The Fight is Bigger than You THINK – We Are Fighting Princepalities !!

In Ephesians 6:12, the apostle Paul introduces the believers in Ephesus to the reality of spiritual warfare in the Christian life: “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12, NLT). Before discussing the armor Christians must wear in combat and their weapons of warfare, Paul stresses that the battle is spiritual, not physical. We do not fight against flesh and blood means we do not face a physical enemy but a spiritual one.

Christian warfare consists of a spiritual strategy fought with supernatural weapons against an unseen enemy. The opposition is real but not visible to the naked eye. Beneath the surface, an invisible spiritual battle is raging. We fight this war not with tangible weapons like guns and ammunition, nor with bodily defenses such as kicks and punches, but by daily putting on the whole armor of God, always praying, standing firm in the Word of God, and staying alert (Ephesians 6:13–18).

If we do not fight against flesh and blood, whom are we wrestling with, and who are our spiritual enemies? Paul named these opponents as the devil and his schemes, the rulers, authorities, and “powers of this dark world,” and “the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). His description seems to indicate a pecking order of evil beings who do Satan’s bidding to oppose God’s will on earth.

The apostle Peter also warned believers to remain vigilant against the devil: “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith” (1 Peter 5:8–9).

We do not fight against flesh and blood means that our enemies are not human but demonic. Many in Paul’s Ephesian audience had previously dabbled in the occult (Acts 19:18–20) and would have been familiar with the devil and his evil forces.

The Bible calls the devil, or Satan, “the prince of this world” (John 12:31), “the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient” (Ephesians 2:2), “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4), and “the accuser” of believers (Revelation 12:10). This is our true enemy.

Paul says, in our fight with this enemy, we must be aware of his tactics (2 Corinthians 2:11). And in Ephesians 6:11–12, Paul mentions three main traits of Satan’s spiritual forces. First, they are powerful. They have authority to rule in the world. Second, they are evil. These wicked spiritual enemies use their power to wreak destruction. They are associated with darkness and not light, wickedness and not good. And, third, they are shrewd. They know how to scheme and strategize. They are so skilled at deception that sometimes they come disguised as angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) or wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15).

So how can we, in our human weakness, expect to stand against such strong and cunning enemies? Brute strength won’t win the battle. Humanly speaking, victory is impossible. In our struggle against the devil and his scheming forces, Paul says we must “be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” (Ephesians 6:10). It is our job to stand aside and let God fight the battle for us, and only then are we sure to win.

Only God can strengthen, defend, and deliver us from the power, wickedness, and craft of the devil (2 Timothy 4:17–18). Our enemy may be strong, but God is stronger (1 John 4:4). God makes available to us the same mighty power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and seated Him at God’s right hand in heaven (Ephesians 1:19–20). Our enemies are defeated through Christ’s victory over them on the cross (Colossians 2:15).

When David came up against the Philistine giant, he recognized that his fight was not ultimately against flesh and blood. Goliath taunted David and cursed his God, saying, “Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks? . . . Come here . . . and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and the wild animals!” (1 Samuel 17:43–44). But David, trusting in the strength of the Lord and His mighty power, answered, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied” (1 Samuel 17:45).

“For the battle is the LORD’s” declared David (1 Samuel 17:47), and so ought we as we engage in spiritual warfare. Our fight is not against flesh and blood. The victory depends on the Lord, not us.

Tea Time Manna

The Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.
—Luke 19:10

Jesus’ opponents said that he was “a friend of tax collectors and sinners” (Luke 7:34). Of all the things people called Jesus, I believe that was one of his favorites. Come to think of it, I believe it’s my favorite, too! Jesus came to seek and save all of us who are lost because God wanted us to find salvation in Jesus (John 3:16-17). He did this when we were “powerless,” “ungodly,” “sinners,” and “God’s enemies” (Romans 5:6, 8, 10). So, let’s praise God that Jesus is not only “a friend of tax collectors and sinners,”, but he also came to be our friend, to save us, and to bring us back to God (Romans 5:10; 2 Corinthians 5:20),

