ask Him to help you. Start off with basic words and progressively the words will come to mind and increase in power and impact and volume as the Holy Spirit empowers you.
Romans 8:26-27 “ In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
We don’t need to use multiple of words or act holy when you pray, no just talk to God in a simple way. He even told us not to become like the heathen to impress people.
Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Romeine 3:23-24
Gebed
Here ek erken dat ek ‘n sondaar in die Wêreld is sonder U in my Lewe. Here ek besef wel dat as ek met hierdie pad voortgaan ek in die Hel sal beland! Here ek het besluit om die 12 stappe na die Hemel te neem, ontmoet my asseblief op my Reis na die Hemel en stap saam met my al die pad. Ek dank U Here Amen en Amen
Gebed Wenke

Bible Teaching of the Day
Concentrate on the Cross – Part 5
The seven statements that Jesus Christ made on the cross were (not in any particular order):
(1) Matthew 27:46 tells us that about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Here, Jesus was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him. As Jesus endured that weight of sin, He, who alone is holy, was “made . . . to be sin for us” (2 Corinthians 5:21), and He cried out in agony. This cry from the cross echoed the statement in Psalm 22:1.
(2) “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). Those who crucified Jesus were not aware of the full scope of what they were doing because they did not recognize Him as the Messiah. While their ignorance of divine truth did not mean they deserved forgiveness, Christ’s prayer in the midst of their mocking Him is an expression of the limitless compassion of divine grace.
(3) “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43). In this passage, Jesus is assuring one of the criminals on the cross that when he died, he would be with Jesus in heaven. This was granted because even at the hour of his death, the criminal had expressed his faith in Jesus, recognizing Him for who He was (Luke 23:42).
(4) “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit” (Luke 23:46). Here, Jesus is willingly giving up His soul into the Father’s hands, indicating that He was about to die – and that God had accepted His sacrifice. He “offered up Himself unblemished to God” (Hebrews 9:14).
(5) “Dear Woman, here is your son!” and “Here is your mother!” When Jesus saw His mother standing near the cross with the Apostle John, whom He loved, He committed His mother’s care into John’s hands. And from that hour John took her unto his own home (John 19:26-27). In this verse Jesus, ever the compassionate Son, is making sure His earthly mother is cared for after His death.
(6) “I am thirsty” (John 19:28). Jesus was here fulfilling the Messianic prophecy from Psalm 69:21: “They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.” By saying He was thirsty, He prompted the Roman guards to give Him vinegar, which was customary at a crucifixion, thereby fulfilling the prophecy.
(7) “It is finished!” (John 19:30). Jesus’ last words meant that His suffering was over and the whole work His Father had given Him to do, which was to preach the Gospel, work miracles, and obtain eternal salvation for His people, was done, accomplished, fulfilled. The debt of sin was paid.
(4) “Vader, in u hande gee Ek my gees oor” (Luk. 23:46).
(6) “Ek is dors” (Johannes 19:28). Jesus was hier besig om die Messiaanse profesie uit Psalm 69:21 te vervul: “Hulle het gal in my spys gegooi en vir my asyn gegee vir my dors.” Deur te sê dat Hy dors was, het Hy die Romeinse wagte aangespoor om vir Hom asyn te gee, wat gebruiklik was by ‘n kruisiging, en sodoende die profesie vervul.
(7) “Dit is volbring!” (Johannes 19:30).

Today’s Devotional
“COME SIT A WHILE”
I often see vehicles with stickers stating “Protected by Psalm 91” on the back.
Today I wish to spend some time on Psalm 91 but with special emphasis on verse 1. Reading verse one you will see that God (by mouth of the Psalmist) sets out certain terms and conditions we need to adhere to prior to claiming or receiving God’s protection. In this verse the psalmist gives a prerequisite to receive this protection.
Let’s read Psalm 91: 1 from a few different translations:
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (King James)
You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, (Message)
Whoever lives under the shelter of the Most High will remain in the shadow of the Almighty. (God’s word)
The Hebrew text literally means: “to sit down, by implication to dwell, to remain; to ease oneself, to settle, to become comfortable.” (Taken from the Strong’s commentary)
For us to experience the promises of God in this Psalm we need to comply with God’s terms and conditions. God wants us to come into his presence – to sit down with Him. Sitting down implies that we are not in a hurry, we’re at ease and comfortable. A lot of times we appear to be in a hurry, it seems like we are simply passing through. We pray in the run. We haven’t got time to sit down and spend some time with God or to relax in His presence.
