Lord please teach us the Truth about the 2nd Coming of Jesus , the Rapture and the Battle of Armageddon in the same half an hour. Don’t let us wait in False hope like others that believe in Pre and Mid Tribulation Raptures , Lord Guide our Hearts in the Truth and in Love , that we can wait for the return of Jesus with Patience. Here, leer ons asseblief die waarheid oor die wederkoms van Jesus, die wegraping en die slag van Armageddon in dieselfde halfuur. Moenie dat ons in valse hoop wag soos ander wat in wegrapings voor en tydens die verdrukking glo nie. Here, lei ons harte in die waarheid en in liefde, sodat ons met geduld kan wag vir die wederkoms van Jesus. Dit bid ons in Jesus se naam. Amen en Amen.

The Misconception of People in Heaven and Hell right now!
I think it’s important to deal with this aspect from a Biblical Point of View and for us to receive this Truth sooner than later!
People tend to say: as soon as a loved one dies, that he or she is with Jesus in Heaven.
This is not correct and not according to the Bible!
Jesus said,
Joh 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
“I will come again, and receive you unto myself”
When will this be?
At the Second Coming of Jesus and during the Rapture!
As Jesus Ascended to Heaven Angels appeared to the Disciples and said!
Act 1:9-11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
We see, both Jesus and the Angels Confirmed, We will see Him return from Heaven at His 2nd Coming AND will be Collected at the Rapture just before the Battle of Armageddon!
Paul Confirms This
1Th 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
People will Argue this verses in the Bible about Lazarus and the Rich Man in Heaven and Hell, Please note that this was a Parable that Jesus used to explain! And not the fact of the matter!
Let’s Recap.
Jesus and the Angels said, That Jesus will return like He left and Collect us to be with Him in Heaven with His Father!
Paul Says. At the 2nd Coming of Jesus, God will bring the Dead in Christ that is asleep to the 2nd Coming, Paul describe these as the once asleep!
The Dead in Christ will arise with a Voice from an archangel and with the Sound of the 7th Trumpet. And then meet Jesus in the Air; we that are still alive at that Point will then change from mortal to immortal and meet Jesus in the air with the dead in Christ.
At this Point at the Rapture , Only the Once that Died in Christ will arise from the Grave , all the Unsaved will remain in the Grave until Just before the Great White Throne Judgment , 1000 Years after the Battle of Armageddon and the day satan and his demons was bound on earth for a 1000 Years.
Rev 20:5-8 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
We need to understand that there are 3 Groups of the Dead and one person that were in the middle of the transmission period!
The 1st Group of Dead = the Saints of God.
This 1st Group was from Adam to the death of Jesus Christ! At the Death of Jesus he descended to the Place of Death and released all the dead from the stronghold of the Angel of Death and received the Keys of Hell.
He released all the Saints of God like, King David, Samuel, King Solomon, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and more. They were freed by Jesus and Taken to Heaven,
This was all the Dead of the 1st Covenant. (The Blood Sacrifice Covenant)
Only the Prophet Daniel was left from this Group, He was included to the 3rd Group to see the Rapture of the Christians!
Dan 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
The 2nd Group of Dead = the 3 Year Ministry, Dead in Christ.
This Second Group was the Once that accepted Jesus during His 3 Year ministry on Earth, and that died in that 3 Years period and resurrected from the dead when Jesus descended to the Place of death after He died on the Cross, and released the saints of God.
He resurrected the dead in Christ from the grave as the Graves opened during the 3 hours of darkness after the death of Jesus. So everyone that accepted Christ during his 3 Years of Ministry, Lived again, as they resurrected from the graves as the graves opened!
Mat 27:50-53 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
The Thief on the Cross. The one person that died during the transition period.
One person died during this process, just after Jesus released all the dead from the Place of Death, and that was the murderer on the cross with Him, The one that Jesus told, that he will be with Jesus in Paradise that very day.
Luk 23:42-43 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
For this Thief Died after the 1st Covenant release of the Dead happened and was not included into the 1st or 2nd Group called The Saints of God or the Dead in Christ before the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And could not be Part of the 3rd Group, The Dead in Christ after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The 3rd Group = the Dead in Christ after His resurrection.
This 3rd Group , is all the Dead in Christ , That accepted Jesus Christ, That was Baptized in water and The Holy Spirit , from the Day Jesus arose from the Grave, to Present and beyond until the Rapture at the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ.
Joh 3:3-6 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
So every person that will Enter the Kingdom of Heaven from +- 36AC to Present and Beyond until the 2nd Returning of Jesus Christ, Just before the Battle of Armageddon.
