The Golden Lampstand as Faith Building

The first time we see the word lampstand in the Bible is in Exodus 25:31, as God gives detailed instructions about the golden lampstand to be placed in the tabernacle the Israelites were building. It’s interesting to note just how precise God is in explaining how He wanted the lampstand to look. Since we can be assured there are no “wasted words” in the Bible, we know each detail and specification are important for some reason.

The lampstand was to be made of pure gold, hammered out to the perfect accuracy of God’s decree (Exodus 25:31). Gold was the most valuable of all metals (Psalm 119:127; 19:10). Gold is often spoken of in terms of being “tested by fire”; the Bible compares the testing of gold with the testing of the church in 1 Peter 1:7. Out of testing, or refining, will come the true people of God (see Zechariah 13:7–9; Job 23:10). Those who withstand the “fire” will be purified (see Numbers 31:23).

The lampstand as a whole was to be fashioned as a tree with the base and center shaft representing the trunk and with three “branches” on each side. The top of the shaft and of each branch was to be made like an open almond flower; each flower held an oil lamp (Exodus 25:32, 37). There are several passages in the Bible that speak about the almond tree, which was always the first tree to blossom and bear fruit in the spring, as early as February. The apostle Paul calls Christ the “firstfruits” because Jesus was the first to rise from the dead to everlasting life, and because of His resurrection all believers will also be raised (1 Corinthians 15:20–23; Romans 8:23).

God used Aaron’s rod as a sign to the Israelites of his unique priesthood. At one time, when Aaron’s priesthood was being challenged, God caused Aaron’s rod to bud and grow ripe almonds overnight; this miracle reaffirmed that the privilege of being chosen as High Priest only came through God’s appointment (Numbers 16:3;17:10). This was a “shadow of things to come” experience that pointed to Jesus, our God-ordained, life-giving High Priest forever (Hebrews 7:21).

In the tabernacle, the lampstand was to be placed in the first section, called the Holy Place (Hebrews 9:2). The lamp was to be tended by Aaron and his sons so that its light never went out. The lampstand was to give forth light day and night (Exodus 27:20–21). The lampstand’s being the only source of light points directly to Christ as being the light of the world (John 8:12; 9:5). Jesus is the “true light that gives light to everyone” (John 1:9) and the only way anyone can come to the Father (John 14:6).

Jesus also calls His church the “light of the world” (Matthew 5:14), not of their own doing but because Christ is abiding in the church (John 1:4–5). A Christian who is shining with the light of Christ will live a godly life (1 Peter 2:9). Scripture is overflowing with references that compare and contrast light and darkness, believer and unbeliever, right up through the book of Revelation. In Revelation 1:20 Christ says the “seven lampstands are the seven churches.” The churches of Christ are to walk in the light of God (1 John 1:7) and spread the light of the gospel so that all people will glorify God (Matthew 5:16).

There is other symbolism in the lampstand: it was made of one piece, as Christ is one with His church (Colossians 1:8); the six branches (6 being the number of man) plus the main shaft equals seven lights (7 being the number of completion)—man is only complete in Christ (John 15:5).

The most important thing to note about the lampstand is that it points to Christ, as do all the elements of the tabernacle. The Bible is from beginning to end a testimony about Christ and God’s merciful plan of redemption. Praise the Lord, He has taken His children out of the darkness and into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

Bible Teaching of the Day

The spiritual person judges all things with the Help of the Truth

“The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one” (1 Corinthians 2:15, ESV). Earlier in the chapter, Paul contrasts the world’s wisdom with the wisdom of God, revealing that true wisdom comes from the Spirit: “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God” (1 Corinthians 2:12, ESV). The spiritual man, therefore, is equipped with divine wisdom, enabling him to judge all things accurately. He can see beyond appearances and understand the true nature of reality.

When Paul says, “The spiritual man judges all things,” he does not suggest that the spiritual person is judgmental or critical in the worldly sense. Rather, this judgment is the ability to discern spiritual truths and to distinguish between what is of God and what is not. Hebrews 5:14 speaks of mature believers who have their “powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil” (ESV). The spiritual man possesses the maturity and spiritual insight to evaluate situations, teachings, and behaviors according to the standards of God’s Word.

The fact that the spiritual man “judges all things” also implies that the opinions or judgments of others do not sway him. In the same verse, Paul notes that the spiritual person “is himself to be judged by no one” (1 Corinthians 2:15, ESV). So, the spiritual man exercises discernment with the Spirit as his guide, and human approval or condemnation is irrelevant.