Many years ago, a friend of mine gave me the following advice, “Go rest on a moonlit porch for a while. Don’t talk too much, just sit, and listen. Soon the night sounds will start ministering to you, the sounds we all know like a cricket singing or a bird protecting its young. But between these sounds there’s another voice waiting to be heard. It is the soft gentle voice of the Father who wants to touch you and remind you of his love, power, and assistance.”
Let us take some time out and sit in God’s presence. Let us allow Him to minister to us trough His Spirit. God will protect us, bless us and keep us – but God wants us to spend quality time in His presence. Let us be still, and know that He is God! (Psalm 46:10)
Vandag se Bemoediging
“KOM SIT ‘N RUKKIE”
(Psalm 46:10)

Bible Prophecy in the News
China Is Already Practicing For A Space Pearl Harbor

“With our commercial assets, we have observed five different objects in space maneuvering in and out and around each other in synchronicity and in control,” the U.S. Space Force’s Vice Chief of Space Operations Gen. Michael Guetlein told the 16th annual McAleese Defense Programs conference in Arlington, Virginia on March 18. “That’s what we call dogfighting in space. They are practicing tactics, techniques and procedures to do on-orbit space operations from one satellite to another.”
Guetlein’s stark comment about China signals a break with the past. “This marks the end of the Western-American-liberal dream of nations leaving wars on Earth so they can cooperate in space to advance humanity,” Richard Fisher of the International Assessment and Strategy Center told Gatestone after the general’s widely publicized remarks. “Communist China has now taken war to the heavens, to low earth orbit, and very likely, will take war to the moon, Mars, and beyond. The heavens are no longer safe for the democracies.
Space is now a highly contested domain, but it wasn’t always this way. “We told ourselves we would be the dominant power forever,” Brandon Weichert, author of Winning Space: How America Remains a Superpower, said to Gatestone. “We coasted on that notion for far too long. Rising powers, notably China and Russia, saw how reliant we were on space–and how poorly defended our systems were. Our access to the strategic high ground is now more threatened than ever before.”
As Weichert points out, “bureaucratic inertia and a lack of visionary leadership from both political parties” allowed China and Russia to develop the capabilities to threaten America in space.
There was another party at fault: The U.S. military failed to protest when it could see there was an obvious threat. “There was a gentlemen’s agreement until recent that we didn’t mess with each other’s space systems,” Guetlein said. “We didn’t jam them, we didn’t spoof them, we didn’t lase them, we just kept them safe.”
Why was the U.S. so gentlemanly? Presidents believed that because the U.S. had more space assets than others, it was not in America’s interest to trigger a race to build weapons to destroy those assets. Yet this view, appearing commonsense at first glance, was naïve: It was apparent even then that neither China nor Russia could be enticed into good behavior. Generals and admirals should have sounded the warning.
There was a lot to warn about. On January 11, 2007, for instance, China demonstrated its intentions by launching a modified ground-based DF-21 missile to destroy an old Chinese weather satellite.
In 2022, a Chinese satellite “grappled” a defunct Chinese satellite and towed it to a “graveyard orbit.”
Moreover, as Fisher notes, China had already configured its one large orbiting platform, the Tiangong Space Station, for military missions as well as civilian ones. One of its modules can launch either very small satellites that can perform interception missions or satellites carrying powerful laser and microwave weapons that can destroy satellites in multiple orbits.
What was the American response to the obvious Chinese advances in space-warfare capabilities? Vice President Kamala Harris in April 2022 announced a unilateral moratorium on ground-launched anti-satellite missile tests, in the hopes that other nations would follow suit.
With this posture, it is no wonder why America’s lead in space warfare–if it exists–is narrowing.
Now, China is making fast progress in building space weapons. “The Chinese ISR”–intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance–“capabilities are become very capable,” said Guetlein. “They have gone from what we used to call a ‘Kill Chain’ to a ‘Kill Mesh.'” A Kill Mesh combines ISR satellites with an array of weapons systems.
The Chinese array appears impressive. As Fisher points out, the People’s Liberation Army has developed ground-based ASAT–anti-satellite–interceptors to destroy satellites in both low earth orbit and much higher medium earth orbits. At the same time, China, as Guetlein’s comments make clear, is working on “co-orbital” interceptors, satellites that can follow, approach, dock with, or use robotic arms to grapple other satellites into useless orbits.
