Compromise or NO Compromise :

To compromise is to make concessions or accommodations for someone who does not agree with a certain set of standards or rules. There are times when compromise is good and right—compromise is a basic skill needed in marriage, for example, and in other situations in which keeping the peace is more desirable than getting one’s own way. Daniel and his three friends essentially worked out a compromise with the Babylonian official concerning their diet (Daniel 1:8–14).

In certain other matters, compromise is not good. The Bible makes it clear that God does not condone compromising His commands: “Be careful to do what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left” (Deuteronomy 5:32). Joyful are those who “do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths” (Psalm 119:3, NLT). God is holy, and His ways are right. God is good, and His ways are lifegiving. Concerning matters that God has clearly addressed, we do not negotiate, bargain, or compromise.

King Jehoshaphat foolishly entered a compromising situation with the wicked King Ahab, and it almost cost him his life (2 Chronicles 18). Jesus rebuked the church of Thyatira for their theological and moral compromise: “I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols” (Revelation 2:20). There are certain lines that should not be crossed, and there are times when compromise becomes evil.

As we go through this world, we will hear many calls to compromise. The “fleeting pleasures of sin” (Hebrews 11:25), “hollow and deceptive philosophy” (Colossians 2:8), and “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life” (1 John 2:16) all tempt us to compromise in areas we should not. Usually, the temptation to compromise is heightened by some type of fear, such as the fear of being rejected or criticized.

What makes compromise so dangerous is the subtle way it approaches us. Compromise, by definition, doesn’t involve a wholesale capitulation to worldly ways or ideals; rather, it accommodates them. Most of us would recoil at the thought of tossing Jesus aside and embracing an idol, but compromise never asks us to do that. Compromise says that we can have the idol and keep Jesus, too. There’s room on the shelf for one more object of worship, right? And what’s the harm, since we still have Jesus?

It is vital to know when compromise is appropriate and when it is not. In general, we could say that we can compromise on preferences but not on principles. Based on that rule of thumb, here are some matters in which compromise might be helpful:

  • the color of the church carpet
  • the type of vehicle your family should drive
  • where to host the corporate luncheon
  • when to schedule a trip to the library

But there should be no compromise over values and the standards that stem from those values. Here are some examples of things about which we should not compromise:

  • the essentials of the Christian faith, including the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:3–6) and the faithful preaching of the Word (2 Timothy 4:2)
  • the lordship and authority of Christ (Luke 16:13)
  • your personal convictions (Romans 14:5)
  • moral issues, as defined in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18)

We must be careful to live out our biblical beliefs. It is pointless to know and speak up for truth if we do not also act on that truth in the way we live our lives (John 15:1–11; James 2:14–17, 26). Not compromising includes not being hypocritical. When our intention is to actively pursue a deeper relationship with God and obey Him in all things, we are less likely to compromise. We will more readily recognize the things that seek to draw us away from God. We will more readily recognize His voice and trust Him (see John 10:4).

Resisting compromise is not up to our own strength or efforts. Rather, God has equipped us (2 Peter 1:3), and He is with us. Philippians 2:12–13 encourages, “Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” God’s Word and His presence nourish our souls (Psalm 1:1–3; 119:9–16; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21). Other believers encourage us and walk alongside us, and we do the same for them (Hebrews 10:24–25; Galatians 6:1–5). When we are focused on God and living in active relationship with Him and His people, we come to understand the magnitude of His holiness, the crushing nature of our sin, and the depth of His grace. We see His goodness and that true life is in Him (Psalm 34:8; John 10:10). We long to follow Him in all our ways and to share the good news of salvation with others. The better we know God, the better we can resist the temptation to compromise what’s important.

Kompromie of GEEN Kompromie

  • jou persoonlike oortuigings (Romeine 14:5)

Bible Teaching of the Day

Taking control of our thoughts is essential. Proverbs 4:23 states, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” The “heart” includes the mind and all that proceeds from it. Someone said that every sin we commit, we commit twice, once in our thoughts and again when we act upon those thoughts. It is easier to rid our lives of sin if we attack it at this fundamental thought level rather than waiting for it to become rooted in our lives by our actions and then try to pull it out.

There is also a difference between being tempted (a thought entering into the mind) and sinning (dwelling upon an evil thought and wallowing in it). It is important to understand that when a thought enters our mind, we examine it based upon God’s Word and determine if we should continue down that path or reject the thought and replace it with another thought. If we have already allowed a habit to form in our thought lives, it becomes more difficult to change the path of our thoughts, even as it is hard to get a car out of a deep rut and onto a new track. Here are some biblical suggestions for taking control of our thoughts and getting rid of wrong thoughts:

  1. Be in God’s Word so that when a sinful thought enters our mind (a temptation), we will be able to recognize it for what it is and know what course to take. Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4) responded to each of Satan’s temptations with Scripture that applied to the direction He knew His mind should take instead of beginning down the path of the sinful thought. When tempted to meet His physical need (turn stone into bread), He recited the passage about the importance of relying upon God. When tempted to serve Satan in order to obtain the glory of the world, He brought up the passage that says we are to serve and worship God alone and speak of the glory that belongs to Him and those who are His. When tempted to test God (to see if God was really there and would keep His promises), Jesus responded with passages that stress the importance of believing God without having to see Him demonstrate His presence.

