The phrase “fishers of men” was spoken by Jesus when He was calling two of His disciples, Simon Peter and Andrew, to follow Him. “As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.’ At once they left their nets and followed him” (Mark 1:16–18; see also Matthew 4:19).

The idea behind fishing is to know the fish you are looking for and attract it so you can make the catch. To catch a fish we must know what equipment to use, the habitat and depth of the water we are fishing in, as well as the kind of bait the fish will go after. After we understand everything we need for real fishing, then how do we relate that to being fishers of men?

God asks us to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18–20). Just as we need equipment to be fishermen, we need equipment to be fishers of men. Putting on the armor of God is one way to be ready at all times with everything we need (Ephesians 6:10–18). Especially important are the shield of faith with which we ward off the opposition from demonic forces who don’t want to see men saved by the gospel of Christ (v. 16) and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (v. 17). Without these two pieces of spiritual equipment, we will find fishing for men’s souls impossible.

Not only must we have the armor of God as our equipment, but we must also know the fish we are trying to catch. Knowing the lost condition of the people around us will help us to understand that, no matter how good we are at fishing, we will never “catch” the fish on our own. No reasoned argument will convert the soul of a darkened mind, because “the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4). But God can and frequently does penetrate the darkness with the glorious gospel, and He uses us to do it. He knows which “fish” are His; therefore, we are to seek His wisdom and His guidance on all our fishing expeditions. Prayer is essential.

Lastly we must offer the only effective net—the gospel of Jesus Christ. To those who are perishing, the message of the cross is foolishness, but to us, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18). The gospel message has the power to change lives, shine light into darkness, and deliver evil men from hell. There is power in no other message and no other “net” can catch the fish of God. “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). This was Jesus’ message to Peter and Andrew—follow Me, learn of Me, know and understand My mission and My message. Only then will you be able to be fishers of men.

Gebed is noodsaaklik.

Lukas 6:22

Gebed

Here.

Bible Teaching of the Day

First John 3:8 gives us the overarching reason for Jesus’ coming into the world: “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil” (ESV). Satan was busily engaged in his work in this world, and when the Son of God appeared he ramped up his activity (see Matthew 4:1–11; Luke 4:41). The good news is that Jesus’ power and presence destroys the devil’s work.

Keeping the “works of the devil” statement in context, we must read what leads up to it: “Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work” (1 John 3:7–8). The apostle John is speaking of personal holiness. The child of God lives in righteousness. Those who live in unrepentant, continued sin show themselves to be children of the devil because they reflect the devil’s nature. The one who has Christ dwelling within him does not continue to sin because Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. Those satanic works no longer have an expression within the believer’s heart. Christ came to destroy the works of the devil, and that guarantees our sanctification.

What exactly are the works of the devil? Several passages in the Bible answer this question, but Jesus gives a clear and concise answer in John 8.44. In confronting the hypocritical religious leaders in Israel, Jesus says, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” According to Jesus, some of the works of the devil are murder and lying. These two sins summarize the character of the devil and his goals. He works to see people destroyed and go to hell (that’s murder), and he desires to deceive them into that destruction (that’s lying).

The works of the devil show up in the Garden of Eden, where Satan deceived Eve and led her into disobedience (Genesis 3:1–6). As a result, Adam also sinned and threw the whole of humanity into the bondage of sin (Romans 5:12). Satan lied to Eve with the goal of murdering her (that is, separating her from God); he wanted humanity to die.

Before we were saved, we were under the full effects of the works of the devil. In fact, we “were dead in [our] transgressions and sins, in which [we] used to live when [we] followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient” (Ephesians 2:1–2). The works of the devil in our lives caused us to be “gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts” (verse 3). It is only through the love, mercy, and grace of God that we were rescued from the works of the devil (verses 4–5).

The works of the devil affect humanity morally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually. Morally, the devil entices people to sin, making evil seem appealing so that people choose evil over obedience to God (James 1:14). Physically, the devil can inflict disease, and he seeks to use physical trials to cause people to curse God (Job 2:4–5; Luke 13:11). Intellectually, the devil seduces people into error, teaching false doctrines (1 Timothy 4:1). He casts doubt and keeps unbelievers intellectually blinded to spiritual truth and the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:3–4). He arranges distractions and promotes confusion that cause people to act hastily, irrationally, and foolishly. Spiritually, he takes every opportunity to snatch away the Word of God sown in a person’s heart (Matthew 13:19).

