Bible Verse and Prayer for Today;

My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother.
Proverbs 6:20

Prayer

Lord . For those who still Have a Father and a Mother on this Earth , Help them to Respect there Parents . Help them to Keep the Commandments of their Earthly Father but Mostly the Commandments of God and Jesus . Please Help them to Adhere the Law of their Mother , This we Pray in Jesus name , Amen and Amen

Something to Think about after this Prayer

Both Christian parents and their married children can have difficulty with the balance between the concept of “leave and cleave” and honoring parents. Some pertinent Bible passages:

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined (cleave) to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24).

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right” (Ephesians 6:1).

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).

There are three aspects to the statement of Genesis 2:24: 1. Leave – This indicates that in a family there are two types of relationships. The parent-child relationship is the temporary one and there will be a “leaving.” The husband-wife relationship is the permanent one—“what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Matthew 19:6). Problems occur in family life when these two roles are reversed and the parent-child relationship is treated as the primary relationship. When an adult child has married and this parent-child relationship remains primary, the newly formed union is threatened.

  1. Cleave – the Hebrew word translated “cleave” refers to (1) the pursuing hard after someone else and (2) being glued or stuck to something/someone. So a man is to pursue hard after his wife after the marriage has occurred (the courtship should not end with the wedding vows) and is to be “stuck to her like glue.” This cleaving indicates such closeness that there should be no closer relationship than that between the two spouses, not with any former friend or with any parent.
  2. And they shall become one flesh – Marriage takes two individuals and creates a new single entity. There is to be such sharing and oneness in every aspect (physical, emotional, intellectual, financial, social) that the resulting unity can be best described as “one flesh.” Again, when there is greater sharing and emotional support gained from a continuing parent-child relationship than from the husband-wife relationship, the oneness within the marriage is being threatened, resulting in an unbiblical imbalance.

With these three aspects of Genesis 2:24 in mind, there are also the scriptural admonitions to honor one’s parents. This includes treating them with a respectful attitude (Proverbs 30:11,17), obeying them when their commands are in keeping with God’s laws (“in the Lord” Ephesians 6:1), and taking care of them as they get older (Mark 7:10-12; 1 Timothy 5:4-8).

The line between these two commands is drawn where one is being asked to comply with one principle in such a way that it will violate the other principle or command. When the meddling of a parent violates the “leaving” because it is treating the parent-child relationship as primary (demanding obedience, dependence, or emotional oneness over the desires of, dependence upon, or oneness with the spouse), it should be respectfully rejected and the spouse’s desires honored. However, when there are genuine needs of an aging parent (either physical or emotional, assuming the emotional “need” does not supersede the “leaving” principle), that need is to be met, even if one’s spouse does not “like” the parent-in-law. Biblical love toward the aging parent is given based on choosing to do the loving thing, even when one does not feel like doing it.

The balance between these scriptural mandates is similar to the command to obey those in authority (Romans 13) and the example of the apostles violating that principle when the authority figures ask them to act contrary to God’s mandates. In Acts 4:5-20, the apostles rejected the Jewish authorities’ demand to stop preaching the gospel because their command violated God’s, but the apostles did so in a respectful manner. Similarly, Jesus says we are to honor our parents but that the parent-child relationship is secondary to our relationship with Christ (Luke 14:26). In like manner, when parents violate Genesis 2:24 principles, the parents should be respectfully disobeyed. But on the opposite end of the spectrum, a spouse’s desires should be overlooked if he/she is unwilling to expend the time, energy, and finances required to meet the needs of an aging parent; keeping in mind that one must distinguish true physical and emotional needs from the “felt needs” of an overbearing, demanding parent.

Prayer Tips

Prayers in the Old Testament

  • God gives orders to others to bless you.
Job 42:8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams,
    and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering;
and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal
with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing
which is right, like my servant Job.
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the
Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them:
    the LORD also accepted Job.
  • God will sanctify you.
  • God will use people to bless you.
  • God will give plentiful and in multitude,
  • Pray for the enemies that sinned against you.
  • Intersession God will allow.
  • Be grateful for what you have.
  • Praise God in the good and bad times of your life.

Spreuke 6:20

Gebed

Here.

