Hosted by TruLight Ministries – The Place of Truth

The belt of truth is the first piece of the “full armor of God” to be listed in Ephesians 6:10–17. The passage begins with the admonition from the apostle Paul to “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” This is the key to understanding the armor of God. All the pieces of the armor belong to Him and come from Him. Truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, and salvation—all are gifts of God to His people for their defense. All except “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” (verse 17) are defensive in nature. All are designed to help us “stand against the schemes of the devil” (verse 11). The belt of truth is the first part of the armor listed because, without truth, we are lost, and the schemes of the devil will surely overpower us.
It is fitting that the belt of truth is the first piece of the whole armor of God. Jesus is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we come to God. Therefore, truth is of the utmost importance in the life of a Christian. Without truth, the rest of the armor would be of no use to us because we would not have the Spirit of truth (John 15:26).
In referring to the whole armor of God, Paul invokes the image of a soldier ready for battle. The belt of a Roman soldier in Paul’s day was not a simple leather strap such as we wear today. It was a thick, heavy leather and metal band with a protective piece hanging down from the front of it. The belt held the soldier’s sword and other weapons. The belt of truth of the spiritual armor holds the sword of the Spirit, linking truth and the Word of God (cf. John 17:17). The Word of God is truth.
Depending on the translation of Ephesians 6:14, we are to fasten the belt of truth around us (ISV), buckle the belt around our waists (NIV), gird our waists with truth (NKJV), or gird our loins with truth (NASB). No matter the wording, we are to actively lay hold of the truth and use it. The belt of truth is a crucial piece of defensive armor guarding our inmost being in the battle against the lies and deceptions of the enemy. Without an understanding of truth, we are left vulnerable to being “carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming” (Ephesians 4:14). The belt of truth protects us and prepares us for the battle that is part of every Christian’s life.

Bible Teaching of the Day
The apostle Paul was a master at taking complex doctrinal truths and breaking them down into practical life applications. Here is where we land in Ephesians 4:17—5:21, as Paul lays out concrete “dos and don’ts” for everyday, holy, Christlike living. One thing we must practice if we want to live as Jesus calls us to, explains Paul, is to “do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” (Ephesians 4:29, NKJV).
Paul’s exhortation sounds much like the old maxim, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” The Greek word sapros, translated as “corrupt” (KJV, NKJV), “unwholesome” (NIV), and “foul or abusive” (NLT), means “not in good condition (damaged or decayed); hence unsound, bad, worthless and useless.” The term was used to describe rotten fruit or decaying trees. When used in the context of corrupt words or foul language, this kind of talk—whether deceitful, insensitive or offensive—is in one way or another damaging or hurtful to the hearer. Instead of dragging others down with our words, everything we say should be good and helpful so that we encourage and build up those who hear them. Only then can we walk in the holiness and purity of Christ.
Paul repeated, “Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God” (Ephesians 5:4, NLT). To the Colossians, he wrote, “You must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips” (Colossians 3:8).
Jesus taught that the words we speak reveal what is in our hearts: “Make a tree good, and then its fruit will be good. Or make a tree rotten, and then its fruit will be rotten. A person can recognize a tree by its fruit. . . . Your mouth says what comes from inside you. Good people do the good things that are in them. But evil people do the evil things that are in them. I can guarantee that on judgment day people will have to give an account of every careless word they say. By your words you will be declared innocent, or by your words you will be declared guilty” (Matthew 12:3–37, GW; see also Matthew 15:19; Luke 6:45). One day, we will have to answer to God for every careless or corrupt word that proceeds from our mouths. If we can’t say something edifying, we are better off saying nothing at all.
James also stressed the influence of our words for good or evil, to bless or curse, heal or destroy (James 3:1–12). Solomon counseled, “Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips” (Proverbs 4:24). In Proverbs, the words that come out of our mouths are revealers of our character: “The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly” (Proverbs 15:2, ESV; see also Proverbs 11:11; 15:28). “The words of the wicked are like a murderous ambush, but the words of the godly save lives” (Proverbs 12:6, NLT). Corrupt words reflect rottenness in one’s heart and produce ruin, while gracious words reveal a heart after God, generating goodness and life.
Our ability to communicate with words is a priceless and powerful gift from God. As the only creatures He created in His own image, speaking is one way we reflect God’s likeness (Genesis 1:26). The Lord spoke the world into existence (Hebrews 11:3), and, in a much smaller way, we can also speak words of life (Proverbs 10:11; 18:21). When we “let our speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt,” we offer a welcoming and enticing word to those who don’t know Christ (Colossians 4:6, ESV).
If we genuinely want to “live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people” (Philippians 2:15, NLT), we will ask God to change our hearts so that no corrupt words proceed from our mouths. We will pray for the Lord to purify our hearts and renew our spirits (Psalm 51:10) so that we might “delight in truth in the inward being” and “wisdom in the secret heart” (Psalm 51:6, ESV). As we seek inner transformation, the Holy Spirit will fill our hearts with the truth, love, and righteousness of Christ so that only what is good, helpful, and pleasing to God comes out of our mouths.

