LOVE ONE ANOTHER

In John 13:34 Jesus taught, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Then He added, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (verse 35). How do we do this? What does it mean to love one another?

The “one another” in these verses is a reference to fellow believers. A distinguishing mark of being a follower of Christ is a deep, sincere love for brothers and sisters in Christ. The apostle John reminds us of this fact elsewhere: “He has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister” (1 John 4:21).

In giving this command, Jesus did something the world had never seen before—He created a group identified by one thing: love. There are many groups in the world, and they identify themselves in any number of ways: by skin color, by uniform, by shared interest, by alma mater, etc. One group has tattoos and piercings; another group abstains from meat; yet another group wears fezzes—the ways people categorize themselves are endless. But the church is unique. For the first and only time in history, Jesus created a group whose identifying factor is love. Skin color doesn’t matter. Native language doesn’t matter. There are no rules about diet or uniforms or wearing funny hats. Followers of Christ are identified by their love for each other.

The early church demonstrated the type of love Jesus was talking about. There were people in Jerusalem from all over the known world (Acts 2:9–11). Those who were saved got together and immediately began meeting each other’s needs: “All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need” (Acts 2:44–45). This was love in action, and you can be sure it made an impression on the people of that city.

Jesus’ statements in John 13:34–35 raise a couple of other questions that may be good to answer. First, how does Jesus love? He loves unconditionally (Romans 5:8), sacrificially (2 Corinthians 5:21), with forgiveness (Ephesians 4:32), and eternally (Romans 8:38–39). At the same time, Jesus’ love is holy—characterized by transcendent moral purity—because He is holy (Hebrews 7:26). The culmination of Christ’s amazing love for us is His death on the cross, burial, and bodily resurrection (1 John 4:9–10). Believers are to love each other like that.

Second, how then can the believer in Christ love as Christ loved? The believer in Christ has the Holy Spirit living within him (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). By obeying the Spirit, through the Word of God, the believer can love like Christ does. He shows that unconditional, sacrificial, forgiving love to fellow believers, but it doesn’t stop there. He also shows the love of Christ to friends, to family members, to coworkers, etc. (Ephesians 5:18–6:4; Galatians 5:16, 22–23). Even enemies are the recipients of Christ’s love (see Matthew 5:43–48).

Christ’s love displayed through the believer is unlike the “love” generated by the flesh, which can be selfish, egotistical, unforgiving, and insincere. First Corinthians 13:4–8 gives a wonderful description of what Christ’s love will be like in and through the believer who walks in the Spirit.

People don’t naturally love with a 1 Corinthians 13-type love. To love like that, there must be a change of heart. A person must realize that he is a sinner before God and understand that Christ died on the cross and rose again to provide him forgiveness; then he must make the decision to accept Christ as his personal Savior. At that point he is forgiven by Christ and receives God’s gift of eternal life—in fact, he becomes a participant in the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). In Christ he knows that he is genuinely loved by God. The new life the believer receives includes a new capacity to love like Christ loves, for the believer now has living within him the unconditional, sacrificial, forgiving, eternal, and holy love of God (Romans 5:5).

To love one another is to love fellow believers as Christ loves us. Those who love like Christ in the Holy Spirit’s power will give evidence that they are disciples, or learners, of Jesus Christ.

Toe het Hy bygevoeg: “As julle mekaar liefhet, sal almal weet dat julle my dissipels is” (vers 35).

Gelowiges moet mekaar so liefhê.

Bible Teaching of the Day

Incompetent Shepherds

In Ezekiel 34:1–31, Israel’s leaders are compared to incompetent shepherds who failed to care for their flock. The people of Israel were the sheep of God’s flock, and they should have been cared for (Psalm 95:7; 100:3).

Ezekiel reveals that, through self-centered leadership, God’s sheep were abused, oppressed, and left to scatter. As such, they were vulnerable to attacks from “wild animals” (Ezekiel 34:8), who represent predatory foreign nations like Babylon. God announced that He will do away with the self-absorbed shepherds (verses 10) and rescue His people: “I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered” (Ezekiel 34:11–12, ESV).

The sheep/shepherd theme runs throughout the Scriptures. Shepherding was a common vocation in Israel’s culture. Many of Israel’s patriarchs engaged in the occupation (Genesis 46:32). Men, women, and children all worked as shepherds in the Bible (Genesis 29:6; 1 Samuel 16:11; 17:15). The job of shepherding involved leading sheep to pasture for food and fresh water, providing shelter and protection, and caring for the injured and ill among the flock.

