Seek the Lord Your God with All your Heart and Soul !

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:4–5). This is known as the Shema, taken from the first word “hear” in Hebrew. Modern Jews consider the recital of the Shema both evening and morning to be one of their most sacred duties. It was cited by Jesus as the “greatest commandment in the Law” (Matthew 22:36–37).
This command seems to be impossible to obey. That’s because, in the natural state of man, it is impossible. There is no greater evidence of the inability of man to obey God’s Law than this one commandment. No human being with a fallen nature can possibly love God with all his heart, soul, and strength 24 hours a day. It’s humanly impossible. But to disobey any commandment of God is sin. Therefore, even without considering the sins we commit daily, we are all condemned by our inability to fulfill this one commandment. This is the reason Jesus continually reminded the Pharisees of their inability to keep the Law of God. He was trying to get them to see their utter spiritual bankruptcy and their need for a Savior. Without the cleansing of sin that He provides, and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit who lives in the hearts of the redeemed, loving God to any degree is impossible.
But, as Christians, we have been cleansed from sin and we do have the Spirit. So how do we begin to love God the way we should? Just as the man in Mark 9:24 asked God to help his unbelief, so too we can ask God to help us in areas where we don’t love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. It is His power that we need to do the impossible, and we begin by seeking and appropriating that power.
In most cases, our love and affection for God grows more intense as time goes by. Certainly, young Christians newly saved are very much aware of the love of God and their love for Him. But it is through the witness of God’s faithfulness during times of struggle and trial that a deep love for God grows and grows. Over time, we witness His compassion, mercy, grace, and love for us, as well as His hatred for sin, His holiness, and His righteousness. We cannot love someone we don’t know, so knowing Him should be our first priority. Those who pursue God and His righteousness, who take seriously the command to love Him above all else, are those who are consumed with the things of God. They are eager to study God’s Word, eager to pray, eager to obey and honor God in all things, and eager to share Jesus Christ with others. It is through these spiritual disciplines that the love for God grows and matures to the glory of God.
For the unbeliever, the fear of God is the fear of the judgment of God and eternal death, which is eternal separation from God (Luke 12:5; Hebrews 10:31). For the believer, the fear of God is something much different. The believer’s fear is reverence of God. Hebrews 12:28-29 is a good description of this: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ’God is a consuming fire.’” This reverence and awe are exactly what the fear of God means for Christians. This is the motivating factor for us to surrender to the Creator of the Universe.
Proverbs 1:7 declares, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.” Until we understand who God is and develop a reverential fear of Him, we cannot have true wisdom. True wisdom comes only from understanding who God is and that He is holy, just, and righteous. Deuteronomy 10:12, 20-21 records, “And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Fear the LORD your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name. He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.” The fear of God is the basis for our walking in His ways, serving Him, and, yes, loving Him.
Some redefine the fear of God for believers to “respecting” Him. While respect is definitely included in the concept of fearing God, there is more to it than that. A biblical fear of God, for the believer, includes understanding how much God hates sin and fearing His judgment on sin—even in the life of a believer. Hebrews 12:5-11 describes God’s discipline of the believer. While it is done in love (Hebrews 12:6), it is still a fearful thing. When we were children, our fear of discipline from our parents no doubt prevented some evil actions on our part. The same should be true in our relationship with God. We should fear His discipline, and therefore seek to live our lives in a way that pleases Him.
Believers are not to be scared of God. We have no reason to be scared of Him. We have His promise that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39). We have His promise that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Fearing God means having a reverence for Him that greatly impacts the way we live. The fear of God is respecting Him, obeying Him, submitting to His discipline, and worshiping Him in awe.
Through Jeremiah’s vision of the good figs and the bad figs (Jeremiah 24:1–10), God encourages the prophet with a promise to care for a remnant of His people in exile. The Lord would work in their hearts and one day bring them back to their land: “I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up, and not tear them down; I will plant them, and not pluck them up. I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart” (verses 6–7, ESV).
Inspired by this vision, Jeremiah writes a letter from Jerusalem to the exiles in Babylon, urging them to live peacefully and patiently in the land because God has good plans for their future (Jeremiah 29:1–14). Again, through Jeremiah, the Lord calls the people to return to Him with their whole hearts: “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you . . . and will bring you back from captivity” (verses 12–14). The prophet Joel delivers a similar call to repentance: “‘Even now,’ declares the Lord, ‘return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God’” (Joel 2:12–13).
In these passages, repentance from sin is conceived as returning to God with a whole heart. Interestingly, in Jeremiah’s vision, the Lord Himself begins the work of repentance by changing their hearts. God did the same for the children of Israel when they disobeyed the covenant under Moses. The Lord promised to circumcise their hearts so they would love Him and return to Him with their whole hearts and souls (Deuteronomy 30:1–10). True repentance that turns us away from sin and back to God begins when the Lord changes our hearts. He gives us “an undivided heart” and “a new spirit,” removing our stony hearts and replacing them with “a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 11:19; see also Ezekiel 36:26; Jeremiah 32:38–39).
The great longing of God’s heart is for people who are far away in spiritual rebellion to repent of their sins and return to a place of wholehearted obedience and devotion to the Lord (Luke 15:11–32). This theme weaves throughout the entire Bible (Nehemiah 1:9; Zechariah 1:3; Malachi 3:7; 1 John 1:9). In His loving grace, God leads us to repentance (Titus 2:11–14; 1 Peter 5:10). In His goodness and kindness, He draws us back to Himself (John 6:44; Romans 2:4). By working in our hearts to change our minds about sin, He does for us that which we cannot do for ourselves. He creates in us new hearts, clean and pure (Psalm 51:10), so that we want to return to Him, our source of life, and love Him with all our hearts.
Returning to God with our whole heart indicates the sincerity of our repentance and devotion to the Lord (Jeremiah 3:10; 1 Kings 8:46–50). God wants us to love Him and dedicate ourselves to Him with everything we’ve got—heart, soul, mind, and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5; 13:3; Matthew 22:37). Samuel urged the people to “worship the Lord with all your heart, and don’t turn your back on him” (1 Samuel 12:20, NLT).
A whole heart for God is an undivided heart (Psalm 86:11). Too often, our hearts become divided through sin and distracted by the things of this world. Just like the stubborn and rebellious children of Israel, we lose interest in what God wants. If we find ourselves in this predicament—more interested in pleasing ourselves than pleasing God—we must surrender our divided hearts to God.
Do you need to return to God with a whole heart? Then heed the apostle Paul’s plea to “live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord” (1 Corinthians 7:35). Let God change your heart as you repent from sin and follow James’ urging to “come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world” (James 4:8, NLT).

