Truly this was the Son of God!
Matthew 27 records many events surrounding the betrayal, trials, crucifixion, death, and burial of Jesus, and it includes the mention of a centurion’s saying that “truly this was the Son of God!” (Matthew 27:54, ESV). This centurion would probably have presided over the deaths of numerous criminals, and none of those individual’s deaths were marked by the things that accompanied the death of Jesus.
Jesus was not accused of a typical crime; rather, He stood trial before Pilate for being King of the Jews (Matthew 27:11). Even after hearing the accusations and asking Jesus about them, Pilate determined that Jesus hadn’t done any evil (Matthew 27:23). But the clamor for Jesus to be crucified was so great that Pilate handed Jesus over for crucifixion (Matthew 27:26). From there the soldiers took Jesus and oversaw His being beaten, stripped, tortured with a crown of thorns, and mocked (Matthew 27:27–31). It is probable that this group of soldiers included the centurion who later said, “Truly this was the Son of God!” At first, all were participating in the mockery of Jesus, but as the events played out, some—including this centurion—recognized that Jesus was not a criminal and was, in fact, the Son of God.
In all this, Jesus continued to show meekness and did not speak in His own defense or argue. When Jesus was crucified, the charge written above His head was that He was the King of the Jews (Matthew 27:37). The mockeries continued as the onlookers recalled that He had referenced tearing down the temple and rebuilding it in three days—prophesying that He would die and be resurrected (Matthew 27:40a). They recalled that He had claimed to be the Son of God (Matthew 27:40b), and yet they mocked Him as if His claims were not true. The chief priests, scribes, and elders mocked Him, saying that, if He simply would come down from the cross, they would believe in Him (Matthew 27:42). Even the robbers crucified next to Him were insulting Him (Matthew 27:44). It was remarkable how many celebrated Jesus’ crucifixion, and surely the centurion took note of that. The centurion could see that this was no ordinary crucifixion and the man being crucified was no ordinary man. Soon the centurion would recognize that “truly this was the Son of God.”
At midday (the sixth hour of the day or noon), darkness came over the whole land for three hours (Matthew 27:45). At the ninth hour (3:00 in the afternoon), Jesus cried out to the Father, quoting Psalm 22:1, which was a further affirmation of Jesus’ identity (Matthew 27:46). He cried out again and gave up His spirit (Matthew 27:50). The centurion at the foot of the cross was no stranger to death. When he had observed crucifixions in the past, he had witnessed no great events or cataclysms. Jesus was different. The moment Jesus died, there was a great earthquake—so great that rocks were splitting and tombs were opening up (Matthew 27:51–53). When the centurion saw these things, he—along with others who were there—were filled with fear and recognized that “truly this was the Son of God.”
The eyewitnesses recognized that this was no ordinary death and this was no ordinary man. The things Jesus said were true, and He was who He claimed to be. It is remarkable that the centurion recognized Jesus’ true identity and that he did so when Jesus died. Some refused to recognize Jesus was the Son of God even after He was raised from the dead. This centurion and those who were working with him recognized because of what Jesus said and what they saw that “truly this was the Son of God.”

