God’s Timing
The first thing we need to understand about God’s timing is that it is perfect, just as all of God’s ways are perfect (Psalm 18:30; Galatians 4:4). God’s timing is never early, and it’s never been late. In fact, from before our birth until the moment we take our last earthly breath, our sovereign God is accomplishing His divine purposes in our lifetimes. He is in complete control of everything and everyone from everlasting to everlasting. No event in history has put so much as a wrinkle in the timing of God’s eternal plan, which He designed before the foundation of the world.
One would think, then, that by understanding the sovereignty of our Creator, patience and waiting would come a little more easily. Unfortunately, however, that’s not always the case. Our human nature can make waiting for God’s perfect timing a difficult thing to do. In fact, in the hustle and bustle of our frenzied lives, we often find it difficult to wait for anything or anyone. We want what we want now. And with our modern technological advances, we’re often able to get what we want now. As a result, we are not only losing our patience, but also finding it increasingly difficult to discern God’s timing.
Patience is a spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22), and Scripture makes it clear that God is pleased with us when we display this virtue: “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him” (Psalm 37:7), for God is good to those who wait for Him (Lamentations 3:25). And our patience often reveals the degree of trust we have in God’s timing. We must remember that God operates according to His perfect and foreordained eternal schedule, not ours. We should take great comfort in knowing that, when we wait on the LORD, we receive divine energy and strength: “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31). The psalmist reiterates: “Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!” (Psalm 27:14).
Another key to understanding God’s timing is trust. In fact, our ability to wait on the Lord is largely related to how much we trust Him. When we trust in God with all of our heart, forgoing reliance on our own, often erroneous understanding of circumstances, He will indeed give us direction (Proverbs 3:5-6). “The LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts Him” (Psalm 32:10). To fully trust God, however, we need to know God. And the best way to know Him is through His Word. God’s divine energy is released in our lives through His inspired Word (1 Thessalonians 2:13). The work of God’s Word includes saving (Romans 10:17; 1 Peter 1:23), teaching and training (2 Timothy 3:16-17), guiding (Psalm 119:105), protecting (Psalm 119:114,117), strengthening (Psalm 119:28), and making us wise (Psalm 119:97-100). If we study and meditate on His Word daily, His timing will also become clear to us.
When we question God’s timing, it is often because we are looking for guidance or deliverance from a difficult situation. We can rest assured, however, that our heavenly Father knows exactly where we are in our lives at every moment. He either put us there or is allowing us to be there, all for His own perfect purpose. In fact, God often uses trials to strengthen our patience, allowing our Christian faith to mature and become complete (James 1:3-4). And we know that all things – including these difficult trials – work out for the good of those who love God (Romans 8:28). God does indeed hear the cries of His children and will answer those cries according to His perfect will and timing. “A righteous man may have many troubles; the LORD delivers him from them all” (Psalm 34:19). The plans God has for His children are good plans – to help us, not hurt us (Jeremiah 29:11).
(Psalm 27:14).