Quoting Scripture in a time of temptation is not a talisman, but rather serves the purpose of getting our minds onto a biblical track, but we need to know the Word of God AHEAD of time in order to accomplish this. Thus, a daily habit of being in the Word in a meaningful way is essential. If we are aware of a certain area of constant temptation (worry, lust, anger, etc.), we need to study and memorize key passages that deal with those issues. Looking for both what we are to avoid (negative) and how we are to properly respond (positive) to tempting thoughts and situations—before they are upon us—will go a long way to giving us victory over them.

  1. Live in dependence upon the Holy Spirit, chiefly through seeking His strength through prayer (Matthew 26:41). If we rely upon our own strength, we will fail (Proverbs 28:26;Jeremiah 17:9; Matthew 26:33).
  2. We are not to feed our minds with that which will promote sinful thoughts. This is the idea of Proverbs 4:23. We are to guard our hearts—what we allow into them and what we allow them to dwell on. Job 31:1 states, “I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman” (NKJV). Romans 13:14 states, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Thus, we are to avoid periodicals, videos, websites, conversations, and situations that will set us up for a fall. We should also avoid spending time with those who would encourage us down these wrong paths.
  3. We are to pursue hard after God, replacing sinful thoughts with godly pursuits and mindsets. This is the principle of replacement. When tempted to hate someone, we replace those hateful thoughts with godly actions: we do good to them, speak well of them, and pray for them (Matthew 5:44). Instead of stealing, we should work hard to earn money so we can look for opportunities to give to others in need (Ephesians 4:28). When tempted to lust after a woman, we turn our gaze, praise God for the way He has made us—male and female—and pray for the woman (for example: “Lord, help this young woman to come to know you if she does not, and to know the joy of walking with you”), then think of her as a sister (1 Timothy 5:2). The Bible often speaks of “putting off” wrong actions and thoughts but then “putting on” godly actions and thoughts (Ephesians 4:22-32). Merely seeking to put off sinful thoughts without replacing those thoughts with godly ones leaves an empty field for Satan to come along and sow his weeds (Matthew 12:43-45).
  4. We can use fellowship with other Christians the way God intended. Hebrews 10:24-25 states, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Fellow Christians who will encourage us in the changes we desire (best if of the same gender), who will pray for and with us, who will ask us in love how we are doing, and who will hold us accountable in avoiding the old ways, are valuable friends indeed.
  5. Last and most important, these methods will be of no value unless we have placed our faith in Christ as Savior from our sin. This is where we absolutely must start! Without this, there can be no victory over sinful thoughts and temptations, and God’s promises for His children are not for us, nor is the Holy Spirit’s power available to us!
  6. God will bless those who seek to honor Him with what matters most to Him: who we are inside and not just what we appear to be to others. May God make Jesus’ description of Nathanael true also of us—a man [or woman] in whom there is no guile (John 1:47).

Today’s Devotional

Believers in Christ will never thirst

John 4 records a divine appointment between Jesus and a Samaritan woman. Weary from traveling, Jesus rests by a well when a woman from the nearby village arrives to draw water. Perceiving her desiccated spiritual condition and need for salvation, Jesus initiates a dialogue. In the course of the conversation, He says, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:13–14). At first, the woman thinks Jesus is offering natural water to quench her literal thirst. But He has something entirely different and otherworldly in mind.

Inside every human heart exists a God-induced craving—a spiritual thirst—that only He can satisfy (Ecclesiastes 3:11; Psalm 42:2; 63:1). He made us that way so we would seek to know Him. Physical thirst is used throughout the Bible to depict this profound human privation. Isaiah speaks of the Lord supplying flowing water to satiate this spiritual thirst: “The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I will answer them. I am the Lord, the God of Israel. I will not abandon them. I will open rivers on the barren heights, and springs in the middle of the plains. I will turn the desert into a pool and dry land into springs” (Isaiah 41:17–18, CSB; see also Isaiah 12:2–3; 35:6–7; 49:10; 58:11).