Tea Time Manna
Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
—Isaiah 55:6
Isaiah declares that God is always close to those who genuinely seek after him and call on him as their God. In fact, God is fully present as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in us, with us, and making his home in us when we obey him (John 14:15-17, 18, 23). The real problem is that we can drift away from him, lose interest in him, and leave his presence (Hebrews 2:1, 3:12). So let’s seek God and receive his grace. Let’s obey God and discover that his presence and help are with us, recognizing that he alone truly saves and makes his presence real in us and to us.
Prayer
Father, please help me, through your Holy Spirit, as I grow into seeking you with all my heart. Please be real to me and make your presence known to me as I seek to know you through your Scriptures, your living Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. I long to know you as my Abba Father and be known to you as your loving and obedient child. Bless me with your assuring presence as I learn complete trust in you as my tender but powerful Father. Father, not only be my God, but also be real to me in ways that transcend explanation and emotion. Help me to sense your nearness and to know your presence. In the name of Jesus I pray this. Amen and Amen

The Trojan horse Called Islam – coming to a City near You!

Modern biblical prophecy interpretations with contemporary political narratives concerning demographic and cultural shifts in Western cities , Protecting Jerusalem . But Loose Locally !
The historic rise and global expansion of Islam in the 7th century CE is sometimes juxtaposed in alternative or polemical Christian eschatology with the Fourth Seal of the Book of Revelation, which depicts the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse riding a pale green horse named Death.
The Historical Innovation of Islam
- Emergence (7th Century CE): Islam originated in the Arabian Peninsula through the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad beginning in 610 CE.
- Rapid Expansion: Within decades of Muhammad’s death in 632 CE, the early Muslim caliphates expanded across the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of Europe and Asia.
- Cultural and Scientific Synthesis: The Islamic Golden Age preserved, translated, and advanced classical knowledge in mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and philosophy, profoundly reshaping global civilization.