‘n Paar relevante Bybelgedeeltes:

  • God sal jou heilig.

Bible Teaching of the Day

Jesus 40 Days in the Wilderness

The idea that Jesus was intentionally directed by the Spirit of God into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil is a theologically challenging concept. Yet that is precisely what the Gospels indicate: “Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil” (Matthew 4:1; cp. Mark 1:12–13; Luke 4:1–2).

It doesn’t take long in the Christian walk to discover that temptations frequently come. We might wonder, does God deliberately orchestrate such tests, or was the wilderness temptation of Jesus an exclusive experience only for the Son of Man? As we consider these questions, we’ll see that God allows His followers to be tested for a good purpose. Christ’s experience in the wilderness serves as an example for Christian disciples. But as we study the account, an even deeper meaning is revealed. The Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted because God wanted His Son and His followers to understand the Lord’s messianic mission clearly—that Christ had not come to earth as Israel’s Conquering King but as her Suffering Servant.

Temptation itself is not a sin. Jesus was “tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin” (Hebrews. 4:15; see also 2 Corinthians 5:21). The Lord was not tested to see if He would fail. Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted to demonstrate how we can resist the temptation to sin, and how, through Christ’s power, we, too, can overcome (Hebrews 2:18).

Many Bible scholars suggest that the specific temptations Jesus faced in the wilderness represent three main categories of all human temptation. The apostle John labeled these as “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life” (1 John 2:16).

With the first test, Jesus was tempted to depend on His own independent provision of food rather than rely on God. After forty days of fasting, Christ was hungry, so Satan tried to persuade Him to turn desert rocks into bread. But Jesus was determined to do His Father’s will alone (John 4:34; 5:30; Luke 22:42; Hebrews 10:5–7). It was not the Father telling Jesus to transform the rocks, and so our Lord resisted the temptation with the truth of God’s Word (Matthew 4:4). Our Lord’s example shows us that the Word of God is our best defense against Satan’s schemes. At the same time, Jesus affirmed His messianic mission, submissively entrusting Himself to the Father’s plan rather than forcefully paving His own way and meeting His own needs.

The second temptation involved performing a miracle that would show off Christ’s supernatural power and draw attention to Himself. It was the temptation to abuse His power for His own benefit. Again, Jesus voiced God’s Word in response to the temptation (Matthew 4:7). Satan deceptively portrays sin as acceptable and desirable. The solution is to counter his lies with the truth.

In the third test, Jesus was tempted to secure an earthly crown and bypass the suffering and sacrifice He would endure on the cross. Satan offered “all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor” (Matthew 4:8). It was the kingship that Christ was ultimately destined for, minus the suffering. “All this I will give you,” Satan told Jesus, “if you will bow down and worship me” (Matthew 4:9). The tempter repeatedly offers what seems like a better plan or an easy way out. But the liar fled when Jesus stabbed him with “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:17), declaring that only the Lord God is to be worshiped and served (Matthew 4:10).

The fact that the Spirit led the Son of Man into the wilderness to be tempted creates an interesting contrast with another event in Scripture. Adam, the first man, was in a lush and fruitful garden when he was tempted. He failed the test, plunging all of humanity into sin and death (see Romans 5:12). In contrast, Jesus, the Second Adam, was tempted in a dry and barren wilderness—our paradise having been lost. Jesus passed the test, thrice over, and it is in Him that the Adamic curse is reversed and we have eternal life. “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!” (Romans 5:17).

The backdrop to Jesus being led into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted is found in Deuteronomy 8:1–5. Moses remembered how the Lord God led the people of Israel in the wilderness for forty years “to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”

It’s important to understand that God does not tempt anyone to sin (James 1:13). But He does allow us to be tested and evaluated (Hebrews 11:17–19; 2 Corinthians 13:5; James 1:12; Psalm 17:3; 139:23; Malachi 3:3). God tested our Savior’s character through adversity in the wilderness, and He applies the same initiative in our lives today. Through trials and temptations, we grow in faith and understanding of our mission as servants of His kingdom (Deuteronomy 13:3; 2 Chronicles 32:31; James 1:3; 1 Peter 1:6–7). Through every test, we develop spiritual muscle memory, helping us to depend on Him and His Word to overcome life’s difficulties and challenges.