The devil desires to attack believers, too (Luke 22:31–32). He will try to cause believers to not follow Christ so as to keep them from their primary purpose of bringing glory to God and furthering His purposes and plans. If Satan can cause our love for Christ to cool (Revelation 2:4) or cause us to stop loving each other (John 13:34–35), then we lose our testimony before the world and displease our heavenly Father. If Satan can entice us into addictions such as entertainment, sex, or porn, then he entraps us in bondage to sin so that we cannot commune with God.

In summary, the works of the devil are to counter the work of God. As a murderer, Satan works against God, who is Life. As a liar, Satan works against God, who is Truth. In the lives of unbelievers, the work of the devil is to keep them from coming to saving faith in Christ, with the result that they experience the second death (Revelation 20:14 –15). In the lives of believers, the work of the devil is to tempt them to sin and thus blunt their effectiveness for Christ in this world.

Fortunately for us, Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. As the time of His arrest and crucifixion drew near, Jesus said, “Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out” (John 12:31). On the cross Jesus accomplished many amazing things. He took the penalty for our sins and gave us His righteousness. Therefore, the devil has no power over the eternal destiny of believers in Christ. It isn’t that the devil can’t tempt a Christian to sin—and succeed sometimes—it’s that Jesus’ death bore all the wrath of God against that sin, and God doesn’t hold the sin against the Christian (Romans 8:1).

Not only did Jesus’ death destroy the works of the devil in relation to our eternal destiny, but it provided for our personal sanctification. Believers have the gift of the Holy Spirit who indwells them and leads them into Christlikeness. The Spirit seals those who believe in Christ, and the devil cannot remove them from His promises (Ephesians 4:30).

In His goodness, the Lord has also given us spiritual weaponry to do battle with the devil (Ephesians 6:10–18). The devil might bring on us a lot of things, but, if we keep ourselves suited up in God’s armor, the battle will be much easier. We must understand our enemy and recognize when he is approaching: “We are not unaware of his schemes” (2 Corinthians 2:11). More importantly, we must know where our strength and defense lie and trust “the perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:2), the only one who can truly destroy the works of the devil.

Today’s Devotional

It is hard to imagine a being like Lucifer (Satan) believing he could even do battle with God, much less defeat Him. Even the most depraved mind should be able to see that a creature cannot possibly contend with the Creator. Yet Satan attempted to dethrone God and strives to this day to defy God’s authority, thwart His plans, and harass His people.

Perhaps part of the explanation is that pride has blinded Satan to reality. Two Old Testament passages (Isaiah 14:12-15 and Ezekiel 28:11-19) discuss Satan’s original position and the reasons for his loss of that position. They tell of an exalted angelic being, one of God’s creatures, who became proud. He determined to take the throne of God for himself. But God removed him from his position.

Satan’s influence in worldly affairs is clearly revealed (John 12:31). Satan is extremely intelligent. Through his intelligence he deceived Adam and Eve and took over their rule of the world for himself (Genesis 1:26; 3:1-7; 2 Corinthians 11:3). His cleverness enables him to carry out his deceptive work almost at will, although his power is subject to God’s restrictions (Job 1:12; Luke 4:6; 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8). He does have certain victories—although within the boundaries God has set for him—and perhaps these victories allow him to continue the illusion that he can have victory over God Himself.

The reins of God on Satan’s activities are illustrated by Satan’s request to God for permission to afflict Job (Job 1:7-12). Satan is permitted to afflict God’s people (Luke 13:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:18; Hebrews 2:14), but he is never permitted to win an ultimate victory over them (John 14:30-31; 16:33). A part of Satan’s continuing ambition to replace God is his passionate yearning to have others worship him (Matthew 4:8-9; Revelation 13:4, 12). Satan is “the wicked one” (Matthew 13:19, 38), while God is “the Holy One” (Isaiah 1:4).

Satan’s nature is malicious. His efforts in opposing God, His people, and His truth are tireless (Job 1:7; 2:2; Matthew 13:28). He is always opposed to man’s best interests (1 Chronicles 21:1; Zechariah 3:1-2). Through his role in introducing sin into the human family (Genesis 3), Satan has gained the power of death—a power which Christ has broken through His crucifixion and resurrection (Hebrews 2:14-15). Satan tempted Christ directly, trying to lead Him into compromise by promising Him worldly authority and power (Luke 4:5-8).

