Prayer Tips :

Jesus teaches more about prayer
John 17:1 These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Look up to God when praying.
Praise and worship God during prayer.
Pray for others.
Don’t pray for the World, pray for the release of the World.
Pray for family and friends.
We need to confirm the Sinful World hates us as Christian.
Pray – Keep us safe from Satan and his followers.
Pray – God please reveal yourself to us.
Paul confirms what Jesus teaches
Heb 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
God will answer your prayers, tears, pleadings when you come to Him in the name of Jesus Christ.

Gebedswenke:

20 Ek bid ook nie vir hulle alleen nie, maar ook vir die wat deur hulle woord in My sal glo;

Heb 5:7 wat in die dae van sy vlees, toe Hy gebede en smekinge met sterk geroep en trane geoffer het aan Hom wat Hom uit die dood kon red, en verhoor is deurdat hy gevrees het;

Bible Teaching of the Day

Concentrate on the Cross – Part 21

During the lifetime of Jesus, the holy temple in Jerusalem was the center of Jewish religious life. The temple was the place where animal sacrifices were carried out and worship according to the Law of Moses was followed faithfully. Hebrews 9:1-9 tells us that in the temple a veil separated the Holy of Holies—the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence—from the rest of the temple where men dwelt. This signified that man was separated from God by sin (Isaiah 59:1-2). Only the high priest was permitted to pass beyond this veil once each year (Exodus 30:10; Hebrews 9:7) to enter God’s presence for all of Israel and make atonement for their sins (Leviticus 16).EIL

Solomon’s temple was 30 cubits high (1 Kings 6:2), but Herod had increased the height to 40 cubits, according to the writings of Josephus, a first-century Jewish historian. There is uncertainty as to the exact measurement of a cubit, but it is safe to assume that this veil was somewhere near 60 feet high. An early Jewish tradition says that the veil was about four inches thick, but the Bible does not confirm that measurement. The book of Exodus teaches that this thick veil was fashioned from blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine twisted linen.

The size and thickness of the veil make the events occurring at the moment of Jesus’ death on the cross so much more momentous. “And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom” (Matthew 27:50-51a).

So, what do we make of this? What significance does this torn veil have for us today? Above all, the tearing of the veil at the moment of Jesus’ death dramatically symbolized that His sacrifice, the shedding of His own blood, was a sufficient atonement for sins. It signified that now the way into the Holy of Holies was open for all people, for all time, both Jew and Gentile.

When Jesus died, the veil was torn, and God moved out of that place never again to dwell in a temple made with human hands (Acts 17:24). God was through with that temple and its religious system, and the temple and Jerusalem were left “desolate” (destroyed by the Romans) in A.D. 70, just as Jesus prophesied in Luke 13:35. As long as the temple stood, it signified the continuation of the Old Covenant. Hebrews 9:8-9 refers to the age that was passing away as the new covenant was being established (Hebrews 8:13).

In a sense, the veil was symbolic of Christ Himself as the only way to the Father (John 14:6). This is indicated by the fact that the high priest had to enter the Holy of Holies through the veil. Now Christ is our superior High Priest, and as believers in His finished work, we partake of His better priesthood. We can now enter the Holy of Holies through Him. Hebrews 10:19-20 says, “We have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body.” Here we see the image of Jesus’ flesh being torn for us just as He was tearing the veil for us.

The profound significance of the tearing of the veil is explained in glorious detail in Hebrews. The things of the temple were shadows of things to come, and they all ultimately point us to Jesus Christ. He was the veil to the Holy of Holies, and through His death the faithful now have free access to God.

The veil in the temple was a constant reminder that sin renders humanity unfit for the presence of God. The fact that the sin offering was offered annually and countless other sacrifices repeated daily showed graphically that sin could not truly be atoned for or erased by mere animal sacrifices. Jesus Christ, through His death, has removed the barriers between God and man, and now we may approach Him with confidence and boldness (Hebrews 4:14-16).

Daily Devotional

CLOSER TO THE FATHER

Fanny Crosby wrote the song “Just a closer walk with Thee” The lyrics of verse one read.