Dit is waarskynlik dat hierdie groep soldate die hoofman oor honderd ingesluit het wat later gesê het: “Dit was waarlik die Seun van God!” Aanvanklik het almal deelgeneem aan die bespotting van Jesus, maar soos die gebeure afgespeel het, het sommige – insluitend hierdie hoofman oor honderd – erken dat Jesus nie ‘n misdadiger was nie en in werklikheid die Seun van God was.
In dit alles het Jesus aangehou om sagmoedigheid te toon en het nie tot Sy eie verdediging gepraat of geargumenteer nie. Teen die middag (die sesde uur van die dag of middag) het duisternis oor die hele land gekom vir drie uur (Matteus 27:45). Op die negende uur (3:00 in die middag) het Jesus na die Vader geroep en Psalm 22:1 aangehaal, wat ‘n verdere bevestiging van Jesus se identiteit was (Matteus 27:46). Hy het weer uitgeroep en sy gees oorgegee (Matteus 27:50). Die hoofman oor honderd aan die voet van die kruis was geen vreemdeling vir die dood nie. Toe die hoofman oor honderd hierdie dinge sien, was hy – saam met ander wat daar was – vervul met vrees en het erken dat “dit waarlik die Seun van God was”.
Die ooggetuies het besef dat dit geen gewone dood was nie en dit was geen gewone man nie. Die dinge wat Jesus gesê het, was waar, en Hy was wie Hy beweer het om te wees. Dit is merkwaardig dat die hoofman oor honderd Jesus se ware identiteit erken het en dat hy dit gedoen het toe Jesus gesterf het. Sommige het geweier om te erken dat Jesus die Seun van God was, selfs nadat Hy uit die dood opgewek is. THE BLOOD OR JESUS CHRIST?
Jesus left us two things. The first is His name and the second is his blood.
Grace Larson sang: “Through the blood into your presence, boldly before you stand, laying my crown at your feet Lord. I’m giving You all that I am.”
While listening to the song I am reminded of Ephesians 2:13 which read: “You were far from God. But Christ offered his life’s blood as a sacrifice and brought you near God.” In Hebrews 10 we see how we were not able to enter into God’s presence till Jesus came and shed His blood. He made it possible for us to enter the most holy place, to enter into God’s presence.
In Biology we learned about blood. We learned about white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. But the blood of Jesus was more than a combination of these elements. It is purely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we can be redeemed (Ephesians 1:7), that we can have forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:14), that we can be justified (Romans 5:9), can be sanctified (Hebrews 13:12) and that we can be reconciled with God (Colossians 1:20).
But just like we are instructed not to use the Lord’s name in vain, we should be cautious of not using the blood of Jesus Christ in vain. (see Exodus 20:7) The blood of Jesus is not a magic potion, given in portions for us to use as and when required. Nor is it a good luck charm or a cheap commodity. Unfortunately, many who has not yet allowed the blood to wash and save them from sin, are calling upon the blood of a Savior with whom they have no relationship with. They call the blood over their property, their house and car, their family, and friends .
But do they know Jesus Christ, who’s blood they so randomly apply for physical blessings? Are they in a true relationship with the Lord, constantly seeking His face or dwelling in His presence? Are they aware that Jesus is more than a blood donor, or more than a blood bank to whom they can run in times of trouble?
The blood’s effectiveness is greatly determined by our relationship with Jesus Christ, who bled and died for us. In other words, if we did not make Jesus Christ our everything by accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour, we cannot haphazardly plead the blood over ourselves whenever we need healing, protection, or provision.
When we accept Jesus Christ and especially that which He did on Calvary we too will be able to enjoy the life, love, peace, freedom, and power there is in Christ. When Jesus Christ becomes more than the blood often used as a tool to meet our needs, we will benefit more. For through the blood, we come into His presence, where we can receive salvation, deliverance, healing, protection, provision and so much more.
Let us not simply admire and apply the blood in every situation, while our relationship with the Lord is not what it is supposed to be. Let us step out in faith, through the blood and serve Him alone, He who gave it all, He who shed His precious blood.