Despite Satan’s self-delusion that he can defeat God, Satan is destined to fail. His final defeat is predicted in John 12:31, Revelation 12:9, and 20:10. The death of Christ on the cross is the basis for Satan’s final defeat (Hebrews 2:14-15; 1 Peter 3:18, 22). That event was the grand climax to a sinless life during which Jesus triumphed over the enemy repeatedly (Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13). Satan probably rejoiced in the death of Christ, believing it to be a victory for him, but like all his victories, that one, too, was short-lived. When Jesus rose from the grave, Satan was once again defeated. The final victory will come when Jesus returns and Satan is cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:1-15).

The death and resurrection of Christ provide the believer strength for victory over sin. We have assurance that “the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet” (Romans 16:20). But such personal victory depends on God’s grace and power in our lives and our will to offer resistance to Satan’s temptations (Ephesians 4:25-27; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8-9). To help Christians win this battle against Satan, God has provided the power of Christ’s blood (Revelation 12:11), the continuing prayer of Christ in heaven for believers (Hebrews 7:25), the leading of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16), and various weapons for spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:10–18).

Satan is uiters intelligent.

Satan se natuur is kwaadwillig.

VERANDER DIE WÊRELD – BEGIN BY JOUSELF.

Changing The World:

It’s a full-time job trying to get people to change. What a perfect world it would be – if only other people would do what we want them to do! I saw a plaque one day that might hold the key to the secret of change, as it says. CHANGE THE WORLD – START WITH YOURSELF. Not what most of us want to hear! Jesus told a parable about the problem of not seeing our own faults. He said, “How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log in your own eye? First take the plank out of your own eye (Luke 6:42). Being able to easily see other people’s faults without ever noticing your own is not only an indication of hypocrisy. It can be a wake-up call that the problem in a struggling relationship may be me. Maybe it’s my attitude that needs to change. Or I’m the one who needs to apologize. Maybe I’m the one who needs a humble spirit. It’s a lesson that some of us need to learn over and over again. We can’t change others, but with God’s help, we can change our own behavior. And when we change our attitude, it may seem as if others have changed too.

Changing can be a wonderful prospect,

Although it often comes with resistance.

The transformation begins within us

And will take a lot of perseverance.

When God bring about change in us. Can He change others through us?

TruLight TV – Nature Documentary – THE MYSTERIOUS CEPHALOPODS

In today’s video devotional, we explore what it means to be a “worker in the harvest” and how everywhere we go we have the opportunity to be a light for Christ. and later a Nature Documentary in title (Primeval squids – In the hunting grounds of the mysterious Cephalopods) – Octopuses and squids are anything but cuddly pets. They have neither legs nor fins. Instead, they have snakelike arms, covered in suction caps – eight or ten, dangerous tentacles, which grow out of their heads. To add to their bizarre appearance, they are soft flabby, void of vertebrae or bones. When in danger, they emit foul-smelling ink. The point of this Nature Documentary is based on the Bible Verse in Psalm 91;1 – The Heavens Declare the Glory of God; The Skies Proclaim the Work of His Hands. Enjoy today’s show and thanks for watching.

Bible Prophecy in the News

Islam Taking over Europe = Europe’s Reckoning: Borders, Budgets, And The Failure To Integrate

The majority of European immigrants now come from majority-Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Yet many arrivals seem angrier at their newfound liberal hosts than at the dictatorships they fled back home.

Almost weekly in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Germany, a sensational assault committed by an illegal migrant–often enjoying some sort of state support or with prior arrests for the same crime–surfaces.

Until recently, European politicians and the media sought to either ignore such news or accuse those who clamored for tighter borders, more police protection, and stiffer penalties of being “racists” or “xenophobes.”

Until recently, that is.

Mass protests are now common in Britain against the Labour Party’s open borders policies and generous welfare entitlements for immigrants who arrive illegally and without authentic “political refugee” status.
Greek officials, also swamped by illegal immigration, now cite President Donald Trump’s secure border policies as new models for their own.

The majority of European immigrants now come from majority-Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Yet many arrivals seem angrier at their newfound liberal hosts than at the dictatorships they fled back home.

Europe’s immigration policies will not work in a multi-ethnic democracy.

Too many immigrants are arriving too quickly, without sufficient diversity, language fluency, skills, or familiarity with the customs and culture of their host nations. They often enter with separatist religious and cultural values antithetical to the very place they seek refuge.

Yet, there is no European plan of civic education to assimilate immigrants and teach them the rules, laws, and culture of their hosts.