Prayer

Almighty God, while I know you hate sin and the havoc it creates in our lives, I am so thankful that when you came to earth as Jesus, Immanuel, God with us, you were not our judge but our Savior. You came to make us your friends and family. I promise to live today more aware of your love for the lost because I know what it means to be found by you. Thank you! Praise you! I pray in deep appreciation for all you have done and by the power of Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen

Bible Teaching of the Day

LUNCH MANNA =

The phrase principalities and powers occurs six times in the Bible, always in the King James Version and its derivatives (NKJV, mKJV). Other versions translate it variously as “rulers and authorities,” “forces and authorities,” and “rulers and powers.” In most places where the phrase appears, the reference is to the vast array of evil and malicious spirits who make war against the people of God. The principalities and powers are satanic—they are spiritual beings that wield power in the unseen realms to oppose everything and everyone that is of God.

The first mention of principalities and powers is in Romans 8:37–39: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (NKJV). These verses are about the victory Christ has won over all the forces ranged against us. We are “more than conquerors” because no force—not life, not death, not angels, not demons, indeed nothing—can separate us from the love of God. The “powers” referred to here are those with miraculous powers, whether false teachers and prophets or the demonic entities that empower them. Whatever their power, they cannot separate us from the love of God. Our victory is assured.

Another mention of principalities and powers is in Colossians 1:16, “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him” (NKJV). The Son of God is the Creator and Ruler over all authorities, whether they submit to Him or rebel against Him. The forces of evil are subject to the control of our sovereign Lord, who uses even the wicked for bringing about His perfect plan and purpose (Daniel 4:35; Isaiah 46:10–11).

Colossians 2:15 pinpoints the moment of Jesus’ triumph as His substitutionary atonement on the cross: “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in [the cross]” (NKJV). The principalities and powers are not to be feared, for they have been disarmed at the cross. Satan and his legions had drawn mankind into captivity, subjecting them to their evil reign. But Christ, by His death, subdued the enemy and “rescued us from the dominion of darkness” (Colossians 1:13).

Ephesians 3:10–11 speaks of a broader set of principalities and powers—the holy and unholy angels in the heavenly realms: “To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord” (NKJV). The wisdom and purpose of God in the plan of salvation shine through the church. Angels now witness the glory of God and the preeminence of Christ, as God has redeemed a people for Himself and preserves them by His power (Ephesians 1:20–21).

Ephesians 6:12 specifies that we battle “against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (NKJV). We have been given spiritual armor to fight the fight (Ephesians 6:13–18). We “stand firm” (Ephesians 6:11, NLT), knowing our enemy has been disarmed—the serpent has been defanged, and victory is promised.

The final reference to principalities and powers is Titus 3:1, where believers are admonished to “be subject to principalities and powers” (KJV). In this context, the rulers are those governmental authorities whom God has placed over us for our protection and welfare. Submission to God involves submission to His duly constituted human authorities. Those who rebel against earthly authorities are “rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves” (Romans 13:2).

Today’s Devotional

DINNER MANNA =

In Colossians 2:6–15, the apostle Paul reminds believers of their new identity in Jesus Christ. He emphasizes that, through Christ’s death and resurrection, believers are united with Christ, forgiven of their sins, and freed from the legalistic requirements of the law. Jesus destroyed the record of charges held against us for our sins, “having nailed it to the cross” (Colossians 2:14, NKJV). Then, Paul states that Jesus “disarmed principalities and powers” and “made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them” (Colossians 2:15, NKJV).

Colossians 2:15 highlights the complete victory of Jesus Christ over dark spiritual forces that oppose God’s purposes and His people. Because Jesus disarmed principalities and powers and triumphed over them on the cross, believers are 100 percent forgiven. Our sin debt is paid in full. Our eternal salvation is complete (Hebrews 7:25). And our victory in Christ is absolute (see Colossians 2:9–10; Romans 8:37–39).