In the New Testament, Jesus Christ is revealed to be the fountain of living water (John 4:4–26; 7:37–39; cf. Jeremiah 2:13; 17:13; Zechariah 14:8–9). Early in His ministry, Jesus taught, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6, ESV). Then in the book of Revelation, we are given a glimpse of redeemed believers surrounding God’s throne in heaven. They “no longer thirst” because the Lamb of God guides “them to springs of the waters of life” (Revelation 7:13–17, CSB).

Jesus Christ is the only satisfactory source to quench our dry and thirsty souls (1 Corinthians 10:3–4). Faith is the key to partaking of the fountain of the water of life. Jesus told His disciples, “Whoever believes in me shall never thirst” (John 6:35, ESV). He explained in detail, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, and drink. The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him” (John 7:38). This soul-quenching fountain of living water flows from Jesus Christ to us through the indwelling Holy Spirit (John 7:39).

Along with food, air, and light, water is one of the most essential elements to sustain physical life. On a spiritual level, Jesus is all of these—He is the “bread of life” (John 6:48), the “breath of life” (Genesis 2:7; John 3:8; 20:22), the “light of all mankind” (John 1:4), and the supplier of “living water” (John 4:10).

Jesus offers unlimited refills. Anyone who believes in Christ, receives His salvation, and abides in Him will never thirst again because that person drinks from an inexhaustible supply of pure and “living water” (John 4:10). The prophet predicted, “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation” (Isaiah 12:3). The living water Jesus spoke of represents eternal life, and Jesus Christ is its sole supplier (John 14:6; 17:3; 1 John 1:1–2; 5:20; 1 Corinthians 15:20–22). Later, Jesus told Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die” (John 11:25–26, NLT).

John’s account of Jesus and the Samaritan woman emphasizes that Jesus “had to go through Samaria” (John 4:4). Jesus could have taken another route on His journey back to Galilee. Instead, He went through Samaria because of a divine appointment with a desperately thirsty woman who needed salvation. As a result of her encounter with Jesus, many Samaritans will never thirst again because they believed in Jesus, drank from His well of living water, and received the gift of eternal life (John 4:39–43).

At Scripture’s close, Christ’s invitation continues to ring out: “Both the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ Let anyone who hears, say, ‘Come!’ Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17, CSB; see also Revelation 21:6). Through Christ’s redeeming sacrifice on the cross and subsequent outpouring of the Holy Spirit, believers can experience intimate and eternal fellowship with God. Only in a restored relationship with the Father is the soul’s craving satiated, allowing believers to never thirst again.

Vandag se Bemoediging

Gelowiges in Christus sal nooit dors kry nie

Jesus bied onbeperkte hervullings.

In Die Steek Gelaat:

Abandoned and forgotten,

I think all of us can say that at some point in our lives or perhaps still feel like we are being abandoned, and forgotten by everyone. Now in the story of Joseph, he felt abandoned, when he ended up in prison for a crime he did not commit ( Gen 39 ). Abandoned and forgotten by everyone, he must have felt stranded, yet “the Lord was with him, and he made Joseph know his steadfast love” (Gen 39:21). Eventually he was promoted and given oversight of the other prison. Everything Joseph did, the Lord “made to prosper” (v. 23). But despite God’s presence and blessing, he still had to remain in prison for many years.
Perhaps you too are stuck somewhere in your own inner prison cell. But no matter how long you have been there, God’s goodness and mercy can reach you there. Because He is Almighty God (Ex 6:3) and omnipresent (Jer 23:23,24), He can protect you and provide for you, even when it seems as if no one can help you.

God is omnipresent – even when it feels like He is not there!

INTRODUCTION TO THE GOSPEL ARTISTS

Meet :  The Talley Trio or The Talleys

The Talleys were a southern gospel trio composed of Roger and Debra Talley, and their daughter Lauren Talley as the lead and soprano singer. Performing over 20 years, they have made appearances all over the world. At the end of 2020 Roger and Debra retired as singers and Lauren began singing full time as a soloist at the start of 2021.

In the 1970s, Roger and Kirk got their start with the Hoppers. Debra sang with the Songmasters Quartet. Roger and Debra married in 1978. Debra joined Roger and as part of the Hoppers and Kirk went to the Cathedral Quartet. In 1984, Kirk wanted to start a new group with Roger and Debra prompting them to form The Talleys. In 1993, the group disbanded and Kirk started a solo career. But by the mid 1990s, Lauren’s interest and talent in singing could not be ignored, prompting her mother and father to join with her in the formation of the Talley Trio in 1996. The group has received numerous accolades from the GMA Dove Awards, Singing News Fan Awards, the Southern Gospel Music Guild Harmony Honors, the BMI Awards and SGN Music Awards,

On June 25, 2011, the Talley Trio changed its name back to the Talleys.

On November 20, 2019, The Talleys announced that 2020 would be their final year of touring.

Bible Prophecy in the News

World Leaders want a Two State Solution in Israel = Palestinians Need their own Country !!