DIE BLOED OF JESUS CHRISTUS?
Jesus het vir ons twee dinge nagelaat. Die eerste is Sy naam en die tweede is sy bloed.
Grace Larson het gesing: “Deur die bloed in u teenwoordigheid, met vrymoedigheid voor U staan, en lê my kroon voor u voete neer Here. Ek gee U alles wat ek is.”
Terwyl ek na die lied luister, word ek herinner aan Efesiërs 2:13 wat lees: “Julle was ver van God af, maar Christus het sy lewensbloed as ’n offer gebring en julle naby God gebring.” In Hebreërs 10 sien ons hoe ons nie in God se teenwoordigheid kon ingaan voordat Jesus gekom het en Sy bloed vergiet het nie. Hy het dit vir ons moontlik gemaak om die allerheiligste in te gaan, om in God se teenwoordigheid in te gaan.
In Biologie het ons van bloed geleer. Ons het geleer van witbloedselle, rooibloedselle en bloedplaatjies. Maar die bloed van Jesus was meer as ‘n kombinasie van hierdie elemente. Dit is suiwer deur die bloed van ons Here Jesus Christus, dat ons verlos kan word (Efesiërs 1:7), dat ons vergifnis van sondes kan kry (Kolossense 1:14), dat ons geregverdig kan word (Romeine 5:9), geheilig kan word (Hebreërs 13:12) en dat ons met God versoen kan word (1:120).
Maar net soos ons opdrag kry om nie die Here se naam ydellik te gebruik nie, moet ons versigtig wees om nie die bloed van Jesus Christus ydelik te gebruik nie. (sien Eksodus 20:7) Die bloed van Jesus is nie ‘n towerdrank nie, wat in porsies gegee word vir ons om te gebruik soos en wanneer nodig. Dit is ook nie ‘n gelukbringer of ‘n goedkoop kommoditeit nie. Ongelukkig roep baie wat nog nie toegelaat het dat die bloed was en hulle van sonde red nie, die bloed van ‘n Verlosser met wie hulle geen verhouding het nie. Hulle roep die bloed oor hul eiendom, hul huis en motor, hul familie en vriende.
Maar ken hulle Jesus Christus, wie se bloed hulle so lukraak vir fisiese seëninge aanwend? Is hulle in ‘n ware verhouding met die Here, soek hulle voortdurend Sy aangesig of woon hulle in Sy teenwoordigheid? Is hulle bewus daarvan dat Jesus meer as ‘n bloedskenker is, of meer as ‘n bloedbank na wie hulle kan hardloop in tye van moeilikheid?
Die bloed se doeltreffendheid word grootliks bepaal deur ons verhouding met Jesus Christus, wat vir ons gebloei en gesterf het. Met ander woorde, as ons Jesus Christus nie ons alles gemaak het deur Hom as ons Here en Verlosser te aanvaar nie, kan ons nie lukraak die bloed oor onsself pleit wanneer ons ook al genesing, beskerming of voorsiening nodig het nie.
Wanneer ons Jesus Christus aanvaar en veral dit wat Hy op Golgota gedoen het, sal ons ook die lewe, liefde, vrede, vryheid en krag kan geniet wat daar in Christus is. Wanneer Jesus Christus meer word as die bloed wat dikwels gebruik word as ‘n hulpmiddel om in ons behoeftes te voorsien, sal ons meer baat vind. Want deur die bloed kom ons in Sy teenwoordigheid, waar ons verlossing, bevryding, genesing, beskerming, voorsiening en soveel meer kan ontvang.
Laat ons nie bloot die bloed in elke situasie bewonder en toepas, terwyl ons verhouding met die Here nie is wat dit veronderstel is om te wees nie. Kom ons stap in geloof uit, deur die bloed en dien Hom alleen, Hy wat dit alles gegee het, Hy wat sy kosbare bloed vergiet het.

MEET ” Lynda Randle
Lynda Tait Randle (born February 7,1962), is an alto singer of southern gospel music.
Early years
The daughter of Nate and Maxine Tait, Randle grew up in the inner city of Washington, DC. Her bi-vocational minister father drove a cab. Public schools provided her education through the eighth grade, after which she attended Riverdale Baptist School. Her choir teacher there persuaded her to enhance her solo talents. In 1989 she graduated from Liberty University.
Career
Randle is known as a Gaither Homecoming artist since she was recruited by Bill Gaither in 1998. She also markets a number of singing videos featuring her mellow alto voice in gospel music, particularly southern gospel.
She also heads Lynda Randle Ministries in Kansas City, Missouri. Randle on March 21, 2009, became one of the main artists featured by Feed the Children as a fundraising solicitation for contributions.
Randle wrote a children’s book, Cab Driver’s Daughter, that is partly autobiographical.
Personal life
Randle and her husband, Michael, live in Liberty, Missouri, where they settled after their 1989 marriage.They have two daughters, Patience and Joy. Randle has four sisters. Her brother is formally Michael Tait of DC Talk and Newsboys.