In Ezekiel, Israel’s human leaders neglect, exploit, and mislead the flock. Instead of nurturing the sheep, they only look out for themselves. For this reason, God says, “I myself will search for my sheep.” This metaphor of God caring for His sheep appears in Isaiah 40:11: “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young” (see also Micah 7:14). Perhaps the finest example of God leading us like a shepherd is Psalm 23.

One of the oldest titles of God in the Bible is “Shepherd” (Genesis 49:24). The psalmist Asaph describes how God brought Israel out of Egypt “like a flock; he led them like sheep through the wilderness. He guided them safely, so they were unafraid; but the sea engulfed their enemies” (Psalm 78:52–53).

The Gospels describe Jesus Christ as the ultimate compassionate shepherd. He cares for “sheep without a shepherd” (Matthew 9:36; see also Mark 6:34). He is the “good shepherd” (John 10:11, 14), the “great Shepherd of the sheep” (Hebrews 13:20), and the “Chief Shepherd” (1 Peter 5:4).

God is in the business of seeking and saving lost sheep (John 10:16). Perhaps His words, “I myself will search for my sheep,” resound most forcefully in Christ’s parable of the lost sheep:

If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, “Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.” In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away! (Luke 15:4–7, NLT).

Just as the people of Israel were the sheep of God’s flock, Christians today are the sheep of Christ’s flock (Luke 12:32; Matthew 10:16). Israel had God-appointed spiritual under-shepherds, just as New Testament believers do (John 21:15–17). In Acts, Paul told the Ephesian elders to “keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood” (Acts 20:28).

The apostle Peter urged church leaders to take their responsibilities seriously: “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away” (1 Peter 5:2–4).

False, self-interested spiritual shepherds existed in ancient Israel, and equally troublesome shepherds are active in the church today (Acts 20:29; Matthew 7:15; John 10:1). The Lord held Israel’s elders accountable and brought judgment against the corrupt ones (Ezekiel 34:7–19; Isaiah 3:13–15; 5:8; Amos 5:12). And He continues to hold accountable and bring judgment on fraudulent spiritual leaders to this day (Matthew 23:4–15).

God is personally invested in caring for His sheep. If one of His appointed leaders takes advantage of the flock, the Lord Himself promises to step into the role of caring shepherd to rescue and restore His sheep (Zechariah 10:3; 11:7). He removes the incompetent shepherd from tending the flock and says, “I myself will search for my sheep. I will rescue them and care for them.”

Bybel Lering vir die Dag

Onbevoegde Herders

Herderskap was ‘n algemene beroep in Israel se kultuur.

Today’s Devotional

ONE WHOLE BODY

Humanly speaking, Christians are a diverse lot. We come from every nation, tribe, and people group (Revelation 7:9). We speak different languages, possess a variety of skin tones, and reflect unique cultures and social classes. But for all who are members of Christ’s family, race, rank, and gender lose their significance: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28, ESV).

Every person comes to Jesus Christ the same way—by grace through faith and repentance from sin (Acts 16:30–31; Ephesians 2:8; 2 Peter 3:9; Mark 1:15). “Jew nor Greek” speaks of race, nationality, and ethnicity. “Slave nor free” refers to our rank, social class, or profession. And “male and female” indicates our gender. These distinctions lose their importance in the heavenly Father’s eyes. We are all one in Christ His Son.

The apostle Paul explained, “The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:12–13, NLT). Our spiritual connection unites us into one faith and one family: “For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all” (Ephesians 4:4–6, NLT).

We are all one in Christ has wide-ranging implications. First, it calls for unity and harmony among brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. We are to walk in a manner worthy of our calling, like Jesus, showing humility, gentleness, patience, “bearing with one another in love,” and making “every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:1–3).

We can embrace our differences, even celebrate them, as long as “above all” we clothe ourselves “with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony” (Colossians 3:14, NLT; see also Ephesians 5:2). The unity of believers is emphasized in Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer as the Lord prays that “all be one, just as you and I are one . . . so that the world will believe you sent me. . . . May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me” (John 17:21–23). Relational unity in the church is the best witness to the reality of Jesus Christ and God to the world.