This Group is not in Heaven yet and will only see Jesus at the Rapture after His 2nd Coming.
What Happens to the Unsaved?
For the Unsaved in this Group will not awake during the Rapture and remain in the Grave until the Point that satan and his demons is released 1000 years after the battle of Armageddon.
So they will remain asleep from 36 AC to a point a few days before the White Throne Judgment.
For those unsaved that is still alive during the second coming of Jesus Christ, They all will die during the Battle of Armageddon. And stay asleep for 1000 Years to be resurrected for a last time, ready for the White Throne Judgment.
Rev 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
So all the Unsaved from +- 36 AC until after the Battle of Armageddon will remain asleep. Until the day satan and his demons is release 1000 years after the Battle of Armageddon. And face the White Throne Judgment, Just before they will be caste into Hell for eternity after the judgment!
To Recap.
The Time Period between the Day you die and the day you open your eyes, will not even feel like 3 Minutes. It will feel like you were asleep!
For Example of somebody died in Christ in the 1800 s he or she will only wake up at the Rapture!
The Reborn baptized in Water and Spirit Filled Christians will closes his or her eyes at his or her death and open them at the Rapture to see Jesus in the Air. This will be at the same time we that is still alive during the time of the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ and the Rapture, will minutes later meet them in the Air with Jesus!
So all our Loved once that Died in Christ, and was baptized in water and Spirit will see Jesus just minutes before we will. They are not currently in Heaven. And our unsaved relatives are not currently in Hell.
The Unsaved will close their eyes at their Death and only open it up to be deceived by satan and his demons a last time to attack the Golden City , and when they arrive there , The White Throne Judgment will appear and the Judgment will take place.
As Paul said!
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I will meet my Relatives and Friends again!
If they were saved before their Death, and you are saved, you will see them in the Air with Jesus at His 2nd Coming and the Rapture.
If they were unsaved at their death, you will see them standing in front of the White Throne Judgment, and if you are Unsaved too, you will be Joining them in front of the White Throne Judgments!

EN daar is nog een Waarheid waarmee ons moet handel, dit lê swaar op my hart.
Die Wanopvatting van Mense in die Hemel en Hel op die oomblik!
Ek dink dis belangrik om hierdie aspek vanuit ‘n Bybelse oogpunt te hanteer en dat ons hierdie Waarheid gouer as later ontvang!
Mense is geneig om te sê: sodra ‘n geliefde sterf, is hy of sy by Jesus in die Hemel.
Dit is nie korrek nie en nie volgens die Bybel nie!
Jesus het gesê:
Joh 14:1-3 Laat julle hart nie ontsteld word nie; glo in God, glo ook in My.
In die huis van my Vader is daar baie wonings; as dit nie so was nie, sou Ek dit vir julle gesê het. Ek gaan om vir julle plek te berei.
En as Ek gegaan het en vir julle plek berei het, sal Ek weer kom en julle by Myself ontvang, sodat waar Ek is, julle ook daar kan wees.

Wanneer sal dit wees?
By die wederkoms van Jesus en tydens die wegraping!
Toe Jesus na die hemel opgevaar het, het engele aan die dissipels verskyn en gesê:
Handelinge 1:9-11 En nadat Hy dit gesê het, terwyl hulle kyk, is Hy opgeneem; en ‘n wolk het Hom uit hulle oë weggeneem.
En terwyl hulle stip na die hemel kyk terwyl Hy opgevaar het, staan daar twee manne in wit klere by hulle.
Hulle het ook gesê: Galilese manne, waarom staan julle en kyk na die hemel? Hierdie selfde Jesus wat van julle opgeneem is na die hemel, sal net so kom soos julle Hom na die hemel sien wegvaar het.
Ons sien, beide Jesus en die Engele het bevestig, ons sal Hom sien terugkeer uit die Hemel met Sy 2de Koms EN sal Versamel word met die Wegraping net voor die Slag van Armageddon!
Paulus Bevestig Dit
1 Tess 4:13-18 Maar ek wil nie hê dat julle onkundig moet wees, broeders, aangaande die ontslapenes nie, sodat julle nie treur soos die ander wat geen hoop het nie.
Want as ons glo dat Jesus gesterf en opgestaan het, sal God ook so die wat in Jesus ontslaap het, saam met Hom bring.
Want dit sê ons vir julle deur die woord van die Here, dat ons wat in die lewe bly en oorbly tot by die wederkoms van die Here, die ontslapenes nie sal vóór wees nie.
Want die Here self sal van die hemel neerdaal met ‘n geroep, met die stem van ‘n aartsengel en met geklank van die basuin van God; en die wat in Christus dooies is, sal eerste opstaan.
Daarna sal ons wat in die lewe bly en oorbly, saam met hulle in die wolke weggevoer word om die Here in die lug te ontmoet; en so sal ons altyd by die Here wees.
Vertroos mekaar dan met hierdie woorde.
Mense sal oor hierdie verse in die Bybel oor Lasarus en die Ryk Man in die Hemel en Hel stry. Let asseblief daarop dat dit ‘n gelykenis was wat Jesus gebruik het om te verduidelik! En nie die feit van die saak nie!
Kom ons hersien.
Jesus en die engele het gesê dat Jesus sal terugkeer soos Hy weg is en ons sal versamel om saam met Hom in die Hemel te wees, saam met Sy Vader!
Paulus sê: By die tweede koms van Jesus sal God die dooies in Christus wat slaap, na die tweede koms bring. Paulus beskryf hulle as die eens slaapendes!
Die dooies in Christus sal opstaan met ‘n stem van ‘n aartsengel en met die geluid van die 7de trompet. En dan ontmoet hulle Jesus in die lug; ons wat nog leef op daardie tydstip sal dan van sterflik na onsterflik verander en Jesus in die lug ontmoet met die dooies in Christus.
Op hierdie punt by die Wegraping sal slegs die Eenmaal in Christus gesterf het uit die Graf opstaan. Al die Ongereddes sal in die Graf bly tot net voor die Groot Wit Troon Oordeel, 1000 jaar na die Slag van Armageddon en die dag waarop Satan en sy demone vir 1000 jaar op die aarde gebind is.
Openb. 20:5-8 Maar die ander dode het nie weer lewend geword totdat die duisend jaar voleindig was nie. Dit is die eerste opstanding.
Geseënd en heilig is hy wat deel het aan die eerste opstanding; oor hulle het die tweede dood geen mag nie, maar hulle sal priesters van God en van Christus wees en sal saam met Hom duisend jaar lank regeer.
En wanneer die duisend jaar voleindig is, sal Satan uit sy gevangenis losgelaat word.
En hy sal uitgaan om die nasies te mislei wat in die vier hoeke van die aarde is, Gog en Magog, om hulle te versamel vir die oorlog; en hulle getal is soos die sand van die see.
Ons moet verstaan dat daar 3 Groepe van die Dooies en een persoon is wat in die middel van die oordragperiode was!
Die 1ste Groep Dooies = die Heiliges van God.
Hierdie 1ste Groep was van Adam tot die dood van Jesus Christus! Met die dood van Jesus het hy neergedaal na die Plek van die Dood en al die dooies vrygelaat uit die vesting van die Engel van die Dood en die Sleutels van die Hel ontvang.
Hy het al die Heiliges van God vrygelaat, soos Koning Dawid, Samuel, Koning Salomo, Jeremia, Jesaja, Esegiël en meer. Hulle is deur Jesus vrygelaat en na die Hemel geneem.
Dit was al die Dooies van die 1ste Verbond. (Die Bloedofferverbond)
Slegs die Profeet Daniël het van hierdie Groep oorgebly. Hy is ingesluit in die 3de Groep om die Wegraping van die Christene te sien!
Dan 12:13 Maar gaan jy jou gang tot die einde toe, want jy sal rus en aan die einde van die dae in jou lot staan.
Die 2de Groep Dooies = die 3-jaar Bediening, Dooies in Christus.
Hierdie Tweede Groep was die Eens wat Jesus aangeneem het gedurende Sy 3-jaar bediening op Aarde, en wat in daardie 3-jaar periode gesterf het en uit die dood opgestaan het toe Jesus na die Plek van die dood neergedaal het nadat Hy aan die Kruis gesterf het, en die heiliges van God vrygelaat het.
Hy het die dooies in Christus uit die graf opgewek soos die grafte oopgegaan het gedurende die 3 ure van duisternis na die dood van Jesus. So het almal wat Christus aangeneem het gedurende sy 3-jaar bediening, weer gelewe, soos hulle uit die grafte opgestaan het soos die grafte oopgegaan het!
Matt 27:50-53 Jesus het weer met ‘n groot stem geroep en die gees gegee.
En kyk, die voorhangsel van die tempel het in twee geskeur van bo tot onder; en die aarde het gebewe en die rotse het geskeur;
En die grafte het oopgegaan; en baie liggame van die ontslape heiliges het opgestaan,
En hulle het uit die grafte uitgegaan na sy opstanding en in die heilige stad ingegaan en aan baie verskyn.