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

I often pray or say that it is my desire to draw closer to the Lord or to dwell in His holy presence. But in all honesty, I have realized that this is not something I can do or achieve in my own strength.

But how can I draw closer to God, if I cannot do it on my own? Doesn’t the Word say that as we draw closer to God, God will draw closer to us?

The first thing we must realize is that it has always been God’s desire to walk with us. In Genesis 3:8 we read that Adam and Eve heard the Lord God as he walked in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God. In Jeremiah 29:14, the Lord also declared His willingness to be found.

It is also of utmost importance to know that God has made it possible for us to draw close to Him, through the death and resurrection of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ we now have access to the Father. (See Ephesians 2:18) Paul also affirms in Ephesians 3:12 that we can have boldness in Jesus and access with confidence through faith in Him.

Our walk with God begins when we acknowledge that we are sinners, repent of our sin, and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. To walk in closeness with God, however, we must walk out of darkness into the Light, for “God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. (1 John 1:5–10)

Let us walk in the Light, and let the Light shine in and through us. Let us live lives dedicated to the Lord, abstaining from all sin and unrighteousness. And so we will we also experience the closeness of God.

Vandag se Toewyding / Bemoediging

NADER AAN DIE VADER

Fanny Crosby het die liedjie geskryf “Just a closer walk with Thee” Die lirieke van vers een lees.

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Personal life
Paschal was born in Reidsville, North Carolina. Paschal grew up in a musically inclined Christian family; her father and his brothers played bluegrass instruments and sang in area churches as the Paschal Brothers. Paschal’s grandfather was a minister who served as an inspiration in her life as she attended his church growing up. As a teenager she, her sister, Kay, and a cousin formed their own gospel singing group called The Gospel Classics. Paschal started her professional career as a vocalist after graduating from high school.

In 1998, Paschal met John Lanier, a commercial airline pilot. They married in 1999 in Reidsville.

Paschal was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and took a year off from touring to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

In 2017, Paschal earned a master’s degree with honors in Accounting from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, as well as induction into the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society for collegiate schools of business.

Career
At eighteen, Paschal was hired for her first professional singing job, as the featured soprano with The LeFevres, an Atlanta-based family singing group. After two years, the group changed its name to The Rex Nelon Singers. She sang with the group from 1974 to 1981.

In 1982, she was invited to perform as a soloist for televangelist Jimmy Swaggart’s international crusades. During her five and a half years with Swaggart, Paschal appeared weekly before 100 million viewers and traveled the world singing at crusades. During this time, she performed for more people worldwide than any other female vocalist in any genre. Paschal also began her solo career, releasing her first album, titled I Give You Jesus, on Swaggart’s ministry label, Shiloh Records, in 1984.

In 1987, Paschal began touring full-time as a soloist. She signed with Word Records and began composing songs such as “Another Soldier’s Coming Home”, “God Will Make A Way”, “The Body and Blood”, and “If I’d Had My Way”. Shortly afterwards she was invited to tour with Bill and Gloria Gaither, and became a featured artist on the Gaither Homecoming Tour.

Paschal’s self-titled debut album with Word was nominated for a Dove Award for “Inspirational Album of the Year” in 1990. Her Simple Trust album featured her No. 1 inspirational radio hit “Take These Burdens”. Her single “Hide Me Sweet Rock of Ages” was No. 1 on The Singing News Top 80 Chart in August 2009. She has earned multiple Diamond Awards and numerous Grammy nominations, and she is consistently named among Gospel Music’s favorite soloists by the genre’s top trade magazines.

In 1998, Paschal performed her song “Another Soldier’s Coming Home”, written as a tribute to her grandfather, upon invitation for the National Memorial Service of First Lieutenant Michael Blassie, the first unknown soldier from the Vietnam War to be exhumed and positively identified.

In 2009, Paschal started a radio program focused on cancer awareness, Walking The Good Road, that aired on more than 30 stations in the U.S. and Canada. She also began the Annual Cancer Walk at Gospel Music’s premier weeklong festival NQC.