It is then no surprise that what follows is ghettoization, resentment, and loud attacks on the very nation in which they seek sanctuary, denouncing it as decadent and godless.

In the past, Europe’s anemic military budgets, reliance on borrowed money, socialism, and a once-strong economy papered over these existential challenges of illegal immigration.

Or, as left-wing former German chancellor Angela Merkel once inanely said of massive illegal influxes into Europe, “Wir schaffen das” (“We can do this”).

But, of course, Merkel could not.

She offered zero plans on how to integrate, assimilate, and acculturate millions of Europe’s illegal aliens. Now, some 15% of Germany’s population are foreign nationals.

Why Silicon Valley Will Talk About The Antichrist-But the Church Won’t

The irony is almost unbearable. A gay billionaire, steeped in power politics and tech culture, is willing to wrestle with the Antichrist. Meanwhile, many churches either avoid prophecy altogether or sneer at those who take it seriously.

When a man like Peter Thiel announces a four-part lecture series on the Antichrist, it’s not just another tech mogul musing about the future–it’s a cultural moment. Thiel, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal and Palantir, investor in Facebook, and long-time power player in conservative politics, is no stranger to controversy.

He’s been at Trump’s side as a trusted adviser, helping shape a recent executive order that critics warn opens the door to mass surveillance. He’s a contrarian’s contrarian: libertarian and conservative, gay and yet drawn to Christianity, immersed in Silicon Valley but increasingly fascinated by scripture.

Now, beginning September 15 at San Francisco’s Commonwealth Club, Thiel will deliver four off-the-record lectures on the Antichrist–closed-door, no transcripts, no recordings. Organized by the Acts 17 Collective, the talks promise to explore the “theological and technological dimensions” of this apocalyptic figure, drawing on everyone from René Girard to Carl Schmitt.

A major lecture series in Silicon Valley touching on prophecy, AI, and even the concept of an Antichrist figure sold out almost instantly. Tech leaders and cultural influencers are lining up to hear speculation about humanity’s end, yet the pews remain quiet.

And here’s the question every Christian should be asking: Why is Peter Thiel talking about the Antichrist when so many pastors won’t?

The MAIN REASON the Church does not Speak of the Anti-Christ is Because of Fear for the ” Great Tribulation “ According to Pastor Dirk from TruLight Ministries .

Satan gave the Fearful Christians the Doctrine of Demons called the Pre and Mid Tribulation Rapture Story

Due to the Fear 90 % plus Christians have around the Great Tribulation , a Story was made up the Bible does not support . Fear is nothing but Un-Believe . The Majority of Christians does not Have Faith in their Great God that He will Take care and Protect Them during the ” GREAT TRIBULATION

Gog and Magog Update

Trump – War in Gaza is ‘hurting Israel,’ must end soon

President Donald Trump warned that Israel is losing support among American politicians and the general public due to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, urging Jerusalem to bring the conflict to a close before further losses mount in the court of public opinion.

Trump emphasized that even if Israel succeeds in dismantling Hamas militarily, it risks suffering irreparable damage diplomatically and publicly.

“They’re gonna have to get that war over with… it is hurting Israel. There’s no question about it,” Trump said in an interview with the Daily Caller.

He reiterated that Israel “may be winning the war, but they’re not winning the world of public relations… and it is hurting them.”

Trump also argued that Israel’s once-formidable influence in Washington has taken a major hit since the war began.

Before the conflict, “Israel had the strongest lobby in Congress,” Trump said. “Today, it doesn’t have that strong a lobby… it’s been hurt, especially in Congress.”

The president noted that in past eras, American politicians rarely spoke out against Israel.

But in today’s progressive climate, Trump said, an increasing number of left-wing politicians feel comfortable blasting the Jewish State — a phenomenon he said proves that Israel is losing power and influence in Washington.

Trump further warned that much of the public has already forgotten about the atrocities of the Hamas-led October 7th massacres, despite what he described as a “truly horrible day.”

While Trump focused mostly on left-wing criticism of Israel, Republican voices criticizing Jerusalem’s prosecution of the war have grown stronger in recent weeks.

Close Trump ally Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA) recently took to X to write an anti-Israel screed, blasting the Jewish State for alleged war crimes in the Strip.

“I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to pay for genocide in a foreign country against a foreign people for a foreign war that I had nothing to do with. And I will not be silent about it,” she wrote.