Today’s Devotional
Disappointed with God is not necessarily wrong or sinful; rather, it is a part of the human condition. The word disappointment means “a feeling of dissatisfaction when one’s hopes, desires, and expectations fail to come to pass.” When God somehow fails to satisfy our hopes or does not live up to our expectations, disappointment inevitably follows. If God does not perform in the manner we think He should, we become disillusioned with Him and dissatisfied with His performance. This can lead to a wavering faith in God, especially in His sovereignty and His goodness.
When God does not act when we think He should act, it is not because He is unable to do so. Rather, He simply chooses not to. While this might seem an arbitrary or capricious act on His part, the exact opposite is true. God chooses to act or not to act according to His perfect and holy will in order to bring about His righteous purposes. Nothing happens that is out of God’s plan. He has control of every molecule that floats around in the universe, and God’s will encompasses every act and decision made by every person throughout the world at all times. He tells us in Isaiah 46:11, “From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.” Even the birds are somehow part of His foreordained plan. Furthermore, there are times when He chooses to let us know His plans (Isaiah 46:10), and times when He does not. Sometimes we understand what He is doing; sometimes we do not (Isaiah 55:9). One thing we do know for sure: if we belong to Him, whatever He does will be to our benefit, whether or not we understand it (Romans 8:28).
The key to avoiding disappointment with God is to align our wills with His and to submit to His will in all things. Doing so will not only keep us from being disappointed with God, but it will also preclude grumbling and complaining about the events that occur in our lives. The Israelites in the desert griped and questioned God on several occasions, despite having seen miraculous displays of His power in the parting of the Red Sea, the provision of manna and quail in the wilderness, and the glory of the Lord that followed them in the form of a pillar of fire (Exodus 15–16; Numbers 14:2-37). Despite God’s continual faithfulness to His people, they grumbled and were disappointed with God because He did not act as they thought He should. Rather than submitting to His will and trusting Him, they were in a constant state of turmoil and confusion.
When we align our wills with God’s will and when we can say, with Jesus, “Not my will but yours be done” (Luke 22:42), then we find the contentment Paul spoke of in 1 Timothy 6:6-10 and Philippians 4:11-12. Paul had learned to be content with whatever God sent his way. He trusted God and submitted to His will, knowing that a holy, righteous, perfect, loving, and merciful God would work all things together for his good because that is what He promised. When we see God in that light, we cannot possibly be disappointed with Him. Rather, we submit willingly to our heavenly Father, knowing that His will is perfect and that everything He brings to pass in our lives will be for our good and His glory.

Take Courage:
Spotify is one of the musical wonders of the Internet. It helps you create your own personal radio station by allowing you to choose music that you like. A piece of music is played and there is a button that you press to indicate whether you like the music or not. Eventually, you have a group of songs and pieces of music that you like and that are your choice.
Unfortunately, we sometimes do this with the Bible. People may choose Bible texts that they like and ignore others that they don’t like. However, the Psalmist looked at God’s Word in a different way: “All your decrees are right and trustworthy.” (Psalm 119:160) The apostle Paul told Timothy, a young pastor, “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching in the truth.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
The Scriptures were very important to Jesus ( Matt 5:17,18 ), but He interpreted them differently from the spiritual leaders of His day. To Him, you shall not murder was the same as being angry with your brother ( Matt 5:21,22 ). The Lord certainly did not treat the Word in such a way that only what we like is acceptable. On the contrary, He is concerned with the motivation when we read the Word and apply it in our lives.
As we study the Word and make it our own, we will come to know Him better and desire to honor Him.
When you open your Bible, ask the Author to open your heart.