The “principalities and powers” (NKJV) or “rulers and authorities” (ESV) in Colossians 2:15 are spiritual entities in the unseen realm that exert influence over human affairs. These principalities and powers are associated with demonic forces that contradict God. Paul explains, “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12, NLT). These forces are part of Satan’s domain and attempt to deceive, oppress, and enslave humanity.

In some contexts, principalities and powers can refer to human or worldly systems of government and authority that perpetuate injustice, corruption, and rebellion against God. These earthly rulers and authorities may be influenced or controlled by dark spiritual forces, but they are real-life, tangible entities that have a significant impact on society.

The concept of disarmament in this verse is profound. To disarm is to strip away power, authority, or weaponry. Jesus, who is head over every authority and leader (see Colossians 2:10; Ephesians 1:21–22), stripped away all power from the dark forces that once wielded influence over us. He canceled the record of sins that stood against us by metaphorically nailing it to the cross. Jesus’ sacrifice removed any leverage Satan and his minions had over believers. He disarmed principalities and powers, nullifying their ability to accuse or condemn Christians (Romans 8:33–34), which led to their public shame and defeat.

The fact that Jesus disarmed principalities and powers has important implications for everyone who places his or her faith and trust in Him. Here are just a few:

Freedom from Condemnation

Believers no longer live under the oppressive rule of sin, shame, and condemnation (Romans 8:1; John 5:24). Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life” (John 5:24, NLT). The enemy’s accusations have been silenced. We “have been made right in God’s sight by faith, [and] we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us” (Romans 5:1, NLT). We are free to live in the grace and righteousness of Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Authority in Christ

Through Christ’s victory, Jesus shares His authority with His followers: “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). In Christ, we are empowered to resist and overcome forces of evil (see Isaiah 54:17; Matthew 16:19; 1 John 4:4; Romans 8:37; 1 Corinthians 10:13; James 4:7).

Purpose in Life

Christ’s victory inspires believers to walk in confidence and hope, knowing that the ultimate battle has already been won. We must remain vigilant as spiritual warfare persists (see Ephesians 6:10–18; Romans 13:12; 1 Peter 5:8–9), but the final, victorious outcome is assured. As sharers in Christ’s triumph, believers are called to extend His victory, living lives that reflect His life, light, and love. Our purpose is to carry on Christ’s mission of reconciliation, helping the lost and broken find their way to God (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19–20; 2 Corinthians 5:18–20).

Triumph over Death

Death, often depicted as the ultimate weapon of principalities and powers, was defeated through Christ’s resurrection. Paul explains, “Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:
‘Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?’
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:54–57, NLT).

Not only are Christians redeemed at the cross, but they are also empowered to live as overcomers in a world still grappling with dark spiritual forces and moral challenges. Through the cross, Christ’s triumph is complete, and His authority is unshakable. Jesus disarmed principalities and powers, giving us freedom and purpose in this life and victory over sin and death.

Revelation 9 Prophecy – Opens Up

The Next 9/11 Won’t Look The Same: Missing Crop Duster Drones Are Wake Up Call!

Where are the Missing Crop Duster Drones ????

It didn’t make front-page headlines for long. No explosions. No casualties. No viral footage of chaos. But what happened in New Jersey last month may prove far more unsettling than a single act of violence–because it revealed just how exposed the United States could be to the next generation of mass-casualty threats.

Fifteen industrial-grade agricultural spray drones were stolen from a facility in New Jersey in what investigators believe was a coordinated, technically sophisticated operation. These weren’t hobbyist toys or camera drones. These were precision machines–designed to carry between 10 and 40 gallons of liquid, programmed with GPS routes, and capable of blanketing up to 30 acres in minutes.

In the wrong hands, that’s not just farming equipment.

That’s delivery infrastructure.

According to reporting from The High Side, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has opened an investigation, though officials have remained publicly tight-lipped. Behind the scenes, concern appears anything but muted. Retired FBI agent Steve Lazarus didn’t mince words, warning of “ridiculously bad” consequences and calling the scenario a “potential nightmare.”

It’s not hard to see why.