For the future, Fisher reports, China is developing large, unmanned space planes that can re-enter the atmosphere to maneuver toward a new orbit and then relaunch into space to deploy energy and missile weapons. The PLA also appears to be working on large combat platforms that can attack satellite targets in multiple orbits. Expect the Chinese military also to deploy clusters of combat satellites to attack the Lunar and Martian satellite networks of the future.
“The recent demonstration of Chinese ‘dogfighting’ capabilities in space is an indicator that Beijing means to use force on earth,” says Weichert. “By targeting sensitive U.S. military satellites, the People’s Liberation Army can render us deaf, dumb, and blind, long before it strikes.”
The Chinese are evidently planning to blind not only America’s military but also America’s civilian society, which is heavily dependent on space assets. Almost nothing modern in America will work when the Chinese are finished attacking in the heavens.
As Weichert said, “A space Pearl Harbor is at hand.”
Signs of the Times in the News
Theology Abandoned: The Church’s Crisis Of Biblical Ignorance

A recent Barna poll has sent shockwaves through the Christian community, revealing that only 24% of theologically-identified born-again Christians believe in the Trinity. Even worse, among self-identifying Christians, that number drops to a mere 16%–a statistic that, while alarming, should not be surprising given the increasing biblical illiteracy in the Church.
This core doctrine of the Christian faith, defining God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in one Being, is not a theological afterthought; it is foundational to our salvation, our worship, and our very understanding of who God is.
This staggering decline in doctrinal literacy raises urgent questions: How did we get here? And more importantly, how do we reverse this alarming trend?
The Fruit of Biblical Illiteracy
The poll’s findings are not an isolated phenomenon. Over the past two decades, numerous studies have documented the erosion of biblical knowledge among professing Christians. The American Bible Society’s annual “State of the Bible” report consistently shows a decline in Bible engagement. Lifeway Research has reported that only 32% of Protestant churchgoers read their Bible daily.
We now live in an era where many churchgoers cannot articulate the Gospel, name the Ten Commandments, or explain fundamental doctrines like justification, sanctification, and the Trinity. The fruit of this ignorance is evident: a growing number of professing believers are embracing a watered-down, cultural Christianity that bears little resemblance to the faith “once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3).
The Church’s Abdication of Teaching Doctrine
A primary cause of this crisis is the Church’s increasing neglect of sound teaching. Many modern churches, in their effort to attract large crowds and avoid controversy, have abandoned expository preaching and robust doctrinal instruction in favor of feel-good messages and self-help-style sermons.
While encouragement and practical application have their place, they must never come at the expense of truth. The apostle Paul warned that a time would come when people “will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions” (2 Timothy 4:3). That time is now.
Further, many pastors assume that their congregants already know core Christian teachings. But in a culture saturated with secularism, relativism, and competing worldviews, we must be intentional in forming disciples who know what they believe and why. It is not enough to assume that attendees will “pick up” doctrine through osmosis. The Church must deliberately and repeatedly teach foundational truths.
The Influence of Secular Thinkers and Social Media Influencers
Adding to this crisis is the rise of secular thinkers and social media influencers, particularly on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, who have become the primary “theologians” of our day. Many of these voices promote spirituality while rejecting the biblical Gospel, shaping the spiritual views of millions. While they may offer thought-provoking insights on personal growth, they lack theological grounding and often mix Christianity with New Age mysticism or self-centered ideology.
The danger is not merely that secular figures are filling a void left by the Church; it is that many Christians are turning to them as their primary source of worldview formation rather than to Scripture and sound biblical teaching. This is why we see a growing number of “spiritual but not religious” individuals who appreciate Jesus as a wise teacher but reject His divinity, the Holy Spirit’s role, and the reality of the Trinity.
A Call to Return to Biblical Faithfulness
The road back to theological literacy and biblical faithfulness begins with the Church recommitting itself to teaching the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27). We must:
Prioritize Expository Preaching – Pastors and teachers must systematically teach Scripture, ensuring that congregants understand the full narrative of the Bible, not just isolated verses or inspirational messages.
Emphasize Discipleship – Churches must foster deep, intentional discipleship, equipping believers to grow in their faith, understand doctrine, and live out biblical truth in everyday life.