There is a responsibility that comes with spiritual discernment. The spiritual man, as he judges all things, lives according to the wisdom and insight the Spirit gives. The judgments he makes align with God’s will. Paul’s prayer for believers is that their “love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that [they] may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ” (Philippians 1:9–10, ESV). The spiritual man judges all things for the sake of living a life that reflects the holiness and righteousness of God.

The larger context of 1 Corinthians 2—3 contrasts the spiritual man with the natural man. Paul explains that there are four kinds of people: the natural man (1 Corinthians 2:14), the spiritual man (1 Corinthians 2:15), infants in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:1), and the fleshly person (1 Corinthians 3:3).

The natural man will not receive or accept the things of God, because he considers them to be foolishness (1 Corinthians 2:14). While the natural man can have a factual understanding of the words he hears, he can’t judge them accurately because those judgments are spiritual in nature.

In contrast, the spiritual man judges all things (1 Corinthians 2:15). That is, he is able to discern or evaluate properly the things of God because they are spiritually perceived. The ingredient the natural man is missing—and the spiritual man has—is the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). The mature believer in Christ is the spiritual man, made alive and possessing a new way of thinking. The spiritual man judges all things because he now has the mind of Christ. The natural man perceives the things of God to be foolishness and refuses to have the thinking of Christ.

Infants in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:1) are those who are newly born again. They have just come to know Christ and are only now beginning to learn about the things of God. Consequently, they might look like a fleshly person at times, not utilizing the mind of Christ in their own thinking. While the infant has been newly born and has a new spirit, he has not yet learned to judge all things or to use the thinking of Christ that now belongs to him.

The fleshly person (1 Corinthians 3:3) often acts like an infant, only without the built-in excuse. Infants are expected to behave like infants because that is what they are. The fleshly person, or carnal person, has not grown as he should have. He should have moved on past infancy and grown to maturity, but his growth has been stunted.

Paul chastises the Corinthians because they are thinking and behaving like fleshly people (1 Corinthians 3:3) when they should be thinking like the spiritual man who judges or discerns all things. Their immaturity was inexcusable and showed up in their thinking and behavior. They were going beyond what was written in Scripture, becoming arrogant and judging wrongly (1 Corinthians 4:6). They were judging so poorly that they were actually approving immorality (1 Corinthians 5:1–2).

The spiritual man judges all things, and he is misunderstood by the natural man. Those without the Spirit cannot appreciate or fully comprehend the spiritual man’s motives, worldview, or character. The spiritual man has the mind or the thinking of Christ, and that is a mystery to those who do not know Christ.

When we believe in Jesus, we are born again and can now think as God has designed us to think. We should move past the immaturities of infancy and press on to maturity. We ought to think and act like spiritual people because that is what we are. As Paul put it elsewhere, we should walk in a manner worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1). We should no longer walk like fleshly people, focusing on the desires of our flesh. As we walk in the Spirit, we grow in our ability to judge everything according to God’s truth.

Today’s Devotional

The Work of Christ

The apostle Paul repeatedly underscores the person and work of Jesus Christ in his letter to the Colossians. Concluding a section of teaching devoted to maintaining a holy lifestyle and keeping unity within the church (Colossians 3:12–17), Paul urges believers to “let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts” (verse 15, ESV) and “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (verse 16, ESV).

In this passage, Paul introduces the unique phrase word of Christ (it occurs only here) rather than his earlier usage of “word of God” (see Colossians 1:25). Bible scholars are split into three camps regarding the meaning of word of Christ in Colossians 3:16. Some, such as Warren Wiersbe, interpret the expression to mean the Word of God: “The Word will transform our lives if we will but permit it to ‘dwell’ in us richly. The word dwell means ‘to feel at home.’ If we have experienced the grace and the peace of Christ, then the Word of Christ will feel at home in our hearts. We will discover how rich the Word is with spiritual treasures that give value to our lives” (The Bible Exposition Commentary, Vol. 2, Victor Books, 1996, p. 139–140).

Others believe the word of Christ refers to the actual words that Jesus Christ uttered—His teachings and messages that came directly from His mouth or were spoken by the Spirit of Christ. A third camp proposes that the word of Christ denotes the message about Jesus Christ—“the word of the truth, the gospel” (Colossians 1:5; Ephesians 1:13 ESV), “the message of the gospel” (Acts 15:7), or “the word of the Lord” (see 1 Thessalonians 1:8; 2 Thessalonians 3:1; Acts 8:25, ESV).