Today’s Devotional

NO PROOF REQUIRED

Jesus said, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” (Mark 5:36)

In Recent years, a substantial number of studies has been done to prove the Bible or Biblical events as true or correct. And though some overwhelming and often significant evidence were found, our search for physical prove raises some red flags for me.

Sadly, our continued efforts to find prove or provide evidence of the trueness, correctness, or validity of the Word only emphasize the lack of faith we have in the Word, and ultimately in God.

But what does the Word say?

Firstly, we need to take cognizance of Hebrews 11:6 which clearly states that it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Furthermore, our faith should be in the Son of God and not in proof or evidence provided. John 3:36 reads, “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

It is also of utmost importance not just to say or confess that we believe, but our confession should emphasize that our faith is in Jesus Christ and the finished work of the cross. This is evident from Romans 10:9 which states that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

We should also have unwavering (doubtless) faith like Abraham. In Romans 4:20 – 21 we read that Abraham did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,  being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Do we need proof or evidence as to the existence of God or do we really need to be reassured by discoveries or studies that the Word is true? NO, not at all, all we need is to believe or to have faith.

Paul Rader once wrote a song called “Only believe.” The lyric to the chorus reads, “Only believe, only believe; All things are possible, only believe.”

In conclusion, let us sing, “Lord I believe, Lord I believe; All things are possible, Lord I believe.”

Paul Rader het ‘n liedjie geskryf genaamd “Only believe.” Die lirieke van die refrein lui: “Only believe, only believe; All things are possible, only believe.”

Ten slotte, laat ons sing: “Lord I believe, Lord I believe; All things are possible, Lord I believe.”

Here ek glo, Here ek glo; Alle dinge is moontlik, Here ek glo.

Bible Prophecy in the News

King of the South Speaks on behalf of the Eagle Wings – Bible Terms

Trump on the verge of recognizing ‘State of Palestine,’ says Saudi diplomat

“If it occurs, will be an important declaration that will change the balance of power in the Middle East, and more countries will join the Abraham Accords.”

Ahead of the Gulf-US Summit this week, a Saudi diplomatic source speculates that US President Donald Trump will recognize a Palestinian state.

The cause of the speculation was President Trump’s statement in the Oval Office last week that he was going to make a “very big announcement…as big as it gets” before his Middle East trip.

The source, who did not want to be named, told The Media Line, “President Donald Trump will issue a declaration that America will recognize the State of Palestine and that there will be the establishment of a Palestinian state without Hamas.”

The source also added, “The American recognition of the State of Palestine, if it occurs, will be an important declaration that will change the balance of power in the Middle East, and more countries will join the Abraham Accords.”

Although the source acknowledged that economic agreements will also be announced at the summit, they added that they will be of secondary importance since many have already been announced. However, the source added that they predict the Gulf states will be exempted from tariffs.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee denied that Trump was going to announce the recognition of a Palestinian state and reiterated that Israel has no closer friend than the US.

Ahmed Al-Ibrahim, a former Gulf diplomat, doubted the source’s belief that the US was on the brink of recognizing a Palestinian state , and said, “I don’t think Trump’s announcement will be about Palestine. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and King Abdullah II of Jordan have
not been invited. They are the two nations with the closest ties to Palestine, and it would be important for them to be present at any event like this.”

Al-Ibrahim added that he thinks the news will be in the form of economic agreements with the Gulf States and said, “There will be major deals coming, perhaps similar to what happened at the 2017 Gulf-US summit, with Saudi deals worth more than $400 billion. Let’s not forget that the UAE announced investments in the US worth more than $1 trillion, and Saudi Arabia announced investments worth more than $600 billion.”

He continued, “This is clear because President Donald Trump intends to visit the UAE and Qatar after concluding his visit to Saudi Arabia. These are two important economies with significant financial resources and major investments in the United States.”

In addition to economic developments, Saudi Arabia is planning to build its first nuclear reactors, with a number of European countries competing for a deal to design them.

The United Arab Emirates owns the Barakah reactor and is the only Arab nation with a four-reactor nuclear power plant. END OF ARTICLE

Huckabee Responds to Report Trump Will Declare Palestinian State: “My 4-yr-old Grandson is More Reliable”

On Saturday, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee rejected claims that President Trump intends to support the declaration of a Palestinian state.