For decades, U.S. counterterrorism planning has revolved around large, centralized threats–planes, bombs, coordinated attacks like those seen in the September 11 attacks. But technology has quietly shifted the landscape. Today, the tools required to inflict large-scale harm are smaller, cheaper, and increasingly accessible.

And perhaps most concerning–they’re dual-use.

Agricultural spray drones exist for a legitimate and beneficial purpose. They improve efficiency, reduce labor, and support food production. But the same systems that allow farmers to precisely distribute fertilizer or pesticide could, in a darker scenario, be repurposed to disperse far more dangerous substances.

That’s not speculation. That’s been a standing concern among security officials since the early 2000s, when fears centered around crop-duster aircraft. Now, the barrier to entry has dropped dramatically. You no longer need a pilot’s license or a full-sized plane. You need coordination, technical knowledge–and increasingly, access to equipment like what was stolen in New Jersey.

The most immediate assumption is that this was the work of a criminal enterprise. The resale value alone–estimated between $225,000 and $450,000–makes it an attractive target. Black-market networks dealing in stolen equipment are nothing new.

But that’s where the story becomes more troubling.

Because criminal enterprises don’t always operate in isolation.

History has shown that organized crime and terrorist networks often overlap–through financing, logistics, or opportunistic transactions. A stolen drone doesn’t have to be taken by terrorists to become a terrorist tool. It only has to be sold, transferred, or repurposed.

And unlike traditional weapons, these drones don’t immediately raise suspicion. They don’t cross borders in crates labeled “explosives.” They can be transported, stored, and even operated under the guise of legitimate use–until they’re not.

Compounding the concern is the broader context in which this theft occurred.

New Jersey has already experienced months of unexplained drone activity in 2024. Reports from law enforcement described large, coordinated aerial formations–sometimes more than a dozen drones at once–flying over sensitive locations including reservoirs, power substations, research labs, and even military installations near Picatinny Arsenal.

Some of these drones weren’t small. Officers reported aircraft the size of a small car, capable of high speeds–approaching 170 miles per hour–and possibly equipped with radar-jamming technology. In one alarming incident, multiple drones forced a medevac helicopter to abort a landing and then appeared to follow it.

Let that sink in.

Unidentified aerial systems, operating in coordinated formations, interfering with emergency services, and flying over critical infrastructure–with no clear origin and limited ability to stop them.

Now layer on top of that the theft of 15 high-capacity spray drones.

Even if the two events are unrelated, they point to the same uncomfortable truth: our airspace–especially at low altitudes–is far more vulnerable than most Americans realize.

The Department of Homeland Security has previously warned that the United States is not fully prepared to defend against weaponized drones. Lawmakers have raised concerns, but regulatory frameworks and defensive technologies have struggled to keep pace with rapid innovation in the private sector.

And that gap–between capability and security–is where risk lives.

To be clear, there is no confirmed plot. No evidence that these stolen drones are being prepared for an attack. But waiting for confirmation has never been a winning strategy in national security.

The real issue is not what has happened–but what could happen.

What if a coordinated group deployed multiple drones simultaneously over a dense urban area?

What if those drones followed pre-programmed GPS routes, dispersing harmful agents before authorities even realized what was happening?

What if critical infrastructure–water supplies, power grids, transportation hubs–became targets not through physical breach, but through aerial delivery?

These are not far-fetched scenarios. They are logical extensions of existing technology.

And perhaps the most sobering part of this story is how quietly it unfolded.

No alarms across the nation. No urgent policy debates dominating headlines. Just a report, a theft, and a lingering question.

Are we paying attention?

Because in an era where threats are evolving faster than our defenses, the most dangerous vulnerabilities are often the ones hiding in plain sight–disguised as tools of progress, waiting for the wrong hands to give them a different purpose.

PASTOR DIRK SAYS .

Revelation 9 Speaks of Drones that will be Used to Infect People with something that will Cause a skin Irretation of Note : Can it come from the Missing Crop Duster Drones ????

Revelation 11 Prophecy – Opens Up.