None of these interpretations conflict with the others. The words that Jesus, God the Son, spoke were given to Him by God the Father. Jesus told His disciples, “And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me” (John 14:24, NLT). Jesus and the Father are one (John 10:30; 17:11); therefore, the word of Christ is the Word of God. Likewise, the message of the gospel is the Word of God (Mark 1:14; 1 Peter 1:25).

Earlier in his greeting, Paul testified that “the word of the truth” or “the gospel,” which the Colossians had received, was “bearing fruit and increasing” since the day they first heard and understood “the grace of God in truth” (Colossians 1:5–6, ESV). Holiness and unity, both individually and in the body of Christ, are cultivated when we let the word of Christ make its home in us—when we give the truth of God’s Word ample, comfortable space in our hearts and lives through teachings and Bible study, counseling one another with its wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16), and meditating on it day and night (Psalm 1:1–2).

Another way we might understand the word of Christ is as the sum of Christian doctrine, or the gospel in its broadest sense as presented by Jesus Christ and the Spirit of Christ. Paul clarified, “I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin” (Galatians 1:11; see also Hebrews 2:3; 1 Corinthians 7:10). The gospel Paul preached was the word of Christ delivered by the Spirit of Christ.

God’s Word is meant to permeate our lives so profoundly that it takes up permanent residence. This abiding infilling is made possible through the indwelling Holy Spirit, who reminds us of everything Jesus said and did (John 14:26; 16:13). As we let the word of Christ dwell in us richly and are filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18–20), we become living representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ for God’s glory in whatever we say and do (see Colossians 3:17, 23; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Romans 8:11; 2 Corinthians 6:16). The life of a born-again believer, fully submitted to God and occupied by Christ, “will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God . . . and that word is the Good News that was preached to you” (1 Peter 1:23–25, NLT).

Stampkarre:

Bumper Cars:

Life is a lot like the “bumper cars” at an amusement park. You get in your car and know full well that you are going to get bumped – you just don’t know how hard. And when you get bumped, you slam on the gas and chase after the person who bumped you, hoping that you can bump him harder than he bumped you.

This may be a very comical strategy for bumper cars, but it is a bad strategy for real life. If you get bumped in life, it will not help to fight back, it will only make things worse and everyone will suffer.

Jesus gave us a better strategy: Forgive those who bumped you. Like Peter, we may wonder how many times we should forgive. When Peter asked Jesus if we should forgive even seven times, He answered. Even seventy times seven ( Matt 18:21,22 ). In other words, there is no limit to forgiveness. We should always be willing to forgive. Why? In the parable of the master who forgave the trespassers, Jesus explained that we forgive, not because the trespassers deserve forgiveness, but because we ourselves have been forgiven. “Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you” (vv. 32,33).
Since we are also among those who have been forgiven much by the Lord, let us stop the harm that is being done, and forgive one another.

Forgiveness is God’s grace working through us.

Vandag = Isebel
Wie was Isebel?

Koningin Isebel was dominant, meedoënloos en gewelddadig.

Isebel is ‘n waarskuwende voorbeeld. Sy was so moreel korrup en gewetenloos dat haar naam ‘n simbool geword het vir ‘n skaamtelose, immorele en ongebreidelde vrou.

Women in the Bible—What Can We Learn From Them?

Today = Jezebel
Who was Jezebel?
She was the wife of Israelite King Ahab. She was a non-Israelite and did not worship Jehovah. Instead, she worshipped the Canaanite god Baal.

What did she do? Queen Jezebel was domineering, ruthless, and violent. She promoted Baal worship and the sexual immorality associated with it. At the same time, she tried to eliminate the worship of the true God, Jehovah.—1 Kings 18:4, 13; 19:1-3.

Jezebel resorted to lies and murder to satisfy her selfish whims. (1 Kings 21:8-16) As God had foretold, she died violently and did not receive a burial.—1 Kings 21:23; 2 Kings 9:10, 32-37.

What can we learn from Jezebel? Jezebel is a warning example. She was so morally corrupt and unscrupulous that her name has become a symbol for a shameless, immoral, and unrestrained woman.