Signs of the Times

The Temple We Need, Not the Temple We Want
by Rabbi Elie Mischel
When the Temple stood on Mount Moriah, Judaism was complete. The Temple wasn’t merely a building—it was God’s dwelling place on earth. For 2,000 years, we Jews have lived in a state of spiritual amputation, practicing what can only be called a “shadow Judaism.” Without the Temple, we exist at arm’s length from God, cut off from the direct communion with the Divine that our ancestors experienced. Three times daily, we turn toward Jerusalem and plead, “May it be Your will that the Temple be rebuilt speedily in our days.”

Yet for many Christians who support Israel, this aspect of our faith remains puzzling. Why do we yearn so desperately for the restoration of ancient rituals involving animal sacrifices? Isn’t such a practice primitive and outdated in our modern world? Can ancient Temple worship truly have relevance in our contemporary reality?

PASTOR DIRK SAYS

END OF THE WORLD and Jerusalem third temple

Jerusalem at the time was in the grips of a mayoral election and the Sanhedrin urged both running candidates, Ofer Berkovich and Moshe Lion, to rebuild the temple

The first two Holy Temples of Jerusalem were constructed on the city’s Temple Mount centuries ago but were razed to the ground by the Babylonians and the Romans respectively.

The Holy Temple plays a crucial role in Jewish tradition and is a central player in prophecies and tales concerning the apocalypse.

The rabbis of the Sanhedrin court are calling both mayor candidates to include in their plans for this city the rebuilding of the third temple.

“The building of the ‘Third Temple’ is therefore at the heart of Dispensationalism; even though it recognizes that the Beast will desecrate it before the coming of Christ and the Millennium.

“Already many Third Temple vessels and artifacts are being prepared for the bloody sacrifices of the animals that will occur in that Temple.”

According to Rev 11 . A New (3rd) Temple will be Built on Temple Mount next to the Dome of the Rock . It will not be the same size as the Previous 2 Temples. It will be smaller and compact.

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

This Temple will be Build 7 Years before the Battle of Armageddon at the Beginning of the 7 Year Peace Plan confirmed by the Prophet Daniel in the Book Daniel

Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (7 Years): and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

In Daniel 9 v 27 . That the Jewish Messiah (Not Jesus) will break the 7 Year peace plan halfway .

The 7 Years are 84 Months or 2 540 Days . Half way will be 42 Months or 1260/1290 days

This confirmed both by Jesus showing to John and the Prophet Daniel

1st part of the 7 year peace plan
Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two (42) months.
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (1260) , clothed in sackcloth.

And

2nd Half of the 7 Year peace plan Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Paul explains the Abomination of Desolation

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

Jesus confirms what the Prophet Daniel stated in Daniel 12

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

The 7 Year Peace plan will be halved when the Jewish Messiah walks into the 3rd Temple after 42 Months or 1260 day after the unveiling of it and stop the Daily Offers by walking into the Holy of Holies and sit on the ark of the covenant and claim to be God . He Himself breaks his own 7 Year peace plan and the Jews in the New Country of Palestine have to flee Judea and Samaria as Jesus confirmed

For the 1st half of the Peace Agreement , the Jewish Messiah (Not Jesus) will be in charge of the 3rd Temple and he will allow daily sacrifices – Time 42 Months or 1260 Days

For the 2nd half of the Now broken Peace agreement the now turned Jewish Messiah becomes the Christian Antichrist and the Jewish AntiGod . He then turns the Temple into the Head office of the Beast – Mark of the Beast 666 – Time 42 Months or 1290 Days

The Antichrist will then place an Android Statues in the Temple for the world to worship

Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

What will happen to the Third Temple in the end days?

According to the Book of Revelation, the Second Coming of Christ will result in the temple’s ultimate destruction.

A great earthquake will split the ground open beneath Jerusalem and mountains and islands will be displaced.

Revelation 6:12-17 reads: “I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake and the sun became black as sackcloth made from hair, and the whole moon became like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.

“The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

“Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’”

What does the Bible say about the end of the world?

No one knows the time or date of the apocalypse but the Bible’s Book of Revelation outlines the events that will unfold at the end times.