The Wrath of God and the 3 Last Trumpets
As soon as the 5th Plaque is poured out after the 3rd into the fresh water system of the Earth , turning all drinkable water into stale dead blood. The 4th were the Sun explodes and burn out and total Darkness comes on to the Universe and Earth, The only water left on earth, is the polluted water of the Euphrates River, polluted with radiation from the Gog and Magog bomb. Rev 16:12 ~ 14 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
This is when the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ takes place and the Rapture takes place!

Mat 24:29 ~ 31 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
1Th 4:13 ~ 17 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1 Cor 15:51 ~ 52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
This also clearly proof that the Elect that is still alive will not be around the Euphrates River and not part of the people that will come to battle against God at the Battle of Armageddon.
We that is still alive at the 2nd coming will be gathered by the Angels to come and be at the 2nd Coming from the 4 wind directions of Earth.
How did we survive without water? Let’s look at the End Time Psalm for answers.
Remember just before the 5th Trumpet – the Super Volcano eruption the Angels come to place a seal of protection in our foreheads against the wrath of God, for those that did not take the mark of the Beast.
Rev 7:2 ~ 3 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
After we are marked with the seal of God in our foreheads we go into Angel protection for the period of the Wrath of God leading to the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.
This is where the Angles will bring us; gather us together at the area around Megiddo.

The 7th Seal , 7th Trumpet and 7th Plaque of God’s Wrath is the Battle of Armageddon
To explain this to you we will look at the last Seal, the Last Trumpet and the Last Vale!
Meaning the 7th Seal. The 7th Trumpet. The 7th Vale at the same time.

Rev 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
And Rev 11 v 19 = 7th Trumpet.
Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
And Rev 16 v 18 / 21 = the 7th Vale of God’s wrath!
Rev 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Rev 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
All 3 of these Explains the Battle of Armageddon.
The 7th Seal/7th Trumpet/7 Vales speaks of the same Event.