Things aren’t always what they seem, right? Fake news, photoshopped images, and altered videos are becoming normal. Sometimes we have to fact-check and investigate before we see the truth. The same can be true spiritually. There is so much God reveals about His kingdom, but there’s something we must do before we’re truly able to see. Watch today’s video to learn the power of believing. and later our sermon today from Dr. Charles Stanley (Looking Deeper Into The Will of God) – God’s sovereignty over the affairs of earth is a reassuring reality. Yet it is so easy to feel baffled by the perplexities of daily living when we assume the responsibility for every decision and concern. Our heavenly Father never meant for us to bear these burdens on our own. In this message, Dr. Stanley guides us through verses establishing God’s authority. The same influence over global matters also reaches down into our everyday lives, expressing itself through God’s predestined, moral, and desired will. INTRODUCTION TO THE GOSPEL ARTISTS

MEET :  Joey & Rory

Joey + Rory was an American country and bluegrass duo composed of singer-songwriters Rory Feek (born April 25, 1965) and Joey Feek (September 9, 1975 – March 4, 2016), who were husband and wife. Both members of the duo were vocalists and songwriters, with Rory also playing acoustic guitar. Rory Lee Feek had written singles for other artists prior to the duo’s foundation. The duo was the third-place finalist on CMT’s competition Can You Duet in 2008. The duo recorded eight studio albums for Vanguard Records and Gaither Music Group and charted three singles on Hot Country Songs.

History
Before the duo’s foundation, Rory Lee Feek worked as a songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee, and continued to work as a songwriter as a member of Joey + Rory. Songs he wrote for other artists include Clay Walker’s Top Five hit “The Chain of Love”, Blake Shelton’s Number One hit “Some Beach”, Easton Corbin’s “A Little More Country Than That”, Blaine Larsen’s 2005 hit, “How Do You Get That Lonely”, and Jimmy Wayne’s 2008 single “I Will”. Rory also founded the independent label Giantslayer Records in 2004, on which Joey recorded a solo album entitled Strong Enough to Cry in 2005. This album was released in CD format and digital download in 2006.Rory also recorded a solo album on Giantslayer Records, titled My Ol’ Man, which he made available only as a download.

Joey + Rory performed on the CMT competition Can You Duet in 2008, in which they were third-place finalists. Shortly after the competition, they were signed to the independent label Sugar Hill Records. They returned to the Can You Duet stage to perform “Cheater, Cheater” on “Original Song Night” for the series’ second season, which aired on July 25, 2009.

2008–2009: The Life of a Song
The duo’s debut album, The Life of a Song, was released on October 28, 2008, on Sugar Hill Records. The album debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, and No. 61 on the all-genre Billboard 200. Its lead-off single, “Cheater, Cheater”, was originally recorded by the duo Bomshel. Kristy Osmonson, one-half of that duo, co-wrote the song with the Feeks and Wynn Varble. Bomshel’s version was released as a single in early 2008, although it did not chart. Joey + Rory’s version was released in September 2008, featuring a music video that included a cameo from Naomi Judd, who had been a judge on Can You Duet. Joey + Rory’s version peaked at No. 30 on the country music charts in early 2009. The duo has also appeared in television commercials for the online retailer Overstock.com in late 2008. In February 2009, the duo was nominated for the Academy of Country Music Awards Top Vocal Duo. Although a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” was originally to have been released as the second single, it was withdrawn after two weeks, and replaced in March 2009 with “Play the Song”, which failed to chart. The album’s third single, “To Say Goodbye”, was released to radio on July 27, 2009, debuting at number 54 as Billboard Magazine’s “Hot Shot Debut” on the “Hot Country Songs” chart.

Joey + Rory released their first holiday single, the Carl Jackson-produced “It’s Christmas Time,” on November 16, 2009, to country radio and November 24, 2009, to digital retailers. The single was released in partnership with CMT One Country, which donated a portion of proceeds from the single to various charities (including The Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee).Additionally, Rory Feek, along with Tim Johnson, created the Song Trust, under which an album of Christmas songs performed by children, titled Merry Kidsmas, was released.

2010–2011: Album Number Two

Joey + Rory (2010)
Joey + Rory announced on October 15, 2009, that they were in the studio working on the follow-up album to The Life of a Song. The album, titled Album Number Two, was announced in January 2010 and released on September 14, 2010. The lead-off single, “This Song’s for You”, was released to radio in July 2010; originally “That’s Important to Me” had been chosen, but the single choice was changed. The music video for “This Song’s for You” was directed by Darren Doane and was released in August 2010. “That’s Important to Me” was released as the album’s second single in October 2010. It debuted at number 58 on the Hot Country Songs chart for the week ending February 12, 2011.

On March 16, 2010, it was announced that the duo were the winners of the 2010 Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Vocal Duo, and would compete alongside Luke Bryan and Gloriana for the Top New Artist award. Joey + Rory performed new songs from their upcoming album, were interviewed, and received their award on the GAC special “ACM Top New Artists” on April 1, 2010.