Die Dief aan die Kruis. Die een persoon wat gesterf het gedurende die oorgangstydperk.
Een persoon het tydens hierdie proses gesterf, net nadat Jesus al die dooies uit die Plek van die Dood vrygelaat het, en dit was die moordenaar aan die kruis saam met Hom, die een vir wie Jesus gesê het dat hy daardie selfde dag saam met Jesus in die Paradys sal wees.
Lukas 23:42-43 En hy sê vir Jesus: Dink aan My, Here, wanneer U in u koninkryk kom.
En Jesus sê vir hom: Voorwaar Ek sê vir jou, vandag sal jy saam met My in die paradys wees.
Want hierdie dief het gesterf nadat die eerste verbond se vrylating van die dooies plaasgevind het en was nie ingesluit in die eerste of tweede groep wat die Heiliges van God of die dooies in Christus genoem word voor die opstanding van Jesus Christus nie. En kon nie deel wees van die derde groep, die dooies in Christus na die opstanding van Jesus Christus nie.
Die derde groep = die dooies in Christus na sy opstanding.
Die derde groep = die dooies in Christus na sy opstanding.
Hierdie 3de Groep is al die Dooies in Christus, wat Jesus Christus aangeneem het, wat in water en die Heilige Gees gedoop is, van die Dag dat Jesus uit die Graf opgestaan het, tot die Heer en daarna tot die Wegraping met die 2de Koms van Jesus Christus.
Joh 3:3-6 Jesus antwoord en sê vir hom: Voorwaar, voorwaar Ek sê vir jou, as iemand nie weer gebore word nie, kan hy die koninkryk van God nie sien nie.
Jesus antwoord: Voorwaar, voorwaar Ek sê vir jou, as iemand nie uit water en Gees gebore word nie, kan hy in die koninkryk van God nie ingaan nie.
Wat uit die vlees gebore is, is vlees; en wat uit die Gees gebore is, is gees.
So elke persoon wat die Koninkryk van die Hemel sal binnegaan van +- 36 n.C. tot die Heer en daarna tot die 2de Wederkoms van Jesus Christus, net voor die Slag van Armageddon.
Hierdie Groep is nog nie in die Hemel nie en sal Jesus eers by die Wegraping sien na Sy 2de Koms.
Wat Gebeur met die Ongereddes?
Want die Ongereddes in hierdie Groep sal nie tydens die Wegraping wakker word en in die Graf bly tot die Punt waar Satan en sy demone vrygelaat word, 1000 jaar na die Slag van Armageddon nie.
Dus sal hulle aan die slaap bly van 36 n.C. tot ‘n paar dae voor die Wit Troon Oordeel.
Diegene wat ongered is en nog leef tydens die wederkoms van Jesus Christus, sal almal sterf tydens die Slag van Armageddon. En vir 1000 jaar aan die slaap bly om vir die laaste keer opgewek te word, gereed vir die Wit Troon Oordeel.
Openb. 20:11-15 En ek het ‘n groot wit troon gesien en Hom wat daarop sit, voor wie se aangesig die aarde en die hemel weggevlug het; en daar is geen plek vir hulle gevind nie.
En ek het die dooies, klein en groot, voor God sien staan; en die boeke is geopen; en ‘n ander boek is geopen, dit is die boek van die lewe; en die dooies is geoordeel na die dinge wat in die boeke geskryf is, volgens hulle werke.
En die see het die dooies gegee wat daarin was, en die dood en die doderyk het die dooies gegee wat daarin was, en hulle is geoordeel, elkeen volgens sy werke.
En die dood en die doderyk is in die poel van vuur gewerp. Dit is die tweede dood.
En elkeen wat nie in die boek van die lewe geskryf was nie, is in die poel van vuur gewerp.
So sal al die Ongereddes van +- 36 n.C. tot na die Slag van Armageddon aan die slaap bly. Tot die dag dat Satan en sy demone vrygelaat word, 1000 jaar na die Slag van Armageddon. En die Wit Troon Oordeel in die gesig staar, net voordat hulle vir ewig in die Hel gewerp sal word na die oordeel!
Om op te som.
Die tydperk tussen die dag waarop jy sterf en die dag waarop jy jou oë oopmaak, sal nie eers soos 3 minute voel nie. Dit sal voel asof jy geslaap het!
Byvoorbeeld, iemand wat in die 1800’s in Christus gesterf het, sal eers met die Wegraping wakker word!
Die wedergeborenes wat in water- en geesvervulde Christene gedoop is, sal hul oë toemaak met hul dood en hulle oopmaak met die Wegraping om Jesus in die lug te sien. Dit sal dieselfde tyd wees as ons wat nog leef gedurende die tyd van die tweede koms van Jesus Christus en die Wegraping, minute later saam met Jesus in die lug sal ontmoet!
So al ons geliefdes wat eens in Christus gesterf het en in water en Gees gedoop is, sal Jesus net minute voor ons sien. Hulle is tans nie in die hemel nie. En ons ongeredde familielede is tans nie in die hel nie.
Die Ongereddes sal hulle oë toemaak met hulle Dood en dit slegs oopmaak om deur Satan en sy demone ‘n laaste keer mislei te word om die Goue Stad aan te val, en wanneer hulle daar aankom, sal die Wit Troon Oordeel verskyn en die Oordeel sal plaasvind.
Soos Paulus gesê het!
Troos mekaar daarom met hierdie woorde. Ek sal my Familie en Vriende weer ontmoet!
As hulle gered is voor hulle Dood, en jy is gered, sal jy hulle in die Lug saam met Jesus sien by Sy Tweede Koms en die Wegraping.
As hulle ongered was met hulle dood, sal jy hulle voor die Wit Troon Oordeel sien staan, en as jy ook Ongered is, sal jy by hulle aansluit voor die Wit Troon Oordele!

I’m not asking if you’re doing all the right things like feeding the hungry and caring for others. I’m not asking if you’re baptized. The question isn’t even whether you’re a deacon, elder, or even a preacher. My question: “Where do you stand in your relationship with God?”
Let’s look at Simon Peter. He was called by Jesus himself. He had a relationship with Jesus. He walked with Jesus. He experienced the greatness, the love, and the grace of God through Jesus. And yet he betrayed Jesus, yet he denied that he knew Jesus.
Jesus could see into Peter’s heart. The Lord knew him, so Jesus addressed him in Luke 22:32 with the words: “But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and when you have converted, strengthen your brothers.” (Afrikaans Old Translation) Does this mean that Peter was completely unconverted? Probably not, but it does indicate that even those close to God can falter.
There is hope. Jesus intercedes for us and prays that our faith may be maintained so that we can turn back to Him. Let’s look at Luke 22:32 in the New Afrikaans Translation: “But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. When you have converted, strengthen your brothers.”
God’s call today is the same as in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “if my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.”
God wants us to return. That we should often examine our lives so that we can be renewed. Look at 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Or do you not know for yourself that Jesus Christ is in you—if you are not at least reprehensible”! Read it in the Message translation: “Now I want to speak seriously to you: Go and examine your own life. Do you still believe?”
Let’s also look at Luke 14:26 – 30 “If anyone comes to me, he cannot be my disciple unless he renounces his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life. Whoever does not take up his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.” Which of you, intending to build a building, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘Here is a man who began to build and was not able to finish.’
The time has come, the time is ripe and the time to decide is now. It is all or nothing. Calculate the cost. Turn to God anew and return. And then Jesus will also say: “When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Is jy op die plek waar God jou wil hê? Het jy jou hele lewe aan God oorgegee? Het jy al tot bekering gekom? Nee, ek vra nie of ‘n lidmaat van die kerk is nie. Ek vra nie of jy al die regte dinge doen soos om vir honger mense kos te gee en ander te versorg nie. Ek vra nie of jy gedoop is nie. Die vraag is nie eens of jy ‘n diaken, ouderling of selfs ‘n prediker is nie. My vraag: “Waar staan jy in jou verhouding met God?”
Kom ons kyk na Simon Petrus. Hy is deur Jesus self geroep. Hy het ‘n verhouding met Jesus gehad. Hy het saam met Jesus geloop. Hy het die grootheid, die liefde en genade van God deur Jesus ervaar. En tog verraai hy vir Jesus, tog ontken hy dat hy Jesus ken.
Jesus kon in die hart van Petrus sien. Die Here het hom geken, daarom spreek Jesus hom aan in Lukas 22:32 met die woorde: “Maar Ek het vir jou gebid, dat jou geloof nie ophou nie; en as jy eendag bekeerd is, moet jy jou broeders versterk.” (Afrikaan Ou Vertaling) Beteken dit dat Petrus heeltemal onbekeerd was? Waarskynlik nie, maar dit dui daarop dat selfs diegene naby aan God kan uitsak.
Daar is hoop. Jesus tree vir ons in en bid dat ons geloof behoue moet bly sodat ons terug kan draai na Hom. Kom ons kyk na Lukas 22:32 in die Nuwe Afrikaanse Vertaling: “Maar Ek het vir jou gebid dat jou geloof jou nie begewe nie. As jy weer tot inkeer gekom het, moet jy jou broers versterk.”
God se roepe vandag is dieselfde as in 2 Kronieke 7:14 “en my volk, oor wie my Naam uitgeroep is, hulle verootmoedig en bid en my aangesig soek en hulle bekeer van hul verkeerde weë, dan sal Ék uit die hemel hoor en hulle sonde vergewe en hulle land genees.”
God verlang dat ons terug moet keer. Dat ons, ons lewens dikwels in oênskou moet neem sodat ons vernuwe kan word. Kyk na 2 Korinthiers13:5 “Ondersoek julself of julle in die geloof is; stel julself op die proef. Of is julle nie seker van julself dat Jesus Christus in julle is nie—as julle ten minste nie verwerplik is nie”! Lees dit sommer ook in die Boodskap vertaling: “Nou wil ek ernstig met julle praat: Gaan kyk ‘n slag deeglik na julle eie lewe. Glo julle nog?”
Kom ons kyk ook na Lukas 14:26 – 30 “As iemand na My toe kom, kan hy nie my dissipel wees nie tensy hy afstand doen van sy eie vader en moeder en vrou en kinders en broers en susters, ja, selfs van sy eie lewe. Iemand wat nie sy eie kruis dra en agter My aan kom nie, kan nie my dissipel wees nie.”Wie van julle wat ‘n gebou wil oprig, gaan nie eers sit en die koste bereken, om te sien of hy genoeg geld het om die werk te voltooi nie? Anders, as hy die fondament gelê het en nie in staat is om die gebou te voltooi nie, sal almal wat dit sien, met hom die spot begin dryf. Hulle sal sê: ‘Hier is ‘n man wat begin bou het maar nie kon klaar maak nie.’
Die tyd het gekom, die tyd is ryp en die tyd is nou om te besluit. Dis alles of niks. Bereken die koste. Draai opnuut na God en keer terug. En dan sal Jesus ook sê: “As jy weer tot inkeer gekom het, moet jy jou broers versterk.”

The same voices now urging Israel to finish off Hamas are also beginning to whisper of regional realignment, the expansion of the Abraham Accords, and a sweeping deal with the Arab world. For those who study prophecy, these aren’t just headlines–they’re harbingers.
Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, a key figure in Israeli diplomacy, has emphasized that a decisive victory over Hamas is essential for Israel to secure broader peace agreements with Arab nations. He stated, “In the Middle East, when you win, when you’re strong, that’s what attracts others.” In a podcast appearance Dermer argued that Hamas would have to be defeated before a real plan for the “day after” could be created.
Any plan put forward by Israel would be “dead on arrival,” and would be automatically opposed by any local faction, Dermer warned. Therefore, the international community and moderate Arab States, especially in the Gulf region, should be an integral part of the post-war plan, he said.
The Abraham Accords could possibly be part of this process. Initiated in 2020, marked a significant step in normalizing relations between Israel and several Arab nations, including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. There is ongoing speculation about the potential inclusion of Saudi Arabia and Syria in these accords.
However, Saudi Arabia has made clear it will only join when a much larger plan is put in place that will involve the Palestinians. If Saudi Arabia does join it is expected to open the floodgates to many other Arab and Muslim nations. If Saudi Arabia was to propose a much larger agreement with many more nations, one could see how this might start to look prophetic or at least create the precedent for more agreements to follow.

Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza is a direct response to the horrific October 7 attacks by Hamas. The goal is clear: to eliminate Hamas’s capacity to launch terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and to secure the release of hostages. Over 1,700 Israelis have been killed since that day.
France, as a member of the European Union, officially designated Hamas as a terrorist organization in 2003. That makes Macron’s current stance all the more baffling.
What will arise from the so-called “Palestinian Authority” is not a democratic state but a PLO-dominated regime steeped in terror — regardless of whether Mahmoud Abbas or any other PLO figure holds the title of chairman, president, or prime minister. A Palestinian state, under current conditions, poses a danger not only to Israel but to regional and global security. A Palestinian state is unsafe at any size and under any leadership be it PLO or Hamas.
Recognising and/or creating a Palestinian state is wrong not only because it threatens Israel’s security, but because it would signal a broader victory for international terrorism — particularly Islamic extremist groups. A Palestinian state would quickly become a hub for state-sponsored terror, emboldening radicals worldwide.
The PLO’s long history of cooperation with global terror networks — from the Japanese Red Army and Red Army Faction to elements of the IRA — is well documented. It has also collaborated with every major state sponsor of terrorism in the last 30 years. Recognizing a PLO-led Palestinian state would be perceived as a reward for decades of international terrorism.