In October 2022, Paschal was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The event recognizes the musical legacy of the state’s greatest music makers.

Other work
Paschal served as the spokeswoman for an international Christian relief organization “Mission of Mercy”, founded by missionaries Mark and Huldah Buntain.

Paschal has written two books:

1997: The Good Road (Multnomah), a collection of her own writings and reflections on life, based on the biblical book of Jeremiah;
2008: Treasures of the Snow (Maplesong), which chronicles her triumphant battle with cancer and stories from three decades in gospel music. The title of the book is from a passage in the book of Job in which God asks Job if he has seen “the treasures of the snow.”
Paschal was a contributing writer to Homecoming Magazine with a monthly feature called “The Good Road”

The phrase “predictive programming” might sound like something straight out of a conspiracy theory blog, but beneath its surface lies a stark reality aligning closely with biblical prophecy.

When Fiction Predicts Reality: Preparing For The Coming Global System

Predictive Programming in Media: Preparing Hearts and Minds for the Beast System

The phrase “predictive programming” might sound like something straight out of a conspiracy theory blog, but beneath its surface lies a stark reality aligning closely with biblical prophecy. At its core, predictive programming refers to the intentional embedding of certain ideas and scenarios into popular culture through movies, television, and video games. The goal? Desensitization and gradual acceptance of concepts that, in a previous generation, would have seemed unimaginable or even abhorrent.

Desensitization through Entertainment

Movies and TV shows regularly depict a world united under a single global authority, often in the context of alien invasions, pandemics, or ecological disasters. Blockbusters like The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Elysium illustrate societies ruled by global elites or centralized governments that promise order at the cost of freedom. The message subtly implies that global governance could be humanity’s salvation. This echoes the forewarning of Revelation 13:7:

“It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.”

Digital Currencies: The Gateway to Control

The rise of digital currencies is heavily promoted in mainstream media, celebrated as convenient and inevitable. Films and series frequently highlight cashless societies as progressive or even utopian, yet scripture indicates a darker potential. Revelation 13:16-17 warns of economic manipulation through centralized control:

“And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark.”

Video games have particularly normalized this idea, with digital economies and currencies becoming integral to gameplay. Games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Watch Dogs present technological dominance over every aspect of human life, preconditioning players to accept total digital dependence and control as a norm.

Transhumanism: Humanity’s Ultimate Deception

Perhaps most alarming is the normalization of transhumanism–the merging of technology with human biology. This is prominently featured in movies such as Upgrade, Ghost in the Shell, and Transcendence, promoting the notion that humanity’s next step in evolution is through technological enhancement. The underlying message suggests humans must transcend their natural state, a dangerous echo of the serpent’s ancient promise in Genesis 3:5:

“For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God.”

Spiritual Vigilance Required

These examples of predictive programming are not merely entertainment but subtle spiritual warfare designed to soften resistance and ease the population into accepting the prophesied Antichrist’s global system. Paul warned believers to be discerning and alert, stating clearly in 2 Corinthians 2:11:

“…so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.”

Christians must remain spiritually awake and scripturally grounded, recognizing the insidious nature of these cultural narratives. While technology itself is not inherently evil, its ultimate use in the prophetic future will be to exert unprecedented control, fulfilling the precise conditions foretold in the Book of Revelation.

As prophetic signs continue to intensify, let us hold fast to the truth of God’s Word, recognizing predictive programming not just as entertainment, but as subtle conditioning for the dark days ahead. Stay awake, keep watch, and anchor yourselves firmly in the Word of God.

Reasons For Hope This Easter: The Quiet Revival Sweeping American Universities

While many college campuses have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons—anti-Semitic protests, anti-American rhetoric, and rising hostility toward people of faith—another story is quietly unfolding. A better story. One not of chaos but of Christ.

Death By Mail? Illinois Assisted Suicide Bill To Allow Deadly Drugs By Mail

In Illinois, Senate Bill 9 legalizing assisted suicide has passed out of committee. The bill allows doctors to prescribe suicide drugs to people with terminal illnesses who have six months left to live, but, like every assisted suicide bill passed or introduced in the United States, SB 9 is incredibly flawed.