Bible Prophecy in the News
On the REAL Birthday of Jesus = 23 rd. of September 2025.
The UN will Vote on the Two State Solution. THE PLAN / THE VOTE: Giving the Palestinians their own Country in Israel. Judea and Samaria will be Given to the Palestinian’s called Palestine.

This September, the world will take one more dangerous step toward disaster. The Beginning of the LAST DAYS
At the United Nations General Assembly, a growing coalition of nations—once counted as friends of Israel—will formally push to recognize a Palestinian state. Canada. France. The United Kingdom. Nations who once stood against terrorism are now preparing to reward it with legitimacy, flags, and U.N. seats.
Make no mistake: this is not about peace. It’s about power. It’s about appeasing an ideology that has raised its children to hate Jews and murder Israelis. And it’s about something even more sobering for believers: this is another step to fulfilling bible prophecy.
The Major Powers Behind the Push
France, co-chairing a UN summit with Saudi Arabia, has confirmed it will recognize a Palestinian state this September. Canada—once a bold ally of Israel—has caved under pressure, linking recognition to vague “reforms” within the Palestinian Authority. And the UK has issued an ultimatum: either Israel halts its operations in Gaza and abandons future annexation efforts, or London will proceed with recognition.
These decisions are not occurring in isolation. Ireland, Norway, Spain, Slovenia, and others joined the chorus in 2024. By this fall, more than 147 of the 193 UN member states will recognize a Palestinian state—roughly 75% of the global community.
In other words, the world is uniting to divide the land of Israel.
Dividing the Land = Defying the Lord
For those who take the Word of God seriously, this is no small diplomatic debate. Scripture warns—repeatedly—that dividing the land of Israel is a direct provocation against God’s purposes.
“I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for… dividing up my land.” —Joel 3:2
“On that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people… and all who try to lift it will hurt themselves.” —Zechariah 12:3
In their rush to impose a “solution,” the nations are sowing the seeds of divine wrath. They believe they are peacemakers, but in reality, they are playing with fire—eternal fire.
This international movement eerily resembles the prophesied global alignment against Jerusalem. And though the final chapter of history has not yet arrived, we are watching the table being set.
Practical and Moral Dangers of a Palestinian State
This is not just spiritually reckless—it’s politically insane. Here are five reasons why the creation of a Palestinian state in today’s conditions will only lead to more violence, not peace:
1. A Generation Taught to Hate
The Palestinian Authority has spent decades glorifying violence, naming schools after terrorists, and broadcasting genocidal messages on state-run media. The children of Gaza and the West Bank have not been raised for peace—they’ve been raised for martyrdom. Creating a state under this education system is not justice. It is state-sponsored hatred.
2. Terrorism Will Get Closer, Not Further
After Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, it got rockets in return. Do we really believe that creating a terror state right next to Jerusalem will bring quiet? Recognition will embolden radicals, not restrain them. The frontline will move from the border to the bedroom communities of Tel Aviv.
3. The Palestinian Authority Pays Killers
Yes, you read that right. The PA operates a “pay for slay” policy—giving monthly stipends to the families of terrorists who kill Jews. This isn’t just an evil practice—it’s taxpayer-funded jihad. And yet the West is rushing to bless this regime with full statehood.
4. The West Is Rewarding Bloodshed
Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, slaughtering 1,200 people and kidnapping over 250. In response, what has the international community done? Sanctioned Israel. Condemned its defense. And now, rewarded the ideology that made those attacks possible by granting its supporters the keys to a nation.
5. No Real Difference Between PA and Hamas
Let’s be clear: while Hamas fires the rockets, the Palestinian Authority writes the checks and cheers from the sidelines. The ideological difference is minimal. Both parties reject the Jewish state’s right to exist. Both promote “return” fantasies that mean the destruction of Israel. Recognition won’t elevate moderates—it will hand radicals a microphone.
6. Jerusalem Will Be the Next Battleground
A recognized Palestinian state will not be satisfied with the West Bank. The heart of their campaign has always been Jerusalem—particularly East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. Once statehood is secured, international pressure will mount to divide the Holy City. That, according to Zechariah 14, is the line God Himself will not allow the nations to cross without consequences.
The Clock Is Ticking
We are living in days of global deception. What is being sold as “peace” is in fact the reward of terrorism. What is being presented as diplomacy is, in truth, a direct challenge to God’s covenant with Israel.
The nations of the earth may gather to vote, legislate, and divide—but the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will not be mocked. His promises still stand. And those who seek to divide what He has declared indivisible will find themselves facing something far more fearsome than public opinion: the judgment of the Lord of Hosts.
Let the Church be watchful. Let the people of God be vocal. And let every believer remember: the fate of nations is not determined in the United Nations—but in the throne room of Heaven.
The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) will open on September 9, 2025, with the General Debate commencing on September 23, 2025, at the UN Headquarters in New York. This annual event serves as a key forum for all 193 member states to discuss global issues and develop international policies.