Israel’s First Fully Autonomous Drone Uses AI to Conduct Real-Life Missions
Israeli tech company Percepto will soon unveil a rugged autonomous drone with unheard-of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to advance security missions with real-life applications, a product the company says could only have been developed in Israel, the world capital of defense innovation.
On January 15, Percepto will showcase, for the first time in the field, the Sparrow I, a rugged drone specifically designed for harsh industrial environments.
While drones are widely used in the civilian market as toys, Sparrow I is a serious, fully autonomous drone with defense applications. While other drones’ autonomous capabilities only include flying, Percepto’s drone is the first fully autonomous drone with real-life mission applications. It uses machine vision and artificial intelligence to conduct security, safety and inspection missions, collecting and analyzing data in real-time, which it then provides to its customers.
The Israeli innovation is helping a range of some of the world’s most important and well-known companies better protect sensitive and strategic assets, such as oil and gas refineries, power plants, shipping ports and sea terminals.
“Percepto is a company started with the idea of creating real-time applications for drones to conduct autonomous real-life missions,” Ariel Avitan, Percepto Chief Commercial Officer, told Breaking Israel News.
“What we’ve added is a drone base station that can charge autonomously and a cloud software system that manages the drones on-site. On top of that, we create machine-based applications that allow drones to work 24/7 and do specific security and safety missions autonomously,” he said.
The main pool of customers for the innovation includes industries that use heavy utilities and critical infrastructure. “They include gas companies, big data sites, and facilities that need a high level of security, safety, maintenance, and inspection within the site,” Avitan told Breaking Israel News.
“Their main incentive is 24/7 work to reduce human labor on the security side and make their maintenance cycles much more effective on an ongoing basis.”
He explained, “Manpower for security costs a lot of money. US guards for nuclear sites cost $100,000 plus benefits per person. For 24 hours, companies need 3-5 guards per shift. Annually, that’s half a million dollars for one person to be on a shift. It is very hard to keep up with costs of security, and the added security that drones bring has the ability to autonomously detect [security threats] day or night and reduces human patrol.”
Thus, in order to replace guards and maintenance personnel year-round, the drones are built to work in harsh conditions, year round, 24/7, from the -20°C Milwaukee weather to the 50°C weather of the Mojave desert.
Today, four years since launching, Percepto is 23 employees strong and based in Modiin, Israel. According to Avitan, it is no coincidence that an Israeli-based company innovated this technology that is so relevant to the needs of modern security challenges.
“Israel has many security needs that have to do with high-end technology and need to make sure that the Israeli security is one step ahead,” said Avitan, who identified machine vision as particularly important for the Israeli military capability.
Due to the terrorist threat that Israel faces, comprising of “terrorist organizations that use these technologies for own interest,” Avitan told Breaking Israel News, “Israel is a leading country in anti-drone capabilities, including GPS interference, and autonomous systems, to make sure threats are taken down before harm is caused.”
He also maintained that the Israeli army fosters strong research and development personnel from Israeli airspace companies and defense units within the IDF.
“No doubt that experience coming from Israel is a main component in our ability to deliver high-end systems and large defense and military requirements. With Israel’s army training, it is much easier to provide industrial grade systems and to deploy very good commercialized solutions for the industry,” Avitan said.
Percepto’s Israeli drone-making know-how has already crossed borders, fulfilling incoming requests from many sectors, including other countries’ homeland security departments.
Although he could not specify which countries requested the technology, he concluded, “We already have requests from European countries, Southeast Asian countries, and the US. We have no doubt that there will be applications in the defense arena.”

Israel would ‘lead’ strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, says Trump
President Donald Trump said that Israel would “be the leader” if Jerusalem and Washington bombed Iran’s nuclear sites, should talks aimed at securing an agreement to curb Tehran’s nuclear development program fail.
Speaking at the White House on Wednesday, Trump said that military action is on the table if Iran does not agree to a deal limiting its nuclear efforts to strictly civilian purposes.
“Israel will obviously be very much involved in that — it’ll be the leader of that,” Trump said.
However, moments later, Trump clarified that “nobody leads” the U.S. and that “we do what we want to do.”
Trump elaborated on the deadline for talks, stressing that he would not allow Tehran to drag out negotiations.
“We have a little time, but we don’t have much time because we’re not going to let them have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said. “We’re going to let them thrive. I want them to thrive. I want Iran to be great. The only thing they can’t have is a nuclear weapon. They understand that.”
On Monday, Trump announced that the U.S. was set to begin direct talks with Iran regarding its nuclear program. The statement appeared to take Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was visiting the White House at the time, by surprise.
In recent weeks, Trump has made public overtures towards Iran, urging Tehran to engage in diplomacy.
The Islamic Republic admitted that it was prepared to resume talks with Washington, though the country claimed negotiations would take place via an Omani intermediary.
The U.S. deployed at least six B-2 stealth bombers to the Indian Ocean atoll of Diego Garcia, flexing its muscles ahead of the talks.
“The deployment of these B-2s is clearly designed to send a message – perhaps several messages – to Iran,” former US Air Force colonel and military analyst Cedric Leighton told CNN.