INTRODUCTION TO YOUR BIBLE

Summary of the Book of 1
Chronicles

Author: The Book of 1 Chronicles does not specifically name its author. The tradition is
that 1 and 2 Chronicles were written by Ezra.
Date of Writing: The Book of 1 Chronicles was likely written between 450 and 425 B.C.
Purpose of Writing: The Books of 1 & 2 Chronicles cover mostly the same information
as 1 & 2 Samuel and 1 & 2 Kings. Perhaps the biggest distinction is that 1 & 2
Chronicles focus more on the priestly aspect of the time period. The Book of 1
Chronicles was written after the exile to help those returning to Israel understand how
to worship God. The history focused on the Southern Kingdom, the tribes of Judah,
Benjamin, and Levi. These tribes tended to be more faithful to God.
Key Verses:
1 Chronicles 11:1-2, “All Israel came together to David at Hebron and said, ‘We are your
own flesh and blood. In the past, even while Saul was king, you were the one who led
Israel on their military campaigns. And the Lord said to you, “You will shepherd my
people Israel, and you will become their ruler.”‘”
1 Chronicles 21:13, “David said to Gad, ‘I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands
of the LORD, for his mercy is very great; but do not let me fall into the hands of men.'”
1 Chronicles 29:11, “Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and
the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O
LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.”
Brief Summary: The first 9 chapters of 1 Chronicles are dedicated to lists and
genealogies. Further lists and genealogies are scattered throughout the rest of 1
Chronicles. In between, the Book of 1 Chronicles records David’s ascension to the throne
and his actions thereafter. The book concludes with David’s son Solomon becoming
King of Israel. Briefly outlined, the Book of 1 Chronicles is as follows: Chapters 1:1-9:23 –
Selective Genealogies; Chapters 9:24-12:40 – David’s ascent; Chapters 13:1-20:30 –
David’s reign.
Foreshadowings: In David’s song of thanksgiving to God in 1 Chronicles 16:33, he
refers to the time when God will come “to judge the earth.” This foreshadows Matthew
25, in which Jesus describes the time when He will come to judge the earth. Through the
parables of the ten virgins and the talents, He warns that those who are found without
the blood of Christ covering their sins will be cast into “outer darkness.” He encourages
His people to be ready because when He comes, He will separate the sheep from the
goats in judgment.
Part of the Davidic Covenant which God reiterates in chapter 17 refers to the future
Messiah who would be a descendant of David. Verses 13-14 describe the Son who will
be established in God’s house and whose throne will be established forever. This can
only refer to Jesus Christ.
Practical Application: Genealogies such as the ones in 1 Chronicles may seem dry to
us, but they remind us that God knows each of His children personally, even down to
the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:30). We can take comfort in the fact that
who we are and what we do is written forever in God’s mind. If we belong to Christ, our
names are written forever in the Lamb’s book of Life (Revelation 13:8).
God is faithful to His people and keeps His promises. In the Book of 1 Chronicles, we see
the fulfillment of God’s promise to David when he is made king over all Israel (1
Chronicles 11:1-3). We can be sure that His promises to us will be fulfilled as well. He has
promised blessings to those who follow Him, who come to Christ in repentance, and
who obey His Word.
Obedience brings blessing; disobedience brings judgment. The Book of 1 Chronicles, as
well as 1 & 2 Samuel and 1 & 2 Kings, is a chronicle of the pattern of sin, repentance,
forgiveness, and restoration of the nation of Israel. In the same way, God is patient with
us and forgives our sin when we come to Him in true repentance (1 John 1:9). We can
take comfort in the fact that He hears our prayer of sorrow, forgives our sin, restores us
to fellowship with Him, and sets us on the path to joy.

BEKENDSTELLING NA JOU BYBEL

Opsomming van die Boek 1
Kronieke
Skrywer
Sleutelverse:
1 Kronieke 11:1-2 , “Die hele Israel het by Dawid by Hebron bymekaargekom en gesê:
