Prayers of Jesus

Luke 18:1 And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Pray and never give up.
God will answer, it may take some time but He will answer.
God want to see some measure of faith.
Go to God in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.

Gebede van Jesus

LUKAS 18:1 En Hy het vir hulle ‘n gelykenis hiertoe vertel dat die mense altyd moet bid en nie moedeloos word nie;
4 En hy wou ‘n tyd lank nie, maar daarna het hy by homself gesê: Al vrees ek God nie en ag ek geen mens nie;
5 Maar omdat hierdie weduwee my pla, sal ek haar wreek, sodat sy my nie vermoei deur haar voortdurende koms nie.

Bible Teaching of the Day

Concentrate on the Cross – Part 14

On the cross, Jesus took the punishment we deserved for our sin. He did not deserve to die, but He willingly took our place and experienced death for us. Jesus’ death was a substitution, “the righteous for the unrighteous” (1 Peter 3:18), the innocent for the guilty, the perfect for the corrupt.

The doctrine of the substitutionary atonement teaches that Christ suffered vicariously, being substituted for the sinner, and that His sufferings were expiatory (that is, His sufferings made amends). On the cross, Jesus took our place in several ways:

Jesus took our place in that He was made sin for us. “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21, NASB). As Jesus was hanging on the cross, suspended between earth and heaven, the sins of the world were placed on Him (1 Peter 2:24). The perfect Son of Man carried our guilt.

Jesus took our place in that He experienced physical death—not just any death, but the death of a lawbreaker. Everyone dies, but there is a difference between dying a “natural” death and being executed for one’s crimes. Sin is the violation of God’s law (1 John 3:4), and “the soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4, ESV). Since we have all sinned, we all deserve death (Romans 3:23; 6:23). Jesus releases us from that penalty. Although He had committed no crime (see Luke 23:15), Jesus was executed as a criminal; in fact, it is because He was sinless that His death avails to us. He had no personal sin to pay for, so His death pays for ours. Our legal debt has been paid in full—tetelestai (John 19:30). As the old gospel song says, “He paid a debt He did not owe; I owed a debt I could not pay.”

So, Jesus took our place judicially, bearing the penalty of sin and dying in our place. “When you were dead in your sins . . . , God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:13–14). In other words, God nailed all the accusations against us to the cross. God will never see believers in Christ as deserving the death penalty because our crimes have already been punished in the physical body of Jesus (see Romans 8:1).

God’s Law says, “You are guilty of sin against a holy God. Justice demands your life.” Jesus answers, “Take My life instead.” The fact that Jesus took our place shows God’s great love: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13).

But the penalty for sin extends beyond physical death to include a spiritual separation from God. Again, in this matter, Jesus took our place. Part of Christ’s agony on the cross was a feeling of separation from the Father. After three hours of supernatural darkness in the land, Jesus cried out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34). Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf, we need never experience that sense of abandonment (Hebrews 13:5). We can never fathom, at least in this life, how much God the Son suffered in taking our place.

We know Jesus’ suffering was intense. In the days leading up to the crucifixion, Jesus expressed distress about what was coming (John 12:27). But those who tried to dissuade Him from going to the cross were sharply rebuked—the offer to avoid the ordeal was a temptation from Satan himself (Matthew 16:21–23), and Jesus had not come to take the easy way out. On the night of His arrest, Jesus was “overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death” (Matthew 26:38). Even with having an angel to strengthen Him, Jesus actually sweated blood (Luke 22:43–44).

In order for us to be saved, Jesus had to take our place and die for sin. He had to lay down His life as a sacrifice, because “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). His sacrifice was perfect in holiness, in worth, and in power to save. After His resurrection, Jesus showed His scars to the apostles (John 20:26–27). As long as our salvation lasts (forever), the marks of our Savior’s suffering will be visible (Revelation 5:6)—an eternal reminder that He took our place.

“Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering. . . .
He was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. . . .
The Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all”
(Isaiah 53:4–6).

“Toe julle dood was in julle sondes . . . . .

Geregtigheid eis jou lewe.” Jesus antwoord: “Neem eerder My lewe.”

(Markus 15:34).

Ons weet Jesus se lyding was intens.

Hy is vir ons oortredinge deurboor,
oor ons ongeregtighede is hy verbrysel;
Die Here het hom opgelê
die ongeregtigheid van ons almal”
(Jesaja 53:4–6).

Today’s Devotional

NO GREATER LOVE?

This morning I wanted to tell you about the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I wanted to tell you about His back being torn open with a whip, His hands and feet being pierced with nails, His head being torn open with thorns, and His side being pierced with a spear. I wanted to tell you about blood dripping, blood flowing, and blood sinking into the sand.

But instead I want to tell you about His love. When Jesus said in John 15:13; “Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends,” He was not referring to any person’s love, but to His love, the greatest love ever known and ever revealed.

Because of His love, Jesus, while we were still helpless and in sin, died a gruesome death on Calvary. (See Romans 5:6) It was love that led Jesus, the Good Shepherd, to lay down His life for His sheep. (John 10:11)

It was not the nails that held Jesus to the cross. It was His love for mortals like you and me that kept Him there. It was not the tomb that held Him captive for three days, but it was His love for you and me.

It is because of His love and blood that we can receive salvation. (Ephesians 1:7) It is because of His love, because of His suffering and His death, that we can receive life and life in abundance. (John 10:10)

Let us not forget His love for us. Let us not forget the cross on which He died, but let us hold on to Him and allow His love to not only save us, but also to be revealed in us and through us.

“Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Bible Prophecy in the News

End Time Q and A
The mark of the beast will it be before or after the rapture?

The Bible is Clear that the Mark of the Beast will be Before the Rapture . The Mark of the Beast is Implemented 3 and half years before the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ and the Rapture . Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

End Time Q and A
What role will South Africa play in the end times?

South Africa is not DIRECTLY Mentioned in Bible Prophecy ! But the Group we are Part of is Mentioned in the Bible and SA Troops may be part of this war against Israel . 70 % of the BRICS Nations is currently in Battle in Syria , BRICS stands for Brazil , Russia , India , China and South Africa with Newest Members Iran , Turkey and Lebanon . The War = Gog and Magog Ezek 38 and 39 . We just have to find out if SA will be forced to send troops to Syria to assist Russia (Gog) and Iran (Magog) in the War against Israel soon

End Time Q and A
What Happens in the Millennium Reign?

The Bible Speaks of 1000 Years after Jesus Christ Returned at His 2nd Coming taken care of the Rapture and Led the Battle of Armageddon. After this the Earth is left Destroyed and The satan and His demons is bound on Earth for a 1000 Years . Jesus and his Angel army will return to Heaven where all Raptured Children of God awaits Him , Their in Heaven they Reign as Kings and Queens until the 1000 Years is over . All from Heaven then descends with the Golden City to Earth to take care of the White Throne Judgement .
Before this all the dead on Earth shall arise , ready for the Great White Throne Judgement to take place .

End Time Q and A
What Should We Tell Others About the Great Tribulation?

The Great Tribulation is the Period that follows after the Jewish Messiah turns to be The Antichrist , Walks into the Newly Build 3rd Jewish Temple and Stop the Daily Sacrifices saying he is God himself . The Jews then stand against Him and He banish them from the Temple and End the 7 Year Peace Agreement , The Antichrist then take control of the Temple and make it the Head office of the 666 Mark of the Beast . He then Implements the Mark of the Beast .
The Time Period for the Great Tribulation is 3 and half years or 42 Months or 1290 days . In this Time period so much have to happen .
1. 144 000 Jews living in Old Judea / New Palestine have to flee for their lives .
2. The Antichrist start making all his followers with the Mark of the Beast in their Right Hand , and start to force Jews and Christians to take the 666 mark in their foreheads . This lasts for 1 Year or 12 months or 365 days.
3. Then God seals all Christians left over with the seal of God and the 144 000 that fled to The wilderness.
4. Then the 5th Trumpet sounds , being a Super Volcano that erupts to mark the Beginning of the Wrath of God against the bearers of the Mark of the Beast . This lasts 2 and a Half Years as the 7 Plaques of Gods Wrath is poured out over the Earth.
5. the 144 000 Jews and the Christians marked with the seal of God goes into Angel Protection , during the Wrath of God , but still on the Earth.
6. Then after the 6th Plaque , Jesus arrives in His 2nd Coming , the Rapture takes place and then Finally the Battle of Armageddon.

What do we Tell People to do During the Great Tribulation?

NOT TO take the Mark of the Beast. God promised a Great Revival and Pouring out of the Holy Spirit just before these events. and with all Christians newly Filled and Baptized with the Holy Spirit . The Holy Spirit will Lead them from the Antichrist and his armies. Tell them then to Listen to the Voice of the Holy Spirit , very Important . and when they are captured and forced to take the mark of the Beast . NOT TO take the Mark of the Beast. For the Great Tribulation is only called that because everything God is in Control of is Called GREAT .

End Time Q and A
Where will the Two Witnesses Come From?

The Bible does not say where the two witnesses are from. They will die & they will die in the streets of Jerusalem and the scriptures are very clear about that in Revelation 11. After the 3rd Jewish Temple is build , These Two Witnesses will stand at the Entrance and Prophecy ! The Bible says that they will be killed and they will be left laying in the streets for 3 and a half days in order to dishonor and make fun of them to vent the anger the antichrist and the entire world against them. So we don’t know where they’re from, but I’m sure that they can be from anywhere.