The unity Christ prayed for is not an organizational unity or a denominational unity but a spiritual unity based on faith in Christ and the glory of God within. “Christian harmony is not based on the externals of the flesh but the internals and eternals of the Spirit in the inner person. We must look beyond the elements of our first birth—race, color, abilities, etc.—and build our fellowship on the essentials of our new birth” (Warren Wiersbe, Be Transformed, Victor Books, 1989, p. 80).

Discrimination, prejudice, and racism have existed in every generation, but there is no room for such bias in God’s family. As Paul so eloquently stated, “For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us” (Ephesians 2:14, NLT). God made human beings—the entire human race—in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26–27). If we hate someone because of the color of his skin, are we not hating a part of God’s image?

Paul also said, “In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us” (Colossians 3:11, NLT). How can we hate or discriminate against someone if Christ our Savior lives in him? Every form of condescension, partiality, and intolerance based on race, rank, and gender must be repented of and nailed to the cross because we are all one in Jesus Christ.

Christians should be united in passion, plan, and purpose, just as the Father and Son are united in the same. Christians are all treasure-bearing earthen vessels (2 Corinthians 4:7). Christians are all redeemed by the same blood; we are all going to the same heaven; we have a shared aspiration, a shared enemy, and a shared hope and joy.

Vandag se Bemoediging

EEN HELE LIGGAAM

Menslik gesproke is Christene ‘n diverse klomp.

Christene is almal skatdraende erdehouers (2 Korintiërs 4:7).

Sleeper Agents, Open Borders, And The Next 9/11 – But Biological

On Tuesday, the alarm bell rang–but only a few were listening. Federal authorities in Detroit announced the arrest of two Chinese nationals for attempting to smuggle a “dangerous biological pathogen” into the United States. The fungus they carried–Fusarium graminearum–is no minor threat. It’s a known destroyer of crops like wheat, barley, and rice.

Federal authorities in Detroit announced the arrest of two Chinese nationals, Yunqing Jian and Zunyong Liu, for attempting to smuggle a “dangerous biological pathogen” into the United States. The fungus they carried–Fusarium graminearum–is no minor threat. It’s a known destroyer of crops like wheat, barley, and rice.

Not only does it cause billions in agricultural damage worldwide each year, but its toxins can also sicken humans and livestock. In short, this wasn’t just scientific curiosity or academic mischief–it was a potential act of agroterrorism.

U.S. Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon Jr. didn’t mince words. He called it a “potential agroterrorism weapon” and warned that one of the suspects is a “loyal member of the Chinese Communist Party.” Let that sink in. A foreign agent, connected to the Chinese regime, was smuggling a biological agent into the American heartland–possibly to deploy it on our farms, right under our noses.

This wasn’t a Hollywood thriller. This happened. And it may only be the tip of the iceberg.

A Hidden War, Fought in Laboratories and Airports

The Chinese Communist Party has embedded agents in American research institutions for decades. They don’t wear uniforms. They wear lab coats, student badges, or diplomatic suits. They come not with bullets, but with USB drives and biological samples. They speak the language of science, but their objectives are strategic.

Electronic communications revealed that Jian had previously smuggled biological materials into the U.S. Her boyfriend Liu lied to federal authorities before finally admitting to bringing in the fungus. The question isn’t whether they were acting alone or under government orders. The real danger lies in this: what if they are not alone at all?

We often think of biological weapons as vials in a terrorist’s suitcase or engineered viruses in a rogue lab. But in reality, it can be as simple–and as devastating–as a fungus on a farm. One infected shipment. One careless contamination. One malicious agent. The result? Our wheat fields wither. Livestock die. Prices skyrocket. Supermarket shelves go bare. And the panic begins.

Open Borders and Open Threats

In an age of porous borders and chaotic immigration policy, how many more agents like Jian and Liu have slipped through?

We’re not just talking about pathogens smuggled through airport customs. We’re talking about sleeper agents–men and women who’ve quietly settled into American life, awaiting orders. Orders that could be triggered by war over Taiwan, an Israeli strike on Iran, or a sudden global conflict. If that moment comes, who’s to say those already inside our nation won’t be the first to strike?

And how would they strike? The Department of Homeland Security lays it out in chilling detail:

Aerosol dispersal in subways or public buildings.

Contaminated food or water supplies.

Human carriers, deliberately infecting others.

Infected animals, silently spreading disease.

Insects, used as living vectors.

Even the U.S. mail system could become a delivery mechanism of death.

It sounds like science fiction–until it’s not. Consider Israel. Recently, its enemies resorted to arson as a form of attack. Entire fields were set ablaze. Meanwhile, Ukraine has carried out long-range drone strikes deep inside Russia, proving how even distant territories are no longer safe behind borders. War no longer starts at the front line–it starts at your doorstep.

America is not immune.

What If the Next 9/11 Isn’t a Bomb, But a Spore?

Biological attacks are especially terrifying because they are invisible at first. There’s no mushroom cloud, no siren. Just symptoms. Coughs. Cattle dying in the fields. Crops turning black. Panic rising in cities.

What happens when a weaponized flu variant hits New York? What if wheat blight devastates the Midwest in one harvest season? What happens to our food, our economy, our confidence as a nation?

We spend billions on fighter jets and missile systems, but a few grams of weaponized anthrax–or a carefully chosen fungus–could do more damage than an invading army.

And yet, how easy would it be for a determined adversary to walk across our border with such a pathogen? Our own officials admit they cannot track everyone. We have open sections of border protected by little more than fences and cameras. Even in our airports, the amount of cargo screened for biological threats is shockingly low.

It’s Not a Matter of If. It’s a Matter of When.

China, Iran, North Korea, and even Russia have spent decades developing asymmetrical warfare tactics. Not just nukes and tanks–but silent weapons. They know they can’t win a conventional war with the U.S. But they don’t have to. A well-timed biological release could cripple our economy, sow internal chaos, and divide our people against each other.

What we’re facing is not just a biological threat. It’s a national security crisis–a ticking time bomb wrapped in a petri dish.

A Call to Wake Up

This isn’t a partisan issue. It’s not about race or immigration status. It’s about national survival.

We need stronger biosecurity at our borders and ports. We need strict vetting for foreign nationals entering sensitive academic fields. We need surveillance not only of weapons but of biological materials. And we need to wake up to the fact that America is being infiltrated–not with tanks, but with toxins.

Tuesday’s arrests should have been front-page news everywhere. But they weren’t. The country yawned. Politicians shrugged. And the quiet war goes on.

But one day, a different story may break–one with headlines we never imagined: Blight Destroys Midwest Harvest. New Pathogen Sweeps Coastal Cities. Unknown Virus Claims Thousands.

If that day comes, the only question that will matter is this: Why didn’t we stop it when we had the chance?

Trump/Musk Rocket Explodes

Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s alliance took off like one of SpaceX’s rockets. It was supercharged and soared high. And then it blew up.

The spectacular flame out Thursday peaked as Trump threatened to cut Musk’s government contracts and Musk claimed that Trump’s administration hasn’t released all the records related to sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein because Trump is mentioned in them.

The tech entrepreneur even shared a post on social media calling for Trump’s impeachment and skewered the president’s signature tariffs, predicting a recession this year.

The messy blow-up between the president of the United States and the world’s richest man played out on their respective social media platforms after Trump was asked during a White House meeting with Germany’s new leader about Musk’s criticism of his spending bill.

Trump had largely remained silent as Musk stewed over the last few days on his social media platform X, condemning the president’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill.” But Trump clapped back Thursday in the Oval Office, saying he was “very disappointed in Musk.”

Musk responded on social media in real time. Trump, who was supposed to be spending Thursday discussing an end to the Russia-Ukraine war with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, ratcheted up the stakes when he turned to his own social media network, Truth Social, and threatened to use the U.S. government to hurt Musk’s bottom line by going after contracts held by his internet company Starlink and rocket company SpaceX.

“The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts,” Trump wrote on his social media network.

Gog and Magog Update

Why A Nuclear Agreement With Iran Is Not Enough

If a deal is reached, Iran is not going to stop its financial and military support for its terror proxies in the Middle East, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthi militia in Yemen. Iran, in short, is not going to abandon its declared goal of obliterating the “Zionist entity” (“the Little Satan”) or the United States (“the Great Satan”).

As talks between Washington and Tehran are underway to reach an agreement on Iran’s efforts to acquire nuclear weapons, even if a deal is reached, unless it features “anywhere, anytime” inspections, to which Iran has never agreed, Iran will secretly continue to develop nuclear weapons and cheat, cheat, cheat.