Bible Teaching of the Day
God’s Anger.
It would be foolish to ignore the passages in Scripture that talk about God’s anger. Yes, God does get angry; there are many examples in the Bible of this. He “displays his wrath every day” (Psalm 7:11).
However, we must not equate God’s anger with our own human experiences of that emotion. We must look again to the Bible. Ephesians 4:26–27 tells us it is possible to experience anger but not sin. As God cannot sin, we know that His anger is righteous, unlike the common experience of anger in ourselves. As James 1:20 says, “Human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”
The context of the verses of God getting angry reveals why He gets angry. God gets angry when there is a violation of His character. God is righteous, just, and holy, and none of these attributes can be compromised (Exodus 20:4–6; Isaiah 42:8). God was angry with the nation of Israel and with Israel’s kings every time they turned away from obeying Him (e.g., 1 Kings 11:9–10; 2 Kings 17:18). The wicked practices of the nations in Canaan, such as child sacrifice and sexual perversion, aroused God’s anger to the point He commanded Israel to completely destroy them—every man, woman, child, and animal—to remove wickedness from the land (Deuteronomy 7:1–6). Just as a parent becomes angry at anything that would hurt his children, so God’s anger is directed at that which would harm His people and their relationship with Him. “‘As surely as I live,’ declares the Sovereign LORD, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live’” (Ezekiel 33:11).
In the New Testament, Jesus got angry with the religious teachers and leaders of that day for using religion for their own gain and keeping people in bondage (John 2:13–16; Mark 3:4–5). Romans 1:18 tells us God’s anger, or wrath, comes against “the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness.” So God gets angry at the wickedness in people, and He opposes that wickedness in an effort to turn them from evil, that they may find true life and freedom in Him. Even in His anger, God’s motivation is love for people; to restore the relationship that sin destroyed.
While God must bring justice and retribution for sin, those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior are no longer under God’s wrath for sin. Why? Because Jesus experienced the full measure of the wrath of God on the cross so that we wouldn’t have to. This is what is meant by Jesus’ death being a “propitiation,” or satisfaction. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit” (Romans 8:1–4).

Today’s Devotional
How BIG is God ?
The question “how big is God?” pops up in two divergent contexts: serious philosophical discussions and children’s Sunday school. In the latter, the answer usually given is “bigger than you can imagine!”—setting up the follow-up question: “bigger than my house?!” In philosophy, particularly metaphysics, the question of God’s size is likely to take the form of discussions of the nature of reality, the existence of the supernatural, etc. Intellectuals may chuckle at the child who asks, “How big is God?” but the child could just as easily laugh at the philosopher’s confusion about reality.
In dealing with the issue of how big God is, we should first state that God is not made of “stuff”; therefore, He has no dimensions, and spatial descriptions do not apply to Him. God is not “made” at all but is preexistent, eternal, with no beginning and no end (Revelation 22:13). He is existence, and without Him nothing else can exist. God exists outside of and independent of His creation.
God is “spirit” (John 4:24) and as such has no physical or material form. This characteristic of God is difficult for us to understand. We have a spirit linked to a physical body and are closely tied to the material world. We naturally think in terms of length, depth, and height. We feel that, if we can measure something accurately, we can understand it better. So we invent measuring devices; we speak in terms of angstroms, inches, meters, miles, and light-years. But we run into a problem when we try to measure God; we find He is immaterial and therefore immeasurable. He is infinite in every way. God resists quantification and will not submit to our attempts to scrutinize Him, classify Him, and decipher Him.
How big is God? Very big. More than that, God is transcendent; He is so “other” that we can never fully understand Him. At the same time, we are made in His image, and He loves us (Genesis 1:27; John 3:16). He has communicated to us through His Word and His Son, Jesus. Whether the question of God’s bigness comes from a child in Sunday school or from a meta-physicist, the answer comes down to this: He is “big” enough to make the universe and “small” enough to know and love us.
Vandag se Bemoediging
Hoe GROOT is God?
– wat die opvolgvraag skep: “groter as my huis?!”
Hy is oneindig in elke opsig.
Hoe groot is God? Baie groot.

Iran Claims Major Intelligence Coup Against Israeli Nuclear Program

Iranian state media have reported that the country’s intelligence services have obtained a massive trove of sensitive Israeli documents related to nuclear facilities and strategic defense plans.
In reports broadcast Saturday on Iran’s state-run Press TV and echoed by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, Iranian operatives allegedly infiltrated and extracted “thousands of files” related to Israel’s nuclear projects and facilities.
“Although the operation to obtain the documents was carried out some time ago, the sheer volume of materials and the need to transport them safely into Iran necessitated a news blackout to ensure they reached the designated protected locations,” Press TV described the covert operation, citing unnamed sources.
While Iranian media have presented their intelligence claims as a major victory, several factors raise questions about the scope and significance of any documents obtained.
Iranian reports provide no specific details about the alleged documents, no evidence of their authenticity, and no demonstration that they contain genuinely sensitive nuclear information.
Any genuine document theft, if verified, would represent a reversal of fortunes for Israeli intelligence, which has previously scored major coups against Iran’s nuclear program.
In 2018, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli agents had seized a huge “archive” of Iranian documents showing Tehran had done more nuclear work than previously known.
Yemen’s al-Qaida branch leader threatens Trump, Musk and others