Several News articles in the News , Brings this Portion of the 7 Year Peace Agreement as Prophecy in the News

ARTICLES IN THE NEWS

Starmer’s ultimatum to Israel: Stop the war or UK will recognize a Palestinian state

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced Tuesday that he would join France in recognizing a Palestinian state at the U.N. Security Council in September if Israel does not end the war in Gaza.

If the U.K. makes this move, it would be the second G7 country after France to formally recognize a Palestinian state.

Although such recognition is only symbolic and has little real-world application, the goal behind the move would be to further alienate Israel diplomatically.

Around 250 MPs, including those from Starmer’s Labour Party, signed a letter urging the prime minister to push for a two-state solution amid international media allegations of starvation in Gaza.

In an address to the British public, Starmer said, “I’ve always said that we will recognize a Palestinian state as a contribution to a proper peace process at the moment of maximum impact for the two-state solution. With that solution now under threat, this is the moment to act.”

At UN ‘two-state solution’ event, France demands Israel pay $2 billion to Palestinians.

The French minister threatened Israel with punitive measures via the European Commission, which is discussing possible actions this week.

Monday’s United Nations conference on the subject of a two-state solution offers “a rare and indispensable opportunity” that “can and must serve as a decisive turning point,” António Guterres, the U.N. secretary-general, said at the opening of the two-day event.

Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, the Saudi foreign minister whose county was one of the event co-hosts, told attendees that the kingdom’s view has “always been” that Fatah, the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization “are the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.”

“That continues to be the case,” the Saudi diplomat said.

France, which has said that it will recognize a Palestinian state during the U.N. General Assembly in September, also co-hosted the conference.

HUCKABEE: ‘Giving the Palestinians a State is Like Handing the Nazis a Victory’

U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee slammed France’s push to recognize a Palestinian state, accusing President Macron of doing nothing to help Gazans escape the war zone and warning that such recognition would hand Hamas a major victory while emboldening other terror groups.

PASTOR DIRK SAYS

a Two State Solution is a Biblical and a Prophecy Confirmed by Jesus .

Mainly in the Regions of Judea and Samaria – Israel.

Just After the Gog and Magog disaster , The Jewish Messiah aka The AntiChrist will be Introduced to the World . The Prince of Israel . He will arrange Peace with 99 % of all Countries , and a 7 Year Peace agreement will be signed

2 Major Parts of this Agreement will be

  1. Judea and Samaria will be given to Palestine as a Country
  2. The Jews will receive approval to Build their 3rd Jewish Temple on Temple Mount Jerusalem Next too the Dome of the Rock

The agreement will included a annex . That Jews that has lived in Judea and Samaria may stay in the Country as long as the Palestinians can Use the Dome of the Rock as Holy Place of Prayer

But 42 Months after the Unveiling of the 3rd Jewish Temple . The Jewish Messiah aka The Antichrist will cancel this 7 Year Peace Agreement . and the Jews living in Palestine ( Judea and Samaria) must flee within Minutes. This is what Jesus Prophesied in Matt 24 and Luke 21

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Signs of the Times

Sharia Rising: Islam’s Quiet Takeover Of London And New York – The Light Green (Pale) Horse is Running

The Islamization of our major cities is happening-aggressively, publicly, and without apology. From taxpayer-funded Sharia positions in the UK to chants of “Globalize the Intifada” on the streets of New York, the message is clear: many Muslims are not merely seeking to assimilate-they’re seeking to dominate.

When Worship Becomes Illegal – City Tries To Shut Down Worship Service

Worshipers gathering to sing, pray, and encounter God. But in Montreal, this peaceful gathering turned into a political battleground. City officials targeted a church, fined it $2,500, and sent inspectors mid-service–not because of public safety concerns, but because they didn’t like who was leading worship.

Gog and Magog Update

Israel repeats threat to ‘open gates of hell’ on Hamas

Defense Minister Israel Katz promised severe consequences for Hamas should it continue holding kidnapped Israelis as hostages, amid reports that ceasefire talks between Jerusalem and the terror group are faltering.

“If Hamas does not release the hostages, the Gates of Hell will open on Gaza,” Katz said at a ceremony in the central Israeli city of Holon on Sunday evening.

“Beyond what we are already doing with great force, we will do much more. We will protect the hostages and strike everything connected to Hamas until they are released. We will do whatever it takes,” he added.

Katz’s threat is not the first time Israeli leaders have warned of unleashing “hell” on the Gaza-based terror group.

During a March ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, Katz made a near-identical threat, warning the terror group to respect the terms of the truce.

“Make no mistake, Hamas — this is just the beginning. If Hamas does not release the hostages soon, the gates of Gaza will close, and the gates of hell will open,” Katz said at the time.