Signs of the Times in the News

I don’t think an Israeli Prime Minister was ever invited to the White House so quickly before. So what is going on??? It’s actually unbelievably historic!!! Most people today still think they’re watching a local war. They see Gaza, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Iran etc. and think: *’Ah, it’s just another Middle East war with the Sunni/Shia world trying to destroy Israel. It’ll pass.’ They could not be more wrong. What’s unfolding right now is nothing less than a global war for the future of the free world — and Israel is at the center of it all.

Attacks on Christians in Israel Are Rising, but a Closer Look Shows a Different Story

A report was recently released documenting harassment and violence directed at Christian communities in Israel and East Jerusalem throughout 2024. Tragically, the survey reported 111 documented cases of harassment.

Introduction to the Bible – Bible Summary

Summary of the Book of Joshua
Author:
The Book of Joshua does not explicitly name its author. More than likely Joshua the son of Nun, the successor of Moses as leader over Israel, penned much of this book.
The latter part of the book was written by at least one other person after the death of
Joshua. It is also possible that several sections were edited / compiled following Joshua’s death. Full article: Who wrote the book of Joshua? Who was the author of Joshua?
Date of Writing: The Book of Joshua was likely written between 1400 and 1370 B.C.
Purpose of Writing: The Book of Joshua provides an overview of the military
campaigns to conquer the land area that God had promised. Following the exodus from Egypt and the subsequent forty years of the wilderness wanderings, the newly-formed nation is now poised to enter the Promised Land, conquer the inhabitants, and occupy the territory. The overview that we have here gives abbreviated and selective details of many of the battles and the manner in which the land was not only conquered, but how it was divided into tribal areas.
Key Verses:
Joshua 1:6-9, “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 24:14-15, “Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away
the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the
LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
Brief Summary: The Book of Joshua continues the story of the Israelites after the
exodus from Egypt. The book chronicles the approximately 20 years of Joshua’s
leadership of the people after Moses anointed him at the end of Deuteronomy. The
twenty-four chapter divisions of the Book of Joshua can be summarized as follows:
Chapters 1-12: Entering and conquering the Promised Land.
Chapters 13-22: Instructions for distributing the portions of the Promised Land.
Chapters 23-24: Joshua’s farewell address
Foreshadowings: The story of Rahab the harlot and her great faith in the God of the
Israelites gives her a place with those honored for their faith in Hebrews 11:31. Hers is a story of God’s grace to sinners and salvation by faith alone. Most importantly, by God’s grace she was in the Messianic line (Matthew 1:5).
One of the ceremonial rituals of Joshua 5 finds its perfect fulfillment in the New
Testament. Verses 1-9 describe God’s commandment that those who were born in the
wilderness were to be circumcised when they came into the Promised Land. By so doing,
God “rolled away the reproach of Egypt” from them, meaning that He cleansed them
from the sins of their former life. Colossians 2:10-12 describes believers as having been circumcised in their hearts by Christ Himself, by whom we have put off the sinful nature of our former lives without Christ.
God established cities of refuge so that those who accidentally killed someone could live there without fear of retribution. Christ is our refuge to whom we “have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us” (Hebrews 6:18).
The Book of Joshua has an overriding theological theme of rest. The Israelites, after
wandering in the wilderness for 40 years, finally entered the rest God had prepared for
them in the land of Canaan. The writer of Hebrews uses this incident as a warning to us not to let unbelief keep us from entering into God’s rest in Christ (Hebrews 3:7-12).
Practical Application: One of the key verses of the Book of Joshua is 1:8 “Do not let
this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you
may be careful to do everything written in it.” The Old Testament is replete with stories
of how the people “forgot” God and His Word and suffered terrible consequences. For
the Christian, the Word of God is our lifeblood. If we neglect it, our lives will suffer
accordingly. But if we take to heart the principle of verse 1:8, we will be complete and
able to be of use in God’s kingdom (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and we will find that God’s
promises in Joshua 1:8-9 will be ours as well.
Joshua is a prime example of the benefits of a worthy mentor. For years he remained
close to Moses. He watched Moses as he followed God in an almost flawless manner. He learned to pray in a personal way from Moses. He learned how to obey through the
example of Moses. Joshua apparently also learned from the negative example that cost Moses the joy of actually entering the Promised Land. If you are alive, you are a mentor.
Someone, somewhere, is watching you. Some younger person or someone that you are influencing is seeing how you live and how you react. Someone is learning from you.
Someone will follow your example. Mentoring is far more than the words that are
spoken by the mentor. His or her entire life is on display

Inleiding tot die Bybel – Bybel Samevattings

Opsomming van die boek Josua
Skrywer
Meer as
As jy lewe, is jy ‘n mentor. Iemand, iewers, hou jou dop.
reageer. Iemand leer by jou. Iemand sal jou voorbeeld volg.