The leader of al-Qaida’s Yemen branch has threatened both U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk over the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip in his first video message since taking over the group last year.
The half-hour video message by Saad bin Atef al-Awlaki, which spread online early Saturday via supporters of al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, also included calls for lone-wolf terrorists to assassinate leaders in Egypt, Jordan, and the Gulf Arab states over the war in Gaza.
The video of al-Awlaki’s speech showed images of Trump and Musk, as well as U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of State Pete Hegseth. It also included images of logos of Musk’s businesses, including the electric carmaker Tesla.
“There are no red lines after what happened and is happening to our people in Gaza,” al-Awlaki said. “Reciprocity is legitimate.”

Introduction to the Bible – Bible Summary
Summary of the Book of
Philemon
Author: The author of the Book of Philemon was the apostle Paul (Philemon 1:1).
Date of Writing: The Book of Philemon was written in approximately A. D. 60.
Purpose of Writing: The letter to Philemon is the shortest of all Paul’s writings and
deals with the practice of slavery. The letter suggests that Paul was in prison at the time
of the writing. Philemon was a slave owner who also hosted a church in his home.
During the time of Paul’s ministry in Ephesus, Philemon had likely journeyed to the city,
heard Paul’s preaching and became a Christian. The slave Onesimus robbed his master,
Philemon, and ran away, making his way to Rome and to Paul. Onesimus was still the
property of Philemon, and Paul wrote to smooth the way for his return to his master.
Through Paul’s witnessing to him, Onesimus had become a Christian (Philemon 10) and
Paul wanted Philemon to accept Onesimus as a brother in Christ and not merely as a
slave.
Key Verses:
Philemon 6: “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a
full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.”
Philemon 16: “…no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is
very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a man and as a brother in the Lord.”
Philemon 18: “If he has done you any wrong or owes you anything, charge it to me.”
Brief Summary: Paul had warned slave owners that they had a responsibility towards
their slaves and showed slaves as responsible moral beings who were to fear God. In
Philemon, Paul did not condemn slavery, but he presented Onesimus as a Christian
brother instead of a slave. When an owner can refer to a slave as a brother, the slave has
reached a position in which the legal title of slave is meaningless. The early church did
not attack slavery directly but it laid the foundation for a new relationship between
owner and slave. Paul attempted to unite both Philemon and Onesimus with Christian
love so that emancipation would become necessary. Only after exposure to the light of
the gospel could the institution of slavery die.
Connections: Perhaps nowhere in the New Testament is the distinction between law
and grace so beautifully portrayed. Both Roman law and the Mosaic Law of the Old
Testament gave Philemon the right to punish a runaway slave who was considered
property. But the covenant of grace through the Lord Jesus allowed both master and
slave to fellowship in love on an equal basis in the body of Christ.
Practical Application: Employers, political leaders, corporation executives and parents
can follow the spirit of Paul’s teaching by treating Christian employees, co-workers and
family members as members of Christ’s Body. Christians in modern society must not
view helpers as stepping stones to help them achieve their ambitions but as Christian
brothers and sisters who must receive gracious treatment. In addition, all Christian
leaders must recognize that God holds them accountable for the treatment of those
who work for them, whether the helpers are Christians or not. They must eventually
answer to God for their actions (Colossians 4:1).
Inleiding tot die Bybel – Bybel Samevatting
Opsomming van die boek
Filemon
Here.”
Filemon 18 : “As hy jou onreg aangedoen het of jou iets verskuldig is, reken dit aan my.”
slaaf betekenisloos is.
genade so mooi uitgebeeld nie.