Introduction to the Bible – Bible Summary
Summary of the Book of Ruth
Author: The Book of Ruth does not specifically name its author. The tradition is that the
Book of Ruth was written by the Prophet Samuel. Full article: Who wrote the book of

Date of Writing: The exact date the Book of Ruth was written is uncertain. However, the
prevalent view is a date between 1011 and 931 B.C.
Purpose of Writing: The Book of Ruth was written to the Israelites. It teaches that
genuine love at times may require uncompromising sacrifice. Regardless of our lot in
life, we can live according to the precepts of God. Genuine love and kindness will be
rewarded. God abundantly blesses those who seek to live obedient lives. Obedient living
does not allow for “accidents” in God’s plan. God extends mercy to the merciful.
Key Verses:
Ruth 1:16, “But Ruth replied, ‘don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you.
Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people
and your God my God.'”
Ruth 3:9, “‘Who are you?’ he asked. ‘I am your servant Ruth,’ she said. ’spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a kinsman-redeemer.'”
Ruth 4:17, “The women living there said, ‘Naomi has a son.’ And they named him Obed.
He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.”
Brief Summary: The setting for the Book of Ruth begins in the heathen country of
Moab, a region northeast of the Dead Sea, but then moves to Bethlehem. This true
account takes place during the dismal days of failure and rebellion of the Israelites,
called the period of the Judges. A famine forces Elimelech and his wife, Naomi, from
their Israelite home to the country of Moab. Elimelech dies and Naomi is left with her
two sons, who soon marry two Moabite girls, Orpah and Ruth. Later both of the sons
die, and Naomi is left alone with Orpah and Ruth in a strange land. Orpah returns to her
parents, but Ruth determines to stay with Naomi as they journey to Bethlehem. This
story of love and devotion tells of Ruth’s eventual marriage to a wealthy man named
Boaz, by whom she bears a son, Obed, who becomes the grandfather of David and the
ancestor of Jesus. Obedience brings Ruth into the privileged lineage of Christ.
Foreshadowings: A major theme of the Book of Ruth is that of the kinsman-redeemer.
Boaz, a relative of Naomi on her husband’s side, acted upon his duty as outlined in the
Mosaic Law to redeem an impoverished relative from his or her circumstances (Lev.
25:47-49). This scenario is repeated by Christ, who redeems us, the spiritually
impoverished, from the slavery of sin. Our heavenly Father sent His own Son to the cross
so that we might become children of God and brothers and sisters of Christ. By being
our Redeemer, He makes us His kinsmen.
Practical Application: The sovereignty of our great God is clearly seen in the story of
Ruth. He guided her every step of the way to become His child and fulfill His plan for her
to become an ancestor of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5). In the same way, we have
assurance that God has a plan for each of us. Just as Naomi and Ruth trusted Him to
provide for them, so should we.
We see in Ruth an example of the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31. In addition to being
devoted to her family (Ruth 1:15-18; Proverbs 31:10-12) and faithfully dependent upon
God (Ruth 2:12; Proverbs 31:30), we see in Ruth a woman of godly speech. Her words
are loving, kind and respectful, both to Naomi and to Boaz. The virtuous woman
of Proverbs 31 “opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of
kindness” (v. 26). We could search far and wide to find a woman today as worthy of
being our role model as Ruth.

vervul vir haar om ‘n voorvader van Jesus Christus te word ( Matteus 1:5 ). Op dieselfde
manier het ons die versekering dat God ‘n plan met elkeen van ons het. Net soos Naomi
en Rut Hom vertrou het om vir hulle te voorsien, so moet ons ook.
Ons sien in Rut ‘n voorbeeld van die deugsame vrou van Spreuke 31 . Behalwe dat ons
toegewyd is aan haar gesin ( Rut 1:15-18 ; Spreuke 31:10-12 ) en getrou van God
afhanklik is ( Rut 2:12 ; Spreuke 31:30 ), sien ons in Rut ‘n vrou van godvrugtige spraak.
Haar woorde is liefdevol, vriendelik en respekvol, beide vir Naomi en vir Boas. Die
deugsame vrou van Spreuke 31 “maak haar mond oop met wysheid, en op haar tong is
die wet van goedertierenheid” (v. 26). Ons kan ver en wyd soek om ‘n vrou vandag te
vind wat so waardig is om ons rolmodel te wees soos Rut.