If such a deal is reached, Iran also is not going to stop its financial and military support for its terror proxies in the Middle East, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthi militia in Yemen. Iran, in short, is not going to abandon its declared goal of obliterating the “Zionist entity” (“the Little Satan”) or the United States (“the Great Satan”).

US President Donald J. Trump said on May 28 that he believes his administration is “very close to a solution” with Iran on a nuclear agreement. “Right now, I think they want to make a deal,” Trump said. “And if we can make a deal, I’d save a lot of lives.

These are the main reasons that address why an agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions is not enough.

The Iranian regime’s ongoing effort to acquire nuclear weapons is a huge problem, as are its repeated demands to enrich uranium (whatever could go wrong?) and threats to destroy Israel – especially with Iran’s proxy terror groups that also seek to destroy Israel.

If Trump is serious about preventing war and bloodshed in the Middle East, he must insist that any agreement with Iran’s mullahs include no centrifuges or uranium enrichment of any kind, and no support for Tehran’s terror proxies.

If something could possibly go wrong, unfortunately it will — leaving Trump with the legacy of delivering yet another laughably fake peace deal and of his presidency being that of another failed Barack Obama.

Were it not for Iran’s financial and military support, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and the Houthis would not have been able to fire thousands of rockets, ballistic missiles and explosive drones at Israel over the past 20 months.

Halting or limiting Iran’s uranium enrichment may be a positive development, but what about the hundreds of millions of dollars and the weapons it sends to its terror proxies? The Trump administration must demand an immediate halt to the funding and arming of the Iran-backed Islamist terror groups. Furthermore, it must demand that Iran’s leaders stop calling for the annihilation of Israel.

The same is true for the leaders of Qatar (such as here and here), as well Qatar’s personal insults against Trump himself.

As Trump was voicing optimism regarding the prospects of reaching a nuclear deal with the Iranian regime, Ali Akbar Velayati, senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, received a delegation of Hamas and PIJ officials in Tehran and discussed with them “the latest developments in the region, especially the situation in Palestine and the Gaza Strip.”

Iranian and Palestinian media outlets quoted Velayati as “assuring” the Hamas and PIJ officials that “the Zionist entity is doomed to disappear.” Hamas and PIJ, the second largest Iran-backed terror group in the Gaza Strip, participated in the October 7, 2023 invasion of Israel. At least 1,200 Israelis were murdered and thousands wounded on that day. Another 251 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped to the Gaza Strip, where 58 remain in captivity (only 20 are believed to be alive).

Velayati also “affirmed Iran’s solidarity with the [Palestinian] resistance groups and praised the victories of the Palestinian resistance [against Israel] as a rare achievement in the history of Islam,” according to media reports.

The meeting between Velayati and the Hamas and PIJ representatives shows that the Iranian regime has no intention to turn its back on its terror proxies, notwithstanding any possible future nuclear agreement with the US. The opposite is true. Velayati reassured the Palestinian terror leaders that the Iranian regime is determined to continue supporting them, to help them achieve their goal of murdering Jews and eliminating Israel. When the Iranian official talks about the “resistance,” he is referring to terrorism against Israel, including the October 7 massacre.

Velayati’s talk about the destruction of the “Zionist entity” shows that the Iranian regime does not intend to abandon its dream of wiping Israel off the map, and the US as well.

In the past few years, Khamenei has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and America. He was also quick to praise the October 7 massacre as a “logical and legal” action.

It is wrong and unrealistic to assume that Khamenei and his regime, if and when they sign a nuclear agreement with the Trump administration, would abandon their dream of destroying Israel and America. The previous nuclear agreement the Iranian regime signed with the Obama administration in 2015 did not stop the mullahs in Tehran from providing financial and military aid to the Islamist terror groups in the Middle East. That agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also did not see Iran’s leaders change their minds about destroying Israel.

Iran’s support for the Palestinian terror groups, Hezbollah and the Houthi militia has brought death and destruction on Palestinians, Lebanese and Yemenis. Iran’s regime is a threat not only to Israel, but also to the US.

“Iran’s openly stated goal is to destroy Israel, but the broader game is its perception of the United States as the ‘Great Satan,'” wrote Shishir Gupta, executive editor of the Hindustan Times, in April 2023.

“Iran’s strategy involves orchestrating various terrorist groups in the Middle East, with multifaceted objectives. Firstly, it seeks to dominate the Islamic world in the region, asserting its influence over other nations. Simultaneously, it aims to strike at the credibility of the United States, a long-standing adversary in Iranian foreign policy.”

The Trump administration would do well to take these issues into consideration before signing any agreement with Iran. Such an agreement, if reached, unfortunately will not mean that the Iranian regime has become America’s friend. As long as the mullahs continue to wish for the destruction of Israel and America, and to back Islamist terror groups, they should be treated as dangerous enemies of both Israel and the US.

HEALING ARTICLES AND PRAYER

TruLight Ministries offer a Wide Range of EYE OPENING Healing Articles and various Illnesses . Cancers and other Chronic Illness :

TruLight Ministries bied ‘n wye reeks OOGOPENENDE Genesingsartikels en verskeie siektes. Kankers en ander chroniese siektes:

“”” If 87% of diseases are a result of what goes on in our thought life, then
87% of diseases can be cured by sorting out our thought life. “””

Non-bacterial inflammation is where there is swelling and redness in the body in the absence ofinfection.Common diseases that involve non-bacterial inflammation include interstitialcystitis (inflammation of the bladder), prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate), ankylosing spondylitis (pain and stiffness in the spine) and myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle). Myocarditis is discussed on page 347 in the chapter on cardiovascular diseases and ankylosing spodylitis is explained on page 400.

I explained in the chapter on stress that when a person’s though life is dominated by fear and anxiety, a whole sequence of hormonal and chemical reactions are set into motion through the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is the area in the brain that is the connection between the mind and the body – it translates everything that is going on in a person’s thought life into a physical reaction. One of the effects of stage 2 and 3 of stress is activation of mast cells. Mast cells are part of the immune system that was designed to help you kill and fight off infections. When the mast cells are activated, they release chemicals that cause inflammation, for example histamine, prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Histamine increases the diameter of the blood vessels (vasodilation) as well as increasing their permeability. This allows the water (plasma) in blood to leak into the surrounding body tissues, which results in swelling and redness.

When you have an over production of histamine in your body, you have swelling. When youhave swelling you have pressure on your nerves and surrounding body structures and you have discomfort, irritation and/or pain. The spiritual root behind this is fear, anxiety and stress.

In non-bacterial inflammation, there is a second spiritual root that comes in which is a low self esteem, self-hatred, self-condemnation and guilt. This is where the chapter on autoimmune diseases is relevant as the immune system begins to attack the body in a specific area, such as the bladder, prostate, heart or bones in the spine. This results in damage to the body tissue and inflammation.

Interstitial Cystitis (Inflammation of the Bladder)

Before reading about your bladder problem, please make sure you have read the introduction above. Most bladder problems involve either infection or inflammation or both.

In interstitial cystitis there is inflammation and swelling of the tissue in the wall of the bladder due to excessive histamine production. Symptoms include a painful burning feeling when you pass urine, having to go to the toilet more than normal, urgency (i.e. when you feel you need to go to the toilet you have to get there quick!), blood in urine (haematuria) and/or pain above your pubic area. In two thirds of cases this is caused by bacterial infection. Bladder infections are related to fear, anxiety and stress. Fear and anxiety in your thought life puts your body into stage 2 and 3 of stress. In this toxic state, the hypothalamus in your brain stimulates the production of large quantities of stress hormones. One of these stress hormones is cortisol, which in excessive quantities, directly kills and prevents the production of the different cells of the immune system. When the immune system is compromised, bacteria are able to infect the bladder wall. Both the infection and direct stress related damage to the immune system cause an excessive production of histamine with resultant inflammation.

In one third of cases the inflammation of the bladder is not related to an infection – this condition is called abacterial cystitis in women and urethral syndrome in men. In this case, there is an overproduction of histamine, plus an autoimmune disorder where cells of the immune system are damaging the tissue in the bladder wall causing inflammation as well. Here there are two spiritual roots that need to be dealt with:

You have got to be prepared to change the way you think about yourself. You need to choose to see yourself as God sees you. Building a healthy self-esteem starts with learning who you are in Christ and establishing your identity and sense of self worth in Him. The chapter on page 498 will help you with this.

You also have to get the fear, anxiety and stress out of your thought life. Deal with those issues that are robbing you of your peace. Turn to the chapter on page 523.

Prostatitis

Before reading about prostatitis, please make sure you have read the introduction at the beginning of this chapter.

Prostatitis is inflammation of the prostate in men. This can be serious because it can eventually lead to prostate cancer. Similar to cystitis described above, prostatitis can result from infection or inflammation or both.

If the prostatitis involves infection you will have fevers and feel generally ill. In this case the spiritual root is fear, anxiety and stress. When the immune system is compromised, bacteria are able to infect the prostate. Both the infection and direct stress related damage to the immune system cause an excessive production of histamine with resultant inflammation.

Prostatitis can also be due to an allergic reaction, usually in men with asthma. Allergies are discussed in the chapter on page 206.

If the prostatitis is due to inflammation alone, there are two spiritual roots that need to be dealt with:

Fear, anxiety and stress – on page 523 is a chapter that will help you deal with this.

Low self-esteem, self-hatred, self-rejection, self-condemnation and guilt. Building a healthy self-esteem starts with knowing who you are in Christ and learning to see yourself as God sees you – turn to page 498.

IN THIS WEBSITE WE WILL ONLY CONCENTRATE ON THE FALSE DOCTRINES – DOCTRINES OF DEMONS IN CHRISTIANITY and not other Religions of the World.

There are countless religions in the world, with most religions having sub-sects within them. Generally speaking, all religions attempt to help people make sense of their purpose and existence in this world, explain what occurs in the afterlife, and declare whether or not there is a deity, and if so, how we relate to this deity. The seven world religions in the list below comprise over 95 percent of the world’s religious adherents. With each world religion is a link to a more detailed discussion of that religion’s beliefs and practices.

Introduction to the Bible – Bible Summary

Summary of the Book of 2
Timothy
Author
: 2 Timothy 1:1 identifies the author of the Book of 2 Timothy as the apostle
Paul.
Date of Writing: The Book of 2 Timothy was written in approximately A.D. 67, shortly
before the apostle Paul was put to death.
Purpose of Writing: Imprisoned in Rome yet again, the apostle Paul felt lonely and
abandoned. Paul recognized that his earthly life was likely coming to an end soon. The
Book of 2 Timothy is essentially Paul’s “last words.” Paul looked past his own
circumstances to express concern for the churches and specifically for Timothy. Paul
wanted to use his last words to encourage Timothy, and all other believers, to persevere
in faith (2 Timothy 3:14) and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 4:2).
Key Verses:
2 Timothy 1:7, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love
and of self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 4:2, “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct,
rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”
2 Timothy 4:7-8, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the
faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who
have longed for his appearing.”
Brief Summary: Paul encourages Timothy to remain passionate for Christ and to remain
firm in sound doctrine (2 Timothy 1:1-2, 13-14). Paul reminds Timothy to avoid ungodly
beliefs and practices and to flee from anything immoral (2 Timothy 2:14-26). In the end
times there will be both intense persecution and apostasy from the Christian faith (2
Timothy 3:1-17). Paul closes with an intense plea for believers to stand firm in the faith
and to finish the race strong (2 Timothy 4:1-8).
Connections: So concerned was Paul to warn Timothy and those he pastored of the
dangers of false teachers that he invoked the story of the Egyptian magicians who
opposed Moses (Exodus 7:11, 22; 8:7, 18, 19; 9:11). Although their names are not
mentioned in the Old Testament, tradition has it that these men instigated the building
of the golden calf and were killed with the rest of the idolaters (Exodus 32). Paul predicts
the same fate for those who resist the truth of Christ, their folly eventually being made
“clear to everyone” (2 Timothy 3:9).
Practical Application: It is easy to get side-tracked in the Christian life. We have to
keep our eyes on the prize—being rewarded in heaven by Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 4:8).
We must strive to avoid both false doctrine and ungodly practices. This can only be
accomplished by being grounded in our knowledge of God’s Word and firm in our
refusal to accept anything that is unbiblical.

Inleiding tot die Bybel – Bybel Samevatting

Opsomming van die Boek van 2
Timoteus
Skrywer:
apostel Paulus.
sou kom.
2 Timoteus 4:2 , “Verkondig die Woord; wees voorbereid in seisoen en buite seisoen;
geloof behou.
afgodedienaars doodgemaak is ( Eksodus 32 ).
almal duidelik” gemaak ( 2 Timoteus 3:9 ).