2013–2016: Final recordings
Joey + Rory announced on the red carpet of the ACM Awards that the duo had recorded their first album of gospel music. Joey Feek told Billboard that “It’s kind of an inspirational album, of old gospel songs that I grew up singing and listening to my mom sing…. It’s an album I’ve wanted to do for a long, long time.” The album, Inspired: Songs of Faith & Family, was released on July 16, 2013, via Gaither Music Group. It debuted at number 166 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 3,000, while also peaking at number 31 on the Top Country Albums chart and at number 6 on the Top Christian Albums chart.

After the release of their Gospel album, Joey + Rory announced that they would be releasing their fifth studio album, Made to Last, in late 2013 via their own Farmhouse Recordings record label (their first self-released project). Made to Last was released on October 8, 2013, and debuted at No. 44 on the Top Country Albums chart. Their sixth studio album, Country Classics: A Tapestry of Our Musical Heritage, was released exclusively to Cracker Barrel in May 2014, with a wide release following on October 14, 2014. Their second project on Gaither Music Group, the record consists of cover versions of classic country songs.

Hymns That Are Important to Us, the duo’s seventh and final studio album, was released on February 12, 2016, via Gaither Music Group. The set, which was a “dream project” for Joey Feek, consists of twelve covers of Christian hymns, plus a reprise of “When I’m Gone,” which was first featured on the duo’s His and Hers album in 2012. Some proceeds of the album’s deluxe edition will go towards the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation, a charity selected by Joey Feek in honor of her daughter’s friend who has Loeys-Dietz syndrome. Hymns That Are Important to Us debuted at the top of the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top Christian Albums charts, with first week sales of 68,000 copies, making it their highest-charting release and the duo’s best sales week ever.

Rory Feek wrote and produced a film, Josephine, which was set in the American Civil War and included the couple’s song of the same name. .It was shot at the Nathan Bedford Forrest Boyhood Home, the childhood home of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest owned by the Sons of Confederate Veterans in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. The film later debuted at the Nashville Film Festival in summer 2016.

Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in late 2015 and died of the disease in March 2016.

Bible Prophecy in the News

The 7 Year Peace agreement of the Antichrist ? or something Else ?

Abraham Accords – Could This Be The Future Covenant Confirmed By The Antichrist?

In a rapidly shifting Middle East, a seismic announcement may be on the horizon. Senior Israeli officials, backed by confirmations from U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, suggest that several unexpected nations are preparing to join the Abraham Accords. But for students of Bible prophecy, this development raises weightier questions than mere geopolitics.

In a rapidly shifting Middle East, a seismic announcement may be on the horizon. Senior Israeli officials, backed by confirmations from U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, suggest that several unexpected nations are preparing to join the Abraham Accords.

Some of these, such as Syria and Lebanon, have been traditional enemies of Israel for decades. Now, under growing U.S. pressure and amid dramatic regional realignments, these nations may soon take historic steps toward peace and normalization.

But for students of Bible prophecy, this development raises weightier questions than mere geopolitics. Could this unprecedented alignment between Israel and its neighbors represent the very covenant that the prophet Daniel warned about? Are we witnessing the early scaffolding of a peace deal that will one day be confirmed by the Antichrist himself?

A New Chapter in Middle East Diplomacy

The potential expansion of the Abraham Accords could represent the most dramatic diplomatic breakthrough in modern Middle Eastern history. Multiple reports now indicate that the US is applying pressure to have the war in Gaza end in a matter of weeks, with Egypt, the UAE, and two other Arab nations assuming administrative control over Gaza. Hamas will be dismantled and exiled. Hostages will be released. Some Gazans will be granted asylum abroad.

And this is only the beginning. According to high-level sources, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and perhaps even Iraq may join the Abraham Accords. In exchange, Israel is expected to express conditional openness to a two-state solution–so long as the Palestinian Authority undergoes sweeping reforms. Meanwhile, the United States will offer recognition of limited Israeli sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria.

These dramatic moves follow a regional power shift catalyzed by Iran’s defeat and the crumbling of its regional influence. As Hussain Abdul-Hussain writes in the New York Post, “Without Iran breathing down their necks, its neighbors can focus on their own national interests. That means peace with Israel.”