Mahmoud Abbas is now entering the 20th year of his original four-year presidential term. His likely successors, Hussein al-Sheikh and Rawhi Fattouh, are deeply problematic figures. Fattouh, nominated in November 2024 to assume the presidency should Abbas become incapacitated, is a bombastic figure who makes even Yasser Arafat seem urbane. In June 2023, Fattouh bizarrely claimed: “We say that we have been here for more than 1.5 million years.” The oldest known human fossils, for reference, are estimated to be about 300,000 years old.

Plain of Gennesaret
The Plain of Gennesaret spreads out below the Arbel cliffs. About 5 miles (8 km) long and 2 miles (3 km) wide, this stretch of land alongside the Sea of Galilee’s northwest shore was renowned for its fertility. Josephus wrote that it was “wonderful in its characteristics and in its beauty. Thanks to the rich soil there is not a plant that does not flourish there, and the inhabitants grow everything: the air is so temperate that it suits the most diverse species.”

The Sea of Galilee is fed by the Jordan River, rainfall and springs on the northern side. More properly designated a lake, the Kinneret (the Old Testament and modern name) is 13 miles (21 km) long and 7 miles (11 km) wide. At its deepest point, the lake is only 150 feet (45 m) deep. The rabbis said of it, “Although God has created seven seas, yet He has chosen this one as His special delight.”

From the summit of Mount Arbel on the western side of the Sea of Galilee, one can see the entire lake, the city of Tiberias, the mountains of Galilee, and Golan Heights . On a clear day,Mount Hermon is visible.
Hippos and Harbors
Hippos (Susita) was a major city of the Decapolis located on a round hill overlooking the shore. The modern harbor of Kibbutz En Gev is visible below it. In the 1st century, at least 16 harbors were located on the lake. All the lake’s settlements had their own harbor, even if it was very small. The largest one belonged to Gadara had a 650-foot (200-m) breakwater.
Wooden Boat Reconstruction
In 1986, a wooden vessel from the first century was discovered near Nof Ginosar on the lake’s northwestern shore. Studies have determined the type of wood that was used (mainly cedar and oak), the style of construction (mortise and tenon joints), the date (on the basis of construction techniques, pottery, and Carbon 14 tests) and the size (26 x 7 ft [42×8 m] – big enough for 15 men). Pictured at right is a reconstruction of how the ancient boat might have looked. This was formerly on display at Kibbutz En Gev.
St. Peter’s Fish
Three types of fish were primarily sought by fishermen in antiquity in these waters. Sardines likely were the “two small fish” that the boy brought to the feeding of the 5,000. Sardines and bread were the staple product of the locals. Barbels are so known because of the barbs at the corners of their mouths. The third type is called musht but is more popularly known today as “St. Peter’s Fish.” This fish has a long dorsal fin which looks like a comb and can be up to 1.5 feet (0.5 m) long and 3.3 pounds (1.5 kg) in weight.

The peaceful calm of the Sea of Galilee can quickly become transformed by a violent storm. Winds funnel through the east-west aligned Galilee hill country and stir up the waters quickly. More violent are the winds that come off the hills of Golan Heights to the east. Trapped in the basin, the winds can be deadly to fishermen. A storm in March 1992 sent waves 10 feet (3 m) high crashing into downtown Tiberias and causing significant damage.

Introduction to the Bible – Bible Summary
Summary of the Book of
Lamentations
Author: The Book of Lamentations does not explicitly identify its author. The tradition is that the Prophet Jeremiah wrote Lamentations. This view is highly likely considering the author was a witness of the Babylonians destroying Jerusalem. Jeremiah fits this
qualification (2 Chronicles 35:25; 36:21-22).
Date of Writing: The Book of Lamentations was likely written between 586 and 575
B.C., during or soon after Jerusalem’s fall.
Purpose of Writing: As a result of Judah’s continued and unrepentant idolatry, God
allowed the Babylonians to besiege, plunder, burn, and destroy the city of Jerusalem.
Solomon’s Temple, which had stood for approximately 400 years, was burned to the
ground. The Prophet Jeremiah, an eyewitness to these events, wrote the Book of
Lamentations as a lament for what occurred to Judah and Jerusalem.
Key Verses:
Lamentations 2:17, “The LORD has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his word,
which he decreed long ago. He has overthrown you without pity, he has let the enemy
gloat over you, he has exalted the horn of your foes.”
Lamentations 3:22-23, “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 5:19-22, “You, O LORD, reign forever; your throne endures from
generation to generation. Why do you always forget us? Why do you forsake us so
long? Restore us to yourself, O LORD, that we may return; renew our days as of old
unless you have utterly rejected us and are angry with us beyond measure.”