Sodom and Egypt = Israel – Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

An LGBT Festival In The Shadow Of Sodom: What ‘Pride Land’ Symbolizes For Israel, Building a PRIDE CITY ( A NEW SODOM )

A celebration is rising in one of the most haunting places on earth–and for many watching, it feels less like progress and more like a warning echoing from the past.

In early June 2026, thousands are expected to gather along the shores of the Dead Sea for “Pride Land,” a four-day festival billed as the largest LGBT celebration the Middle East has ever seen. Organizers promise a temporary “Pride City” in the Judean Desert–complete with hotels, beach venues, music stages, and even family-friendly programming. Israel’s official government channels have promoted it with a striking phrase: “Pride rises at the lowest place on earth.”

At first glance, it reads like clever marketing.

But for many Christians who love and stand with Israel, those words land very differently.

Because the “lowest place on earth” is not just a geographical fact. It is a place layered with memory–biblical, historical, and deeply spiritual. And that is where this story begins to shift from celebration to something far more sobering.

The region surrounding the Dead Sea has long been associated with the account of Sodom and Gomorrah, described in Genesis 19. The meaning of that story has endured across generations: a society given over to moral confusion, ultimately facing divine judgment.

That is why this moment feels so jarring.

Not simply because a festival is happening–but because of where it is happening.

There is an unavoidable contrast between the ancient warning tied to this land and the modern message being proclaimed upon it. What was once remembered as a place of reckoning is now being rebranded as a place of celebration. And for many believers, that inversion is difficult to ignore.

It raises a deeper question: are we witnessing cultural progress–or spiritual amnesia?

To understand the weight of this moment, one must also understand Israel itself–a nation unlike any other.

Modern Israel is a vibrant democracy, deeply integrated into the global world, yet rooted in an ancient identity that stretches back thousands of years. Over time, it has emerged as one of the most progressive countries in the region on LGBT issues, legally and culturally. At the same time, it remains a nation internally divided, with large segments of its population holding firmly to traditional, biblical views of morality.

“Pride Land” sits directly in the middle of that divide.

It is not just a festival–it is a statement. A declaration about the direction of a nation still wrestling with its soul.

And perhaps that is what makes this moment so significant. Because it is not happening in a vacuum. It is unfolding in a land where faith is not merely personal–it is foundational.

For Christians around the world, the response has not been one of outrage, but of grief.

There is a long and deeply rooted love for Israel within the Christian community. Many see the nation not just as a geopolitical ally, but as a central thread in God’s redemptive story. They pray for its peace. They defend its existence. They celebrate its resilience.

So when something like this emerges, the reaction is not rejection–it is lament.

It echoes another moment in biblical history: when the people of Israel, newly delivered from Egypt, stood in the wilderness and fashioned a golden calf. It was not merely an act of rebellion–it was a misplacement of worship, a turning toward something immediate and visible instead of the God who had just revealed His power.

That story lingers because it feels familiar.

Not in form–but in pattern.

A people called to reflect something higher, now reflecting something else. A sacred story intersecting with a secular desire. A quiet drift that, over time, becomes something much louder.

And yet, even beyond theology, there is a striking cultural paradox unfolding in plain sight.

Many of the loudest global voices championing LGBT causes are also among the fiercest critics of Israel, often advocating for its dismantling in favor of a Palestinian state. But within many Palestinian-controlled territories, those same identities would not be celebrated–they would be suppressed, sometimes violently.

It is a contradiction that is rarely acknowledged, but impossible to ignore.

And it reveals something deeper about our cultural moment: that alliances are often built more on shared opposition than shared values.

So what, then, are we witnessing at the edge of the Dead Sea?

Is this simply a festival–another expression of modern identity in a rapidly changing world?

Or is it something more symbolic?

A collision between past and present. Between warning and celebration. Between a story that once defined a people and a culture that is now redefining it.

For those who believe Scripture still speaks, moments like this are not random. They are reflective. They force us to ask not only what is happening–but what it means.