Even more stunning are billboards now appearing in Tel Aviv that promote a “New Middle East” and the so-called “Abraham Shield Plan.” These ads feature Donald Trump alongside leaders of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and UAE–but also of Lebanon, Qatar, and Syria. These latter nations have historically been hostile toward Israel. But now, peace may be not just possible, but imminent.

Daniel’s Prophecy and the Confirmed Covenant

For those who follow biblical prophecy, the idea of many nations coming together in a peace agreement with Israel immediately brings Daniel 9:27 to mind:

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”

Bible prophecy scholars have long interpreted this as a reference to a future world leader–the Antichrist–who will not necessarily create a new peace treaty, but confirm an existing one. That word “confirm” implies something already in existence, perhaps partial or tentative, that this leader enforces or finalizes with authority.

Notably, Daniel’s prophecy says this will be a covenant “with many.” That language now rings with chilling familiarity. The Abraham Accords were originally signed by Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain in 2020, and later joined by Morocco and Sudan. But the current rumors speak of a larger expansion–possibly involving several nations.

Could we be seeing the formation of the very structure that the Antichrist will one day “confirm”?

Many scholars believe that the Antichrist will arise not from Israel, but from a foreign power represented by the former Roman Empire–possibly Europe or even a global coalition. His external status is critical: he will be seen as a neutral party, able to guarantee peace and security to both Israel and its enemies. But Daniel warns that his promises are deceitful. Halfway through the seven-year period–the “week”–he will break his word, desecrate the Jewish temple, and unleash persecution.

This figure, who rides in initially as a savior on a white horse (Revelation 6:2), will be revealed as a destroyer.

A Deceptive Peace

As we watch nations line up for peace, we must remember that biblical peace is not merely the absence of war–it is the presence of truth, righteousness, and the Messiah Himself. The Antichrist’s peace will be counterfeit. It will be seductive. It will offer the world what it craves: safety, prosperity, unity–but at the price of truth and ultimately, at the cost of Israel’s trust.

The Abraham Accords may very well be a tremendous good in the present. Who could argue against hostages being freed, Gaza being liberated from Hamas, and Arab nations coming together to embrace Israel? But we are warned in Scripture that even good beginnings can be used by evil ends.

Rev 9 – Stinging Locusts

The Rise Of The Mosquito Drone: Warfare Just Got Personal

When most people think of drones, they imagine the large, missile-laden aircraft patrolling the skies over Ukraine or buzzing across the Middle East. China recently unveiled a mosquito-sized drone so small it could rest on a fingernail. But this is no harmless bug. This is a covert surveillance device engineered to spy, track, and possibly assassinate. Welcome to the age of miniaturized warfare.

When most people think of drones, they imagine the large, missile-laden aircraft patrolling the skies over Ukraine or buzzing across the Middle East. These massive, high-altitude sentinels–like the American MQ-9 Reaper or the Israeli Hermes 900–have become symbols of modern warfare: remote, precise, and often deadly. But a far more disturbing revolution in drone technology is now taking shape–not in the skies, but in our homes, offices, and even pockets.

China recently unveiled a mosquito-sized drone so small it could rest on a fingernail. It looks terrifyingly similar to the real insect: spindly legs, tiny wings, and a dark body. But this is no harmless bug. This is a covert surveillance device engineered to spy, track, and possibly assassinate. Welcome to the age of miniaturized warfare.

A Shrinking Threat

Early drone technology was massive. The U.S. military’s first drones in the 1990s, like the RQ-1 Predator, were over 27 feet long with a wingspan of 55 feet. Designed for long-endurance surveillance and targeted strikes, they dominated open-air battlefields. But their size made them easy to spot–and impossible to use in civilian or indoor spaces.

Fast-forward three decades, and engineers are creating drones the size of hummingbirds, dragonflies, and now mosquitoes. China’s new robo-sting device is perhaps the most chilling to date. It is so small and silent, it could fly into a living room unnoticed, eavesdrop on private conversations, and exit without a trace. The implications for espionage, intelligence gathering, and state surveillance are staggering.

Insect Drones Aren’t Science Fiction Anymore

China isn’t the only country pushing this boundary. The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has long been developing “micro air vehicles” (MAVs) that mimic insects. One prototype from Harvard’s Wyss Institute, called the RoboBee, weighs less than a paperclip and flaps its wings 120 times per second. Researchers have explored swarming behaviors, suggesting future drones may fly in coordinated flocks–overwhelming defenses by sheer volume.

Israel has also been experimenting with micro drones for urban combat, intelligence, and anti-terror missions. Some models are equipped with tiny cameras, microphones, and facial recognition software. In theory, a swarm of such devices could be released into a hostile neighborhood and identify targets within minutes.