Encourage Daily Scripture Engagement – Christians must be immersed in God’s Word. Churches should provide resources, reading plans, and accountability structures to encourage regular Bible study.
Correct False Teaching Boldly – In an era of confusion, pastors and leaders must courageously confront and correct theological errors, ensuring that congregants are not led astray by secular philosophies or distorted gospels.
Model Deep Faith and Worship – The way we worship shapes what we believe. Churches must ensure that their worship services, prayers, and sacraments reflect deep reverence for the triune God rather than mere entertainment or emotional experience.
A Time for Decision
The decline of belief in the Trinity is a symptom of a larger crisis–a crisis of biblical illiteracy, shallow discipleship, and cultural conformity. But it is not too late. God is raising up a remnant that longs for truth, that desires to know Him deeply, and that will stand against the tide of theological compromise. The question before us is simple: Will we be counted among them?
It is time for the Church to wake up. The integrity of our witness, the faith of future generations, and the very soul of the Church depend on it.

Introduction to the Bible
A good summary / survey of the Bible is difficult to achieve. The Bible is comprised of 2
testaments, 66 different books, 1,189 chapters, 31,173 verses, and 773,692 words. The different
books of the Bible cover different topics and were addressed to different audiences. The books
of the Bible were written by approximately 40 different men over a period of approximately
1,500 years. A summary / survey of the entire Bible is therefore a major undertaking.
At the same time, the Holy Spirit was the “inspiring” author of the Bible. God “breathed out” His
Word and used the prophets and apostles to write His Word down (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter
1:21). Further, all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ have the Holy Spirit indwelling
them (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13). The Holy Spirit desires to help us to understand the
Bible (1 Corinthians 2:10-16).
The purpose of our Bible summary / survey section is to give a basic background of each book
of the Bible. For each book of the Bible, the author, date of writing, purpose of writing, key
verses, and a brief summary will be given. We sincerely hope that our Bible summary / survey
section will help you to understand the Bible better, and will encourage you to study the Bible in
a more in-depth manner.
Here are quick summaries of the 66 books of the Bible: we will then Continue with full
summaries next. 1ST 5
Old Testament:
Genesis — God creates the universe and fashions humans in His own image and places them in
a perfect environment. The humans rebel against God and lose their paradise. The rebellion gets
so bad that God wipes out humanity with a flood, but He graciously preserves Noah and his
family. Later, God chooses and blesses the family of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (or Israel) and
promises them a land for their many descendants. Through this family God plans to bring a
Savior to reconcile the sinful world to Himself.
Exodus — The children of Israel, now living in Egypt, are forced into slavery. God prepares an
Israelite named Moses to lead the people to freedom. The king is loath to let the slaves go, so
God sends a series of plagues upon the Egyptians. Moses leads the Israelite’s through the Red
Sea, which God miraculously parts for them, and to Mt. Sinai. Camped at Sinai, the Israelite’s
receive the Law of God, including the Ten Commandments. The Law is the basis of a covenant
between God and people He has rescued, with promised blessings for obedience. The people
promise to uphold the covenant.
Leviticus — In the Law, God establishes a sacrificial system to atone for sins and a series of
festivals for Israel to observe as days of worship. God gives Moses plans for a tabernacle, a tent
where the sacrifices can be offered and God will meet with His people. God specifies that the
rituals and ceremonies of the tabernacle are to be overseen by the family of Aaron, Moses’
brother.
Numbers — The Israelite’s arrive at the border of Canaan, the land God had earlier promised to
Abraham. But the people following Moses refuse to enter the land, due to their lack of faith and
their fear of Canaan’s inhabitants. As a judgment, God consigns the Israelite’s to wandering in
the wilderness for 40 years, until the unbelieving generation passes away and a new generation
takes their place. God sustains His rebellious people with miraculous provisions throughout their
time in the wilderness.
Deuteronomy — The new generation of Israelite’s is now ready to take possession of the
Promised Land. Moses gives a series of final speeches, in which he reiterates the Law of God and
promises that one day God will send another Prophet reminiscent of the power and mission of
Moses. Moses dies in Moab.
TOMORROW THE JUDGES
“uitgeblaas” en die profete en apostels gebruik om Sy Woord neer te skryf ( 2 Timoteus 3:16-17 ;
2 Petrus 1:21 ).
‘n nuwe geslag hul plek inneem.
Moses sterf
in Moab.