The Fourth Seal and the Pale Horse in Eschatology
- Biblical Text (Revelation 6:7–8): When the Lamb opens the fourth seal, a pale horse appears. Its rider is named Death, and Hades (the Grave) follows close behind. Authority is given to them over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, plague, and wild beasts.
- The Color Chloros: The Greek word used for the horse’s color is chloros, which translates to yellowish-green or pale (the color of a sickly, dying plant or corpse).
- Polemical and Alternative Interpretations: Certain modern commentators and Christian polemicists interpret the fourth horseman as a symbol representing the rise of Islam or regional empires due to military conquests that altered Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Christendom.
- Mainstream Scholarly and Historical Consensus: Mainstream biblical scholars view the four horsemen as symbolic depictions of general human crisis—conquest, warfare, economic scarcity, and mortality—rooted in the 1st-century historical and political context of the Roman Empire, rather than serving as specific predictions for centuries-later religious movements.
Historically, the imagery of a lion with eagle’s wings comes from the biblical Book of Daniel (Daniel 7:4), which mainstream historians attribute to ancient Babylon. However, certain modern dispensationalist prophecy writers interpret these symbols as modern global powers. Alongside this, terms like the “Trojan Horse” are frequently cited in debates surrounding multiculturalism, secularization, and the growth of Muslim populations in major British and American cities.
1. The Prophetic Allegory: The Lion and Eagle Wings

In modern geopolitical interpretations of biblical prophecy, authors frequently map the four beasts of Daniel 7 onto contemporary nations rather than ancient empires:
- The Lion (Great Britain): The heraldic symbol of the United Kingdom is historically the lion. Prophecy commentators suggest the lion represents the British Empire.
- The Eagle’s Wings (The United States): The United States uses the bald eagle as its national emblem. Commentators view the “plucking” or breaking away of the eagle’s wings from the lion as a prophetic depiction of the American Revolutionary War and the 1776 Declaration of Independence.
- The “Broken” or Weakened State: In these interpretations, the plucking of the wings leaves both the lion and the eagle vulnerable, which some writer’s link to a perceived spiritual or political decline in the West.
2. The “Trojan Horse” Narrative and Western Cities
The phrase “Trojan Horse” enters discussions about Islam in the West through two distinct avenues—a specific historical event in England and a broader political theory regarding demographics.
- The Birmingham Trojan Horse Affair (2014): The term became prominent due to an anonymous letter leaked in 2014 alleging an Islamist plot named “Operation Trojan Horse” to systematically infiltrate and take over state schools in Birmingham, England. Extensive official investigations later concluded that no organized extremist plot existed, and the original letter was widely discredited as a hoax. However, the event deeply influenced UK counter-terrorism policies and intensified public debate over multiculturalism.
- Demographic Shifts in Major Cities: Cities like London, Birmingham, New York, and Detroit have seen their Muslim populations grow due to immigration: Islam Trojan Horses and natural demographic trends. In political discourse, critics use the “Trojan Horse” metaphor to argue that these shifting demographics challenge traditional Western secular laws or Christian heritages. Conversely, sociologists and community leaders point out that these shifts reflect standard multicultural urban growth, with the vast majority of Muslim citizens integrating into civic life.
- The Target – 3 Major Biblical Role Players capitols Invaded by the Islamic Trojan Horse of Islam
- 3 Major Role Players in the End Time Master Plan of God is The Lion = England , The Eagle Wings = America and the Women with the 12 Stars around her Head = Israel , The Islam World = The Pale (Light Green Horse) – Islam Trojan Horse has Political Control over London and New York , Both Capitals of The Lions and The Eagle wings Hearts . will this Coming Election in Israel be a Takeover by the Trojan Horse of Islam , Or is the Expected Jewish Messiah (Not Jesus) also the Expected Islam Mahdi (an awaited messianic and eschatological figure in Islam who is prophesied to appear before the End Times to rid the world of tyranny and restore justice) .