But these insect-like drones aren’t limited to surveillance. As their sophistication grows, so do concerns about weaponization. Could a micro drone carry a tiny dose of poison or explosives to assassinate a political target? It’s not far-fetched. In fact, military analysts have coined the term “murder drones” to describe weaponized UAVs that operate autonomously.

From Battlefields to Living Rooms

The dangers posed by micro drones go beyond wartime scenarios. These devices could be used by authoritarian regimes to suppress dissent, track political opponents, or spy on journalists. Imagine living in a world where any insect buzzing near your window might be a spy–or worse. The line between civilian and combat zones would disappear. Privacy, already under assault by digital surveillance, could be annihilated altogether.

Sam Bresnick, a fellow at Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology, warns, “These drones could be used to track individuals or listen in on conversations.” And with AI integration, they might not even need a human operator to decide who to follow or what data to capture.

An Urgent Need for Regulation

As the miniaturization of drone technology accelerates, the world faces an urgent ethical and legislative crisis. Current international laws governing drones were written for conventional UAVs, not insect-sized assassins. Without clear global norms, the risk of abuse is immense.

Governments must act swiftly to set boundaries for drone deployment–especially in civilian environments. Transparency, accountability, and strict limitations on their use in peacetime must be established before the technology becomes too widespread to control.

A Buzzing Warning

The future of drones is not just about the skies–it’s about your kitchen, your office, your bedroom. If drone warfare once meant faceless attacks from 10,000 feet, the next phase could mean silent invasions by something that fits in the palm of your hand.

Today it’s a mosquito-shaped drone in China. Tomorrow, it could be one hovering inches from your ear.

United Methodist Church Leads Worship With F-Bomb LGBTQ Anthem

No, this isn’t satire. This actually happened. Zao MKE Church-an official United Methodist congregation-recently led its Sunday worship with a profane, self-glorifying anthem titled, “I’m F….. Gay.”

Gog and Magog Update

Israel, US monitoring Iran and ready to renew strikes if necessary, defense minister says Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz speaks to the press at a site hit by an Israeli missile in the central city of Holon.

Katz told lawmakers that Israeli and U.S. forces are actively monitoring multiple components of Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs and are prepared to act if any rebuilding begins.

Defense Minister Israel Katz told lawmakers on Tuesday evening that Israel and the United States are prepared to resume strikes on Iran if the regime attempts to rebuild its nuclear or ballistic missile programs, according to two officials familiar with the briefing.

Katz delivered the classified update to members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv.

The meeting came one day after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire ended a 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.

Both countries, according to Katz, believe diplomacy with Tehran is unlikely to succeed and are prepared to enforce the ceasefire through coordinated military pressure if Iran moves to reconstitute its strategic capabilities.

Declassified Hamas Letter Reveals Astonishing Religious Fanaticism Behind Oct. 7

The document provides rare insight into the religious ideology driving Hamas. Unlike secular Palestinian nationalist groups, Hamas views the conflict with Israel through an explicitly Islamic lens, seeing the destruction of the Jewish state as a religious obligation and rejects any permanent peace with Israel on theological grounds.