The Book of Revelation 1:1-8 reads: “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place.

“He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”

The End of the World is called Armageddon.

The 7th Seal / the 7th Trumpet / the 7th Plaque of God’s Wrath Explains the same Event = The Battle of Armageddon

In this Prophecy Book we read of 7 Seals. 7 Vales. And 7 Trumpets! Bible Teachers teaches that the one follow the other!
They teach. 1st the 7 Seals gets opened. Then the 7 Vales. And then the 7 Trumpets.
To Explain this to you we will look at the last Seal. The Last Trumpet and the Last Vale!
Meaning the 7th Seal. The 7th Trumpet. The 7th Vale at the same time.

Recorded in Rev 8 v 5= 7th Seal.
Rev 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices(7 Thunders), and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

And Rev 11 v 19 = 7th Trumpet.
Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices(7 Thunders), and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

And Rev 16 v 18 / 21 = the 7th Vale of Gods wrath!
Rev 16:18 And there were voices(7 Thunders), and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Rev 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

All 3 of these Explains the Battle of Armageddon.
The 7th Seal/7th Trumpet/7 Vales speaks of the same Event, at the 2nd Coming and the Rapture thereafter and just before the Battle of Armageddon.

Jesus himself confirms this
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

You see the 7 Seals is the Long Story to the 2nd Coming of Jesus. Started at 70 After Christ and Ends after the 2nd Coming of Jesus.
The 7 Trumpets is the Shorter Story until the 2nd Coming of Jesus. From 1900’s to after the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ.
And the 7 Vales the Real Short story from the Implementation of the Mark of the Beast until after the 2nd coming of Jesus!

When will the Rapture Be?
Just after the 6th Seal was opened! After the 6th Vale was poured on Earth and at the Sound of the 7th Trumpet!
Note that the 7th Vale runs over Chapters in Rev. Rev 16, 17, 18 and 19. Once again the event of the 7th seal / 7th Vale / 7th Trumpet is explained in Rev 19 from v 18.
Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
4 places in Revelation that explains what will happen just before. And during and the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ and the RAPTURE !

New Wings for the Eagle Wings – Qatar to Gift Trump with $400 Million “‘”Flying Palace”””

Sources tell ABC News that the Qatari royal family is preparing to greet President Trump during his visit this week with the gift of a new jumbo jet to serve as Air Force One.

The royal family of Qatar is preparing to give the United States the most expensive gift ever offered to an American president — a jumbo jet to serve as the new Air Force One, ABC News reported Sunday.

Citing two sources familiar with the arrangement, ABC News reported that the Trump administration is set to formally receive a Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet aircraft during his state visit to Qatar later this week.

According to the report, the luxury aircraft will be designated at the new Air Force One for the remainder of Trump’s presidency, after which it will be transferred to the Trump presidential library foundation.

The president already reportedly toured the aircraft, which has been dubbed a “flying palace” due to its extravagant interior design, when it was in West Palm Beach Airport this February.

The White House and Justice Department are both said to have assessed the gift for any potential legal issues, advising Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth that there do not appear to be any constitutional or statutory prohibitions on receiving the plane or transferring it to the presidential library foundation.

Places in the Bible

Mount of Olives

Also known as Olivet, Mount Olivet, Har HaZeitim

From the Kidron Valley

Separated from the Eastern Hill (the Temple Mount and the City of David) by the Kidron Valley, the Mount of Olives has always been an important feature in Jerusalem’s landscape. From the 3rd millennium BC until the present, this 2900-foot (880-m) hill has served as one of the main burial grounds for the city. The two-mile- (3.2-km-) long ridge has three summits each of which has a tower built on it.

Dome of the Ascension

The Church of the Holy Ascension was taken by Saladin in 1187, converted into a mosque, and remains such today. It contains what is traditionally the last footprint of Jesus on earth before He ascended into heaven.

Two other places are claimed to be the location of the ascension. Constantine’s mother Helena built a church under the modern Paternoster Church to commemorate this event. A much later tradition connects the Russian Orthodox Church of the Ascension to Christ’s return into heaven.

Scripture indicates that the Jesus ascended into heaven in the vicinity of Bethany. This village is down the east slope of the Mt. of Olives about 1.5 miles (2.2 km). In this case, none of the traditional locations for the ascension are correct.