Brief Summary: The Book of Lamentations is divided into five chapters. Each chapter
represents a separate poem. In the original Hebrew, the verses are acrostic, each verse starting with a succeeding letter of the Hebrew alphabet. In the Book of Lamentations,
the Prophet Jeremiah understands that the Babylonians were God’s tool for bringing
judgment on Jerusalem (Lamentations 1:12-15; 2:1-8; 4:11). Lamentations makes it clear that sin and rebellion were the causes of God’s wrath being poured out (1:8-9; 4:13; 5:16). Lamenting is appropriate in a time of distress, but it should quickly give way to contrition and repentance (Lamentations 3:40-42; 5:21-22).
Foreshadowings: Jeremiah was known as the “weeping prophet” for his deep and
abiding passion for his people and their city (Lamentations 3:48-49). This same sorrow
over the sins of the people and their rejection of God was expressed by Jesus as He
approached Jerusalem and looked ahead to her destruction at the hands of the Romans (Luke 19:41-44). Because of the Jews’ rejection of their Messiah, God used the Roman siege to punish His people. But God takes no joy in having to punish His children and His offer of Jesus Christ as a provision for sin shows His great compassion on His people. One day, because of Christ, God will wipe away all tears (Revelation 7:17).
Practical Application: Even in terrible judgment, God is a God of hope (Lamentations
3:24-25). No matter how far we have gone from Him, we have the hope that we can
return to Him and find Him compassionate and forgiving (1 John 1:9). Our God is a
loving God (Lamentations 3:22), and because of His great love and compassion, He sent His Son so that we would not perish in our sins, but can live eternally with Him (John 3:16). God’s faithfulness (Lamentations 3:23) and deliverance (Lamentations 3:26) are attributes that give us great hope and comfort. He is not a disinterested, capricious god, but a God who will deliver all those who turn to Him, admit they can do nothing to earn His favor, and call upon the Lord’s mercy so that we will not be consumed (Lamentations 3:22).

Klaagliedere verstaan die profeet Jeremia dat die Babiloniërs God se werktuig was om
oordeel oor Jerusalem te bring ( Klaagliedere 1:12-15 ; 2:1-8 ; 4:11 ). Klaagliedere maak dit duidelik dat sonde en rebellie die oorsake was dat God se toorn uitgestort is (1:8-9; 4:13; 5:16). Klaaglied is gepas in ’n tyd van benoudheid, maar dit behoort vinnig plek te maak vir berou en bekering ( Klaagliedere 3:40-42 ; 5:21-22 ).
Voorspellings: Jeremia was bekend as die “ huilende profeet ” vir sy diep en blywende passie vir sy mense en hulle stad ( Klaagliedere 3:48-49 ). Hierdie selfde droefheid oor die sondes van die mense en hulle verwerping van God is deur Jesus uitgespreek toe Hy Jerusalem genader het en vooruitgekyk het na haar vernietiging deur die hande van die Romeine ( Luk. 19:41-44 ). As gevolg van die Jode se verwerping van hulle Messias, het God die Romeinse beleg gebruik om Sy volk te straf. Maar God skep geen vreugde daarin om Sy kinders te moet straf nie en Sy aanbod van Jesus Christus as ‘n voorsiening vir sonde toon Sy groot deernis met Sy mense. Eendag, as gevolg van Christus, sal God alle trane afvee ( Openbaring 7:17 ).
Praktiese Toepassing: Selfs in verskriklike oordeel is God ‘n God van hoop ( Klaagliedere 3:24-25 ). Maak nie saak hoe ver ons van Hom af gegaan het nie, ons het
die hoop dat ons na Hom kan terugkeer en Hom medelydend en vergewensgesind kan
vind ( 1 Johannes 1:9 ). Ons God is ‘n liefdevolle God ( Klaagliedere 3:22 ), en vanweë sy groot liefde en deernis het Hy sy Seun gestuur sodat ons nie in ons sondes verlore sal gaan nie, maar vir ewig saam met Hom kan lewe ( Joh. 3:16 ). God se getrouheid (
Klaagliedere 3:23 ) en bevryding ( Klaagliedere 3:26 ) is eienskappe wat ons groot hoop en vertroosting gee. Hy is nie ‘n belangelose, wispelturige god nie, maar ‘n God wat almal sal verlos wat hulle tot Hom bekeer, sal erken dat hulle niks kan doen om Sy guns te verdien nie, en die Here se genade sal aanroep sodat ons nie verteer sal word nie ( Klaagliedere 3:22) . ).