Because history, especially biblical history, has a way of repeating its patterns–not always in exact detail, but in unmistakable rhythm.

As the lights go up in the desert and music fills the air, the contrast will be striking. Joy and celebration set against one of the most solemn backdrops in Scripture.

And perhaps that is the final tension.

Not that people are gathering.

But that the place itself still speaks.

The question is whether anyone is listening.

Because the land remembers.

And sometimes, it whispers truths we would rather not hear.

Bonus Teaching for the Child of God !!

The phrase “heavenly places” or “heavenly realms” is used several times in the book of Ephesians (1:3, 20; 2:6; 3:10; 6:12). This phrase is translated from the Greek word epouranios, meaning “the sphere of spiritual activities.” “Heavenly realms” can refer to both angelic and demonic activity. Ephesians 1:20 says that God “raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.” But Ephesians 6:12 speaks of evil forces in the same realm: “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against . . . the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

As flesh-and-blood humans, we have very little understanding of the spirit world. We cannot see, hear, or touch it. However, the Bible assumes it, and we can glean insight into a world we cannot see by studying what God tells us about it. First of all, God is spirit (John 4:24). He exists outside the bounds of time, space, and matter. His home is called heaven (Acts 7:55; Isaiah 63:15), but this is a distinct place, not to be confused with “the heavens,” referring to the atmosphere (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 148:4), or the “heavenly realms,” which encompass all spirit beings. In God’s heaven, He sits on a throne (Matthew 23:22; Hebrews 4:16), surrounded by adoring angels (Revelation 7:11; Psalm 99:1) who exist to serve God and minister to His saints (Hebrews 1:14; Matthew 4:11; Genesis 19:1). Angels also have the ability to appear as men when sent to deliver messages from God (Genesis 18:2, 16–17; 19:1–2; Daniel 10:5–6).

However, the dark side of the heavenly realms belongs to Satan and his evil spirits. Satan is not the counterpart to God. God has no challenger. Satan is a created being who has only the power God allows him to have for only as long as God allows it (Isaiah 14:12; Luke 22:31; Revelation 12:12). Yet, for reasons known only to God, Satan and his minions are allowed to wreak havoc upon the earth and the servants of God—if unchecked by spiritual warfare and the holy angels. Daniel 10 gives us the best glimpse into what happens in this world we cannot see. An angel was dispatched by God to deliver a message to Daniel as he prayed, but the messenger was detained for three weeks by “the prince of Persia,” a demon (verse 13). The angel later told Daniel that he had to have help from Michael the archangel in order to prevail and continue on the assignment God had given him.

This glimpse into the heavenly realms helps us understand a few things. First, we learn that there is fierce warfare taking place at all times. Satan and his demons are actively working to thwart the plans of God and destroy whatever they can (see John 10:10). If a mighty angel on a mission from God could be detained by demonic forces, then demons must have great power. Second, God does not leave His children defenseless against this evil army. Second Corinthians 10:4 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” Ephesians 6:11–17 tells us exactly what armor we need to stand firm against the temptations and schemes of the devil. In ourselves, we are no match for Satan’s devices. We need spiritual armor to fight spiritual battles. The third truth we can learn from the Daniel passage is that prayer gets God’s attention and that His answer is on the way. There are forces unknown to us that may interfere with God’s desire to aid us, and we must continue to persevere in prayer until the answer comes (see Luke 18:1; Ephesians 6:18).

The heavenly realms are as real as the earthly realms. We will spend most of our lives living in the heavenly realms (2 Corinthians 5:1; 1 John 5:11). In contrast, our earthly existence is only a “vapor that appears for a little while and is gone” (James 4:14). Physical battles may seem intense, but the results are temporary. However, spiritual battles have eternal consequences. When we live our earthly lives in recognition of the unseen battles that rage all around us, we will be more careful about what we say and do (Ephesians 5:15–16; 2 Corinthians 2:11). We will be faithful to utilize our weapons of prayer and the armor of God, knowing that the real battles are fought and won in the heavenly realms.