Rise in Single, Disengaged Men Marks ‘Spiritual Battle’

A dramatic rise in unmarried men is cause for concern, warned Christian apologist Dr. Sean McDowell. “At its core, we have a spiritual battle that’s taking place,” he said on “Washington Watch.” “People have believed lies — in particular men — that their happiness and meaning and purpose that men are built to yearn for is going to be found somewhere else than in family.”
The Institute for Family Studies (IFS) recently reported that the U.S. contained 30.4 million single men aged 18 to 39 in 2025, nearly 50% more than in 2000, when there were 20.7 million. This increase corresponded with a 15% drop in married men among that age group, from 18.1 million in 2000 to 15.4 million in 2025 — despite 22% overall population growth.
“I don’t want to leave out that both Paul and Jesus say there is a role for single men,” McDowell allowed. “Jesus was single. Paul was single. We can honor the Lord through singleness and honor the Lord through marriage.”
When the disciples responded to Jesus’s teaching on marriage by exclaiming, “It is better not to marry,” Jesus answered, “Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given” (Matthew 19:10-11). Similarly, Paul said, “I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own gift from God, one of one kind and one of another” (1 Corinthians 7:7).
But both Paul and Jesus envisioned a life of sacrificial singleness lived “for the sake of the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:12). In general, that does not describe the increase in America’s “young single male” demographic.
“A lot of these men that we’re talking about are kind of like drifters,” said FRC Senior Fellow Jody Hice, guest host of “Washington Watch.” “Many of them are out of work. They’re out of college, some of them even out of community for all practical purposes.”
This profile parallels economic reasons for remaining single. “The number of men going to college is now being dwarfed by women,” said McDowell. “Economic instability is on the rise. Joblessness is on the rise when it comes to men. So they’re drifting here. That’s a piece of the story.” In July, employment among men aged 16-24 was 13% lower than in 2000.
However, “the larger piece is a lack of a larger vision, a lack of a deeper purpose, and the goodness and beauty of marriage,” McDowell suggested.
Consider the popular messages young men hear from entertainment, celebrities, and social media: wealth creation is bad; masculinity is toxic; men can do nothing that women cannot; if anything, men are oppressors who should feel bad about themselves. What young man would want to participate in a culture that show him so little respect? Men are playing down to society’s expectations.
McDowell proposed a proverbial analogue to describe the current situation. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18 KJV) is “what’s happening in terms of marriage perishing in our society, so to speak,” he said. “People have lacked a biblical vision of what marriage is for.”
“Marriage is pretty central to the Bible and what it means to be human,” McDowell explained. “We have marriage … clearly laid out in Genesis chapter two, ‘A man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife’ [Genesis 2:24 KJV]. So, marriage is God’s design.”
Marriage is for, “of course, companionship. And, of course, as we see in the beginning of Genesis, to populate and fill the earth [Genesis 1:28],” he continued. But the purpose of marriage is, “more than anything else, to reflect God’s love for the church, Paul tells us in Ephesians chapter five [5:25-33]. That’s really the primary purpose of marriage itself.”
Contrary to the biblical view, “the large theme that we’re seeing here is certain secular ideas about what it means to be human, about the purpose of human life, about what brings happiness,” McDowell added. “Marriage in itself is now seen as just my means to find my romantic partner and finding happiness. … So, if a lot of people think they can get happy without having that, what’s the purpose of getting married?”
In a culture of deteriorating moral norms, counterfeit versions of happiness abound. Pornography, video games, sports betting, and other technological enticements promise instant gratification, compared to the long, hard road of faithful marriage. Young men now have access to all these and more in their pocket. Combined with other cultural messages that denigrate masculine endeavor and dissuade men from pursuing any productive purpose, many young men even dare to believe that the longer, slower road holds greater joy.
But sin always deceives, and many young men are now finding its promises to be empty. While some grope for meaning in conspiracy theories, radicalism, or violence, others are turning to the church. “One hopeful sign in the numbers” is that “young men are returning to church,” said Hice. From 2022 to 2025, the number of men aged 18-29 who said religion was “very important” to them climbed from 28% to 42%.
“I remember the conversations 10, 20, 25 years ago about the ‘feminization of the church,’ whether it was in worship, whether it was in the sermons, that women were far more likely to go to church and men would kind of only go if the women would drag them there,” McDowell recalled. “We’ve seen a shift in this. Now, I mourn that a lot less women apparently want to go to church as a whole … but I am thrilled that more men want to go back to church.”
The return of men to church is biblically exciting, as Scripture obligates men to be spiritual leaders in their home.
Furthermore, “there is a connection between going to church and the message you get there about God’s design for sexuality, about God’s design for history and the world. That includes marriage,” McDowell said. “Also, if you just start going to church, you’re likely to meet people of the opposite sex with common values who also probably want to get married.”
Thus, the return of young men to church may reduce the singleness rate, as well as fortifying them against the culture’s easy lies.
“I would just tell churches, this is an opportunity to meet together and lean into this, take advantage of this and make sure you’re equipping men,” McDowell encouraged. “Make sure the church services that you have are inviting to men and giving them the practical resources to lead their families and even single men, potentially, to find a spouse.”
Men are attracted to church not by cultural platitudes — they can find those anywhere — or milquetoast Christianity. Rather, men are stirred to action by bold words and calls to courageous actions, like repentance.
Fortunately, this is exactly how the word of God should be preached (Ephesians 6:19). “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). May the church’s counsel to young men be sharp and pointed, and different from the world.
Suicide Among Teen Girls Is Rising