Introduction to the Bible – Bible Summary

The following are of importance.
1.1 A Good Quality Bible is a Must
It is important to have a Bible of good quality, preferably the new King Kames
Version. We propose a Bible with a Hard Cover made from Leather.
1.2 New Translations.
The modern day Bibles are easy to use as study Bibles. The popular Bibles in use
by most of the churches are the NKJV, the NIV, Living Bible and the Amplified
Bible. It is also suggested that students buy a good concordance as a reference
guide.
1.3 Concordance
A Concordance is a Bible Reference Book. In actual fact it is a “must have” for
Bible Students. There are also various concordances on the market, but the
following books are most commonly used. “Strong’s, Young’s, Crudence, Vines of
Nave”. The Concordance is handy in that it refers to verses with the same topics,
statements and even to compare the words with the original Hebrew and Greek
words.
Students can also acquire E-SWORD, which is a CD that contains an electronic
version of all the popular Bibles. It even has got a concordance option to compare
verses and topics. What makes it popular is that one can compare the Same Verse
with ail other Bibles at the same time on one page. The E-Sword makes it easy to
search for any scripture in any Bible. You can even Copy & Print your inquiries.
1.4 Note Book
It is suggested that students buy a note book to capture verses and messages from
God. It is also good to make notes on sermons attended in order to compare
messages and to dot down revelations.
2.0 Prepare for Bible Study
Bible study is very important in any person’s life, especially in the life of the re born
Christian. The Bible is the Word of God and is full of Spiritual Promises and Revelations,
which can only be detected by the Holy Spirit in us. The Unredeemed find it difficult to
understand or to apply in the everyday life.
2.1 To be Born Again (Redeemed)
Bible students must be Reborn Christians and must have a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Only the Saved will
understand the Full Meaning of the Scriptures.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man
which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
2.2 Biblical Inspirations.
Bible students should be fully aware to as to who their God is. We have compiled the
“God Head” as a revelation document to assist students to understand what God
and The Bible is all about. The Bible must talk to you and you must talk to God,
Prey, Prey and Prey for God’s revelations in your life so that you can understand
the scriptures. This is important as the Bible and Holy Spirit will reveal
certain things to you that you cannot otherwise understand. Submit to the
Holy Spirit and you will receive revelations.
2.3 Love your Bible
Learn to love the Bible and it will come alive.
2.4 Pray for Insight
Pray for Insight into the scriptures and the revelations will come as well.
The emphasis is to obtain a “Teachable Spirit”
2.5 Obedience
Students must abide the spirit of God. Satan did not obey the Spirit of God and was
kicked out of heaven.
2.6 Bible studies must become a Life Style
Bible study should become a Life Style and not a practice
3.0 The advantages of Bible Study
To study the Bible is not only advantages to learn the “Word” of God, but it will also teach
you to discover the God of the word. Listed below are some of the advantages in stored
for us:
3.1 Personal Faith
You will find that your faith grows as you read and study the Bible. God is the
source of the Bible and by studying the Bible we discover Him and all His
promises to His people. God is the God of the Word and the Bible is the
written Word of God.
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
3.2 Strive to live a Holy Life
The great late Moody ones said “The Bible keeps you away from sin and sin
keep you away from the Bible” Therefore we must strive to live a Holy Life for
only those who is pure of heart will enter the kingdom of God.
3.3 Prepare to become a Disciple of God.
It is virtually impossible to become a disciple of God if one does not know the
word of God and how to apply it. We must take note that it is the Word of God that
saves souls and not our arguments or preaching. The Holy Spirit of God does the
word. Al that we have to do is to use the Lords Name, which is off course Jesus, and
He will do the rest. The Bible is the Spiritual Sword of God.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God:
3.4 The Power of the Word of God
You will receive power from God when you minister the word of God.
It is however important to have a healthy prayer life and a relationship with God to
enhance the trust in the Holy Spirit. The Bible is our guide to empower and to
exhort people in a Godly manner.
3.5 Knowledge
There is no greater source than the Bible to expand your knowledge in Theology.
Bible study expand your knowledge and wisdom to deal with the Word of God and
the God of the Word
3.6 Bible Study
The advantage of Bible study will produce the following results:
3.6.1. It prevents us from sinning against God.
Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against
thee.
3.6.2. It protects us against false doctrines
Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter
in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to
draw away disciples after them.
Act 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I
ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Act 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his
grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all
them which are sanctified.
3.6.3. Bible Study Brings Forth Joy
Jer 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto
me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD
God of hosts.
3.6.4. It brings peace to the inner being.
Exo 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Isa 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my
kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be
removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
3.6.5 Bible Reveals Enemies.
1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is
antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
3.6.6 Bible Study Enhances our Prayer Life
Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will,
and it shall be done unto you.

unto the simple.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all
good works.

gedruk is.
(karton) gemaak is.
1.2 Nuwe vertalings
‘n Bybel wat in moderne taal geskryf is, is ‘n uitstaande bate. Daar is verskeie moderne
As studente
“Strongs, Youngs, Crudence, Vines of Nave”.
2.1 Wedergeboorte
Bybel studente moet verkieslik ‘n wedergebore gelowige wees.
Woord soveel beter verstaan.

is belangrik.
“Obtain a teachable spirit”
2.5 Gehoorsaamheid
Vordering in

3.5 Kennis
vreugde en vrolikheid vir my hart; want u Naam is oor my uitgeroep, HERE, God
van die leërskare!
3.6.4
Bybelstudie bring vrede

is?
Joh 15:7 “As julle in My bly en my woorde in julle, sal julle vra net wat julle wil
hê, en julle sal dit verkry.
3.6.7 Bybelstudie bring wysheid
Psalm 119:98 “U gebooie maak my wyser as my vyande, want hulle is myne vir ewig”.