Signs of the Times
When Age Verification Becomes A Trojan Horse For Total Surveillance

Once a digital identity system is in place, it will not be used solely for safety. It will be used for control. Just ask the Chinese.
At first glance, efforts to protect children online by requiring age verification seem like common sense. Who wouldn’t want to keep vulnerable minds away from toxic content, online predators, or addictive algorithms?
But beneath the well-meaning language of “safety” lies a troubling reality: the only way to verify age online is to identify the user–and once every digital door is locked until you prove who you are, the internet ceases to be a place of freedom and becomes something else entirely: a surveillance grid.
Just look at what’s happening in Australia. The government there has now banned anyone under 16 from having a YouTube account. That’s on top of previous restrictions on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. But here’s the catch: to enforce it, platforms are being required to verify the age of every single user, not just those suspected of being underage.
In other words, everyone will have to prove their age to use everyday online services. And while the exact method hasn’t been finalized, one thing is clear: it will involve linking your online presence to some form of offline identity. Whether through biometric scans, government-issued documents, or telecom verification, your digital self will be authenticated–and logged.
And that is where the real danger lies.
The moment your everyday internet use becomes linked to your real-world identity, a line has been crossed. Every click, every comment, every like, every video you watch, every purchase you make, and every opinion you share becomes traceable–not just by platforms, but by any government or entity with access to that system. Your digital footprint is no longer just metadata. It is you.
This isn’t a paranoid fantasy. It’s the logical direction this path leads.
Australia may be the latest to roll this out, but other countries are watching. In Europe, digital identity wallets are in the works. In the U.S., lawmakers have floated age-verification laws that would require platforms to collect government IDs. In the UK, “age assurance” is already being written into law. What begins as a measure to protect minors quickly becomes a framework for identifying everyone.
And once that digital identity system is in place, it will not be used solely for safety. It will be used for control.
We’ve already seen where this kind of system leads. In China, the government has implemented a vast social credit system that assigns every citizen a score based on their behavior–both online and offline. If you speak out against the government, break a minor rule, or associate with someone who’s considered undesirable, your score can drop.
The consequences are real: loss of travel privileges, job opportunities, school access, and even public shaming. Cameras, databases, and biometric tracking work together to monitor citizens in real time. The system runs on the exact infrastructure we are now discussing–digital identity tied to surveillance and enforced conformity. It is not a distant nightmare. It is a living warning.
What begins as protection becomes pretext. And what begins with children will eventually include us all.
Once anonymity online is lost, it will not be recovered. Once identity is required to speak, to watch, to share, or to explore, freedom will slowly suffocate under the weight of its own rules.
Yes, children need protection. But so do citizens. And the question we must ask is this: is the cost of protecting a few worth stripping freedom from everyone?
There are other ways to safeguard young people–tools that empower parents, schools, and communities. But a one-size-fits-all solution that requires every internet user to submit to identity checks is not protection. It is pretext.
And that pretext leads us toward a world where your every online moment is recorded, analyzed, and stored. Where dissent is noticed. Where opinions are scored. Where silence becomes safer than speech.
This is not paranoia. It is the price of passivity.
A digital ID may seem harmless. But it’s the foundation of something far more dangerous: a system where the right to exist freely online is no longer assumed, but earned–and revocable.
We must not trade liberty for illusion. Once you need permission to log in, you’ve already logged out of freedom.
‘You Will Be Like God’: The False Gospel Of Transhumanism

The race to merge man with machine is no longer confined to the pages of science fiction. It’s unfolding right now-in biotech labs, boardrooms, and elite tech circles-with a conviction that borders on religious zeal. The new gospel is clear: humanity is broken, death is the enemy, and salvation will come through silicon, not Scripture.