The gender gap in teenage suicide is narrowing, showing an alarming increase in suicides among girls. The suicide death rates of boys and girls ages 10-14 almost evened out between 2018-2024, Axios reported last week.
Previously, data showed boys experienced the highest suicide death rates, with girls beginning to contemplate suicide more frequently. Suicide was the second leading cause of death among 10- to 14-year-olds from 2018 to 2024, according to a JAMA Pediatrics study. Additionally, suicide death rates for one- to 27-year-olds between 2014-2024 increased in most states, growing to almost 20%, showing an increase from 13.8 suicides per 100,000 people to 16.4.
“The rapidly narrowing gender gap in suicide among children ages 10 to 14 is especially alarming: the suicide rate among girls has more than quadrupled since 2007, and by 2024, the rate among boys was only 4% higher,” David Closson, director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at Family Research Council, told The Washington Stand.
Jean Twenge, a psychologist and author of the research, told Axios that statistical changes are “a bit of a mystery.” Twenge believes that possible reasons behind the explosive rise in female suicides may be that girls were not adequately impacted by school suicide prevention programs, the unachievable beauty standards in society, and social media.
“We know from a lot of research that the association between time spent on social media, depression, self-harm, and other mental health issues is stronger for girls than for boys, and girls also spend more time on social media,” Twenge remarked. She also shared that “other research she has studied found that Black and Latina girls have the highest rates of social media use, which could be contributing to the trend.”
Closson said that while there is ongoing research to understand the causes for suicide, such a complex mental health crisis should not be reduced to a single explanation. “These numbers reveal a generation struggling with profound loneliness, anxiety, and despair,” he observed. “Our culture tells young people, especially girls immersed in social media, that they must construct their own identity, secure the approval of others, and find their value in appearance, achievement, or online attention. That is an unbearable burden for a child to carry.”
Teenagers live in an age where they are bombarded with influences that deeply affect their mental and spiritual wellbeing. Artificial intelligence-powered chatbots and social media addiction are just a few of the forces that plague them. Teenagers aren’t as social as they used to be — some make friends with ChatGPT, substituting an online bot for authentic human connection.
Pew Research Center reported at the end of last year that nearly one in five teens admit to using the social media sites TikTok and YouTube almost constantly. Pew also found that 64% use AI chatbots, with three in 10 admitting to doing so daily.
Brown University’s School of Public Health reported last year that one in eight adolescents and young adults will even turn to AI for mental health advice “amid reports that OpenAI is facing seven lawsuits alleging that ChatGPT drove users to delusions and suicide.” In November 2025, The Wall Street Journal reported that there are four lawsuits representing people who died by suicide after AI interactions, and an additional three who “experienced psychological trauma.”
According to Focus on the Family, identifiable risk factors for suicide among young people include mood disorders, substance abuse, certain personality disorders, childhood abuse, and divorce of parents. Focus further emphasized that parents “should be on the alert to ensure that their child is not the victim of either physical or social bullying.” “Resist the temptation to minimize a teen’s feelings. It’s not important that the problem seems trivial or easily solved to you. What counts is how he sees it,” the organization recommended.
Closson explained that if a parent has any inclination their child is struggling with suicidal ideation, they should seek the necessary help. “There is no shame in recognizing that you need support. Reach out to your church, a trusted biblical counselor, or another qualified professional, and make sure your child is not left to struggle alone. The fact that your child is going through this does not mean that you have failed as a parent.”
It is the responsibility of Christians to point those suffering to the hope of the gospel, especially the young and most vulnerable, Closson underscored. “In Christ, despair does not have the final word, no life is beyond redemption, and no one needs to suffer alone. Every person is created in the image of God, possesses inherent dignity, and has a life filled with meaning and purpose that does not depend on popularity, performance, or feelings.”