Garden of Gethsemane

Early Christian pilgrims located the Garden of Gethsemane at the bottom of the slope of the Mount of Olives opposite the Temple Mount. Byzantine, Crusader, and a modern church were built successively on the site where it is believed that Jesus prayed to the Father hours before His crucifixion. The modern Church of All Nations has a beautiful mosaic on its facade.

Olives Trees in Gethsemane

Adjacent to the Church of All Nations is an ancient olive garden. Olive trees do not have rings and so their age can not be precisely determined, but scholars estimate their age to anywhere between one and two thousand years old. It is unlikely that these trees were here in the time of Christ because of the report that the Romans cut down all the trees in the area in their siege of Jerusalem in AD 70.

Church of Mary Magdalene

This Russian Orthodox church was built in honor of the czar’s mother in 1888 and the mosaic inside depicts the legend of Mary Magdalene presenting an egg to Emperor Tiberius. The egg allegedly turned red when she handed it to him, symbolic of Jesus’s blood. Approximately 30 nuns from all over the world live in the convent here today.

Dominus Flevit Church

Built in 1955 to commemorate the Lord’s weeping over Jerusalem, Dominus Flevit features a beautiful view of the city through its distinct chapel window. Excavations during the construction of the church uncovered a number of ossuaries (bone boxes) from the time of Jesus with numerous inscriptions.

Introduction to the Bible – Bible Summary

Summary of the Book of Micah
Author:
The author of the Book of Micah was the Prophet Micah (Micah 1:1).
Date of Writing: The Book of Micah was likely written between 735 and 700 B.C.
Purpose of Writing: The message of the Book of Micah is a complex mixture of
judgment and hope. On the one hand, the prophecies announce judgment upon Israel
for social evils, corrupt leadership and idolatry. This judgment was expected to
culminate in the destruction of Samaria and Jerusalem. On the other hand, the book
proclaims not merely the restoration of the nation, but the transformation and
exaltation of Israel and Jerusalem. The messages of hope and doom are not necessarily
contradictory, however, since restoration and transformation take place only after
judgment.
Key Verses:
Micah 1:2, “Hear, O peoples, all of you, listen, O earth and all who are in it, that the
Sovereign LORD may witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple.”
Micah 5:2, “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of
Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are
from of old, from ancient times.”
Micah 6:8, “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require
of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 7:18-19, “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show
mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl
all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.”
Brief Summary: The prophet condemns the rulers, priests, and prophets of Israel who
exploit and mislead the people. It is because of their deeds that Jerusalem will be
destroyed. The prophet Micah proclaims the deliverance of the people who will go from
Jerusalem to Babylon and concludes with an exhortation for Jerusalem to destroy the
nations who have gathered against her. The ideal ruler would come from Bethlehem to
defend the nation, and the prophet proclaims the triumph of the remnant of Jacob and
foresees a day when Yahweh will purge the nation of idolatry and reliance on military
might. The prophet sets forth a powerful and concise summary of Yahweh’s requirement
for justice and loyalty and announces judgment upon those who have followed the ways
of Omri and Ahab. The book closes with a prophetic liturgy comprising elements of a
lament. Israel confesses its sin and is assured of deliverance through Yahweh’s mighty
acts.
Foreshadowings: Micah 5:2 is a Messianic prophecy quoted when the magi were
searching for the king born in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:6). These wise men from the East
were told that from the tiny village of Bethlehem would come forth the Prince of Peace,
the Light of the world. Micah’s message of sin, repentance, and restoration finds its
ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ who is the propitiation for our sins (Romans 3:24-25)
and the only way to God (John 14:6).
Practical Application: God gives warnings so we will not have to suffer His wrath.
Judgment is certain if God’s warnings are not heeded and His provision for sin in the
sacrifice of His Son is rejected. For the believer in Christ, God will discipline us—not from
hate—but because He loves us. He knows that sin destroys and He wants us to be
whole. This wholeness which is the promise of restoration awaits those who remain
obedient to Him.

Inleiding tot die Bybel – Bybel Samevatting

Opsomming van die boek Miga
Skrywer:
klein dorpie Bethlehem sou voortkom.
